Might be old news, but I've seen that Ringside has the first 'bundle' up for sale, if anyone missed-out, or fancies another Mean Gene or something. They also have Jeff Hardy. They're charging $69.99 for the bundle - might that be an indication of how much they'll charge for the nWo bundle when that goes up? Hopefully not that expensive, but almost certainly dearer than the Mattel Creations bundles I'd think.
This is really interesting; I would assume they are sets RSC bought at retail, since the first bundle sold out so quickly. But who knows...

Yikes, 70 bucks, plus international shipping would probably put me off getting the NWO sets if that is how they are priced

Yeah, I missed out as I had something come up that aftrenoon that I couldn’t get out of and the set sold out in 5 hours. Was planning to get two sets as soon as I got in that night. Would be be annoyed if RSC bought a huge load of them, only to sell them on for an extra few dollars. I’d grab a couple of sets from them but shipping is $60 plus import costs make it a no-go, unfortunately.

For us U.K. collectors it works out at over £98 per set of 4 figures with shipping and import costs. That’s a lot more than the £55 shipped from Mattel Creations. if anyone has a spare set or two of the first Wave of these, please hit me up!

This might be a set where we should wait to see what an importer like Wrestling Trader does when they list it; if shipping will be that high for an individual set then this might be a better avenue for us.

Yes, I’m happy to wait it out for a better option, such as the one you mentioned. I know a couple of people have been selling them on for £80/£85 on U.K. FB pages if you can see them in time, so I’m happy to wait. Just after a loose and MOC set if I can find something. Good luck with the search and I’ll update you if I see anything decent come up.

This cost is 20% of the total figures cost AND shipping cost (I know this has been noted above). The fact their shipping cost is so high makes the overall cost with the VAT too high, in my opinion. It would be a shame as one of the great selling points with Mattel Creations was that they’d made these available at a reasonable price. If further sets are then more expensive as they’re an exclusive through someone else, that would be disappointing. In saying this, maybe RSC have upped the price on these as they’re no longer available elsewhere and their exclusive set will be the same as Mattel Creations at $55.

I noticed last night that Mattel Creations is now forcing us in the UK to deal with prices in £ rather than $ - even using a VPN once you enter a UK address it defaults over to charging in GBP. They say that the price includes all customs and duties charges. I can't find a way immediately to avoid that and just pay the standard USD price and take my chances with customs over here. That means that an item like the second Retros bundle: -US price (before sales tax): $55 - £48.50 -UK price (including customs and duty): £76 - $86.20 So Mattel are adding £27.50 to a <£50 item - which seems excessive! I received my Retros set today; no issues (despite not having ever received tracking) and no customs.

LimitedRunGames did something similar lately, and I'd never paid customs on their products being delivered before so it made it totally not worth it anymore.

I've just realised checking my shipment information for the retros I ordered I had shipping confirmation on the 6th of September (hasn't arrived yet). But the shipment says 1 of 2.
I've not had confirmation of a 2nd shipment in the 16 days since that first shipment either.
Has anyone who ordered 2 had theirs divided up, and did they get a 2nd shipping email? Checking the order page it says my order has only been partially fulfilled.

Something I've always wanted for this line. I've heard rumors that, before it went belly-up, TRU was going to carry Wrestlemania and Summerslam waves of retros. Survivor Series is a great idea, and your point about main events got me thinking about something like iconic match two-packs. Savage-Warrior WM7, Razor-Shawn WM10, Bret-Bulldog SS 92 etc. I feel like this could be a way to get some of those retread characters people want without taking too many spots away from the general waves that are working on adding (mostly) new faces to the line. Yes! All those sound great! Other options make Ss 92' a 4-pack of the 2 big matches, Bret, Bulldog, Warrior, Macho. Hogan and Warrior from WM6. Bret and Shawn WM12. Mega Maniacs and Money Inc WM9. Hogan (in red), Bret, Yoko WM9 Main Event 3 pack, maybe make it a 4-pack and throw in Fuji. Feels like there's almost unlimited possibilities with a line like that, that SS 92 pack would be a near-instant sellout if well executed. After posting I was even thinking about certain things from WCW, a series like that could be a good way to get the classic Goldberg Mattel didn't deliver with Series 3, maybe with someone like DDP if he's available to use? I imagine Halloween Havoc carding could really be something...

I feel like Alan Grant from Jurassic Park from the scene when they are in the restaurant if you get what I mean I was so, so excited when they brought this line back and thought the first series was awesome, the second series was not for me, but the NWO sets and the series three lineups I was interested in. However, the new pricing for international customers is just insane! I know that prices on things are going up all over the world, but this just seems like they are trying to see what they can get away with.

Got my *first delivery yesterday. I actually missed the postie, who left a card for me to collect them from the depot - I wouldn’t have been able to get there until Saturday so was a little disappointed 😂 But lo and behold, the good postie came back again later in the early evening! So I got them after all! But it was only 1 set - so I’m hoping the other will arrive soon - anyone else had this problem?
Like a lot of others, I’d had mixed feelings about them. Similar to my initial thoughts on the returning wave 1, I was excited to have the back but seemed a little disappointed in the execution. But that change once they arrived, and I felt that had a real charm about them and loved them.
And I feel similar about this wave. Some things didn’t make sense and so contributed to a sense of disappointment (I’m looking at you Anvil - who surely should’ve had the Rock body (big E has wrong legs). But I think they’re great now they’re here.
My biggest surprise is Jimmy Hart - while I thought it was cool to get him, initially I preferred my Darren Sedgwick custom figure - which I think is possible the best Hasbro custom I’ve seen. And the retro version seemed like the head was a bit too full/round. But now it’s in hand, I think it looks great; the head isn’t as round as it seemed and it’s a toss up between which I prefer.
So all in, I think these are great. 👍🏻 from me, Steve.

No, actually... I'd much rather take my chance with Customs, thanks. I used to order LOADS of figures and collectibles from ebay (US) - and was very rarely charged extra (ie. import/custom/handling fees)... maybe about 1 parcel in every 5 or 6. Since they started with the Global Shipping Program, I hardly ever order anything from their international sites now. I can see this happening with Mattel Creations too - and it will end up affecting everyone... how many backers of the Entrance Set were from international buyers? Quite a few, I'd imagine. How many would back future projects at €380+ ? Same with the Retro sets - if this is the new norm going forward, then sadly I (like most other international folk) would stop collecting them... can the line survive on US sales alone? 😬

I got my retros today (UK). Both sets even though only 1 set ever got marked as dispatched and my order says it was only partially fulfilled.
Very strange. But they came in separate shippers, and I didn't pay any import. Hopefully the Hogan/Zeus set goes the same way.

Both my sets were sent-out at the same time and I got my tracking for both by emailing Mattel Creations (the last time they replied to me by email BTW) but only one has arrived. That was early on in the last week, but the other hasn’t updated since Belgium several days ago, which is frustrating. With further strikes coming-up then I want it ASAP, as well as the remaining Arenas and all my Machos

I’m having a hard time remembering/finding this info but does anyone remember when the nWo RSC Retros are going on sale?
