These all look great. Those WM7 tights would have been great for a Series 3 Savage: Man, thats a big Macho Man Collection. You Guys seem to be the Biggest Macho Man Fans here...you have other Macho Figures too, or only Retros? Yeah, I have each of his old Hasbro figures, both MOC and loose. I have his green trunks retro, but never got the NWO one. I also have his Mattel figures. I think the only ones I'm missing are the E38 figure, the RSC Wolfpac figure, the basic Macho King (purple trunks) and the basic WM3 figure with the ring cart. I'm interested to see what PowerTown does with the Poffo family and the Savage figure. Will they go with a WWF look or an earlier look from Mid South or IWA.

So his deal with Mattel isn’t exclusive? Would love to see ZST get his hands on Savage.

My guess is that the Macho King when he get him will probably be WrestleMania 7 since that is one of the biggest matches in history so if Mattel only do one Macho King (which they probably would only do once given the limited space for figures) then I'd think they would go for this one. The most likely alternative I think would be the tights the mini-Hasbro had since that is the one that us collectors think should've been planned for the series 3 figure (who wasn't Macho King technically, but still) - remember that Steve and the current team are well aware of the history of the line, and they already got the green trunks Macho out based on the history of that Hasbro figure, so this would fit as well. Outside of those two outfits then I think designs that have already been tackled by the Elites are a good bet, though as we've seen recently with R&B Greg the Retros aren't just restricted to designs Mattel have already done in their other lines. Do we know what real attire the green/ purple mini Hasbro attire was based on? Seems to be the tights from Survivor Series 1991: EDIT: Judging at the box art, it looks like the original attire for mini Savage was going to be the Series 2/3 figures purple trunks. I'm guessing since the minis didn't come out until 1992, they must have decided to paint over the original purple trunks.

Yeah, Savage is like Hogan and Andre, his estate/family own the rights to his name and likeness, he can sign with multiple companies. PowerTown signed the Poffo's, Randy, Lanny and Angelo.

While those NWO sets are my favorite retros so far, I am not confident I will be able to get them. I just cannot justify £100 on four retro figures if that is what they are going to end up being including shipping to the UK.

Agreed, though I'm really happy we got the two Macho's we got. I always keep NWO Macho at the front of my display, the detailing on that figure is brilliant and he'll only be enhanced further by having the RSC figures join him. Green trunks Macho was one of the more exciting surprises at the time for me. The Series 3 Hasbro just should have been the long tights Macho. Even when series 2 came out I believe he was phasing out of the short trunks, though S2 Macho King is my favorite hasbro of all time so I have absolutely no complaints with that. But Hasbro took what was already a vaguely outdated look and then made it completely outdated because (to my knowledge) Savage never went back to the short trunks as the Macho Man. For a line that made a wide variety of new molds and was on top of keeping things reasonably current, especially early-on, that's a really head-scratching spot to cost cut. But they were always a year behind what was actually on TV, due to time to develop and produce. I always assumed Series 3 Macho was just going to be a straight re-release of the Series 2 Macho King, as they did with re-packing Piper and Duggan into Series 3, they just took away the accessories and made the very minor change to trunks late in the game I'd think. See I was unaware they repacked some of series 2 with series 3. I'm aware Hasbro did this like I've heard they packed Jake and I think Boss Man with S2 and then later on most famously did the Razor and Shawn yellow card figures on the blue cards along with their repaints, but I'd never heard about that. TIL, thank you!

Later on it was easier to notice since the cardbacks were different colors.

Series 2 is now sold out on Mattel Creations. Hopefully, that means there's definitely going to be a good future for this line

Hopefully, that means there's definitely going to be a good future for this line Hopefully, and hope that also means if RSC got any stock of S2, that they could put them up soon. Would be nice if they went up along with the NWO sets. I'd like a couple more each of Bret and Jim.

Hopefully, that means there's definitely going to be a good future for this line Interesting - I was planning to pick-up my third set when the next Ultimates exclusive goes up on there so I didn't see this coming. Usually they put-up a "Last few remaining" message or something similar before it sells-out - if that didn't happen here then maybe they have sold on the remaining stock on to Ringside or a discounter. Or maybe the hype the last couple of days over the nWo set has brought new eyes to the Retros on Mattel Creations? Seems less likely but not completely out of the question.

Anyone know how much these will be? If I had to guess I would say each 2-pack will be $29.99.

Got them. I checked at 11:58 & they were live. $35 for each 2 pack, or $65 for both.

Just got mine, $64.99 was going to get 2 but shipping to uk was coming in at $32 for each box, not paying $64 for shipping. Mattel’s shipping prices are much more reasonable than rsc

I got them I used the Major WF Pod code to save 10 percent so I was very happy about that, they came to around £75 shipped to the UK, the last set direct from Mattel came to £69 so I did not mind paying the extra little bit on Ringside Collectibles. I thought I may be priced out of these to be honest so I am pretty happy with what I paid. These are my favorite figures in the retro line so far!
