They could have Syd as Ref.. It's a good route to go, event packs.. Imagine classic survivor series 4 packs, or main events..

Would like Hogan in the Desert Storm match attire if they did that set. I'm sure it would just be Hogan/Warrior and Sarge/Sheik from SummerSlam 91, though. We don't have Adnan as an Elite. Safe to say he's not an option for a Retro. Not necessarily - could just be they haven’t found a spot for him. He’s a hard sell by himself and potently could be a double pack but we haven’t seen many of them outside the championship collection etc but in a 4 pack he’d fit right in with that theme. I’m hoping and I think we will see more undercard guys in the 4 pack than otherwise. I.e. your not likely to see a Nikolai in legends or ultimate etc but in a 4 box he’s a perfect one to add in.

A lot of good options with this. 1989 Hulkamaniacs (Hogan, Jake, Ax, Smash), 1990 Warriors (Warrior, Tornado, LOD), 1989 & 1990 Million Dollar Team (DiBiase, Zeus, Powers of Pain) (DiBiase, Undertaker, Rhythm and Blues), 1990 Visionaries (Model, Warlord, Power & Glory), 1993 All-Americans (Luger, Taker, Steiner Brothers), etc.

A summerslam 92 with jumper, Tennis gear, racket etc would be a great ultimate imo

(literally the worst figure style ever LOL)

I do love the original model figure though, that savage mk1 body which Marty etc also had is a great figure imo

That was bad for Flair, thought Rude was ok but could have been better. Great body for Kid though. And I'd say I actually prefer the jumper over alot of the body styles Mattel has chosen. I really don't like the split torso or any other where they are in that weird stance, they sorta just look like generic figures or AWA Remcos.

I literally watched The Warriors Vs The Perfect team the other day! Loved reading these line-ups, again.

So almost a week since "Delivery" and still no Retros, response from Fedex, response from Mattel Creations OR a response from Mattel. At what point do I just dispute the charge? I had to call and cancel my order yesterday. My account showed a label created 9/1 with no movement since. They made me wait until 9/16 before they would "consider" the bundle lost.

I would pop huge for any of the above options. Not sure all those guys are still under Legends deals but we can still dream.

I've heard rumors that, before it went belly-up, TRU was going to carry Wrestlemania and Summerslam waves of retros. Survivor Series is a great idea, and your point about main events got me thinking about something like iconic match two-packs. Savage-Warrior WM7, Razor-Shawn WM10, Bret-Bulldog SS 92 etc. I feel like this could be a way to get some of those retread characters people want without taking too many spots away from the general waves that are working on adding (mostly) new faces to the line.

Yes! All those sound great! Other options make Ss 92' a 4-pack of the 2 big matches, Bret, Bulldog, Warrior, Macho. Hogan and Warrior from WM6. Bret and Shawn WM12. Mega Maniacs and Money Inc WM9. Hogan (in red), Bret, Yoko WM9 Main Event 3 pack, maybe make it a 4-pack and throw in Fuji.

would love to see a Ted DiBiase and Virgil two-pack (Virgil obviously in the silver/pink outfit) because that was definitely missing from the Hasbro era - the Virgil boxing shorts outfit just looked odd IMO

why do you say it would be a hard sell? I don't get this comment neither, you put Hogan in and do a real good job on him, I'm picturing something like Hasbro #3 but in the attire he wore out at WM7. He would need to be done right though, I wouldn't want just a repaint of the one they're doing for Hollywood Hogan. And people have been wanting the Iraqi Slots. Hogan and Slots would sell the set, the other 2 would just tag along. Hogan would be an easy sell. Slaughter not the best and not the worst…hard to say how much of a demand there would be (I think they would have to nail the execution). Sheik fits the time period perfectly but they have already done a figure of him which didn’t seem to be a hit ticket item from what I recall (maybe since it was outside of the Hasbro era). He really wasn’t around that long during this time period nor did he do much. General Adnan would probably be the least desirable out of them all. I just think there would be limited interest in this set outside of Hogan and Slaughter. Now if you did Macho King and Warrior, I think you would have a MASSIVE seller…but that’s stating the obvious lol. It’s not that the WM VII 4 pack that was proposed wouldn’t sell at all…you would mostly be selling to a more limited fanbase compared to previous releases. They have had a hard enough time with the current Wave 2 4 pack which is somewhat diverse.

Hogan with the blue bandana, Sarge in the Iraqi sympathizer entrance suit, and Warrior and Savage in their wrestling gear would be great.

Might be old news, but I've seen that Ringside has the first 'bundle' up for sale, if anyone missed-out, or fancies another Mean Gene or something.
They also have Jeff Hardy.
They're charging $69.99 for the bundle - might that be an indication of how much they'll charge for the nWo bundle when that goes up? Hopefully not that expensive, but almost certainly dearer than the Mattel Creations bundles I'd think.
