Agreed; the Diesel and Macho 2 figures gave me encouragement as well that there is an old-school Hasbro fan at the wheel of the line. I remember hearing that Bill hasn’t been on the line since the excellent second series, but those recent choices make me think the line is in good hands (or at least in the hands of someone easily influenced by Ryder’s collection ). I’d love Anvil with a Rock-type action, particularly if they release a matching Bret with the clothesline action to combine with for the Hart Attack. Needs to be a fatter body really, but the action at least would be ideal. Yes, this would definitely be the ideal I think. It seems a lot of people love the hasbro Bret, bit I always thought he looked a bit special. Clothesline action all the way That would be cool, I do always despise any custom of Bret with any other body besides the original, but that may come down to the head having been designed for the original frame.

i really wish mattel would be better at distribution. series 7 is aplenty at all Walmarts which is HOW IT SHOULD BE. every series should have been like that...2-3 pegs with multiple cases at each store. if they are making these things by the thousands i dont understand why some of them just never showed up anywhere....and then series 5 showed up like 1 case each at Target but their prices on Retros are WAY too high. The only thing that saved it was because New Day were so popular and that Macho is one of the best they'd done up to that point
i just miss the days when Jakks had even distribution at retail, and you really didn't have to go crazy trying to find all the normal stuff

Nice customs. Can't wait to see what's going to be shown at sdcc.

so its safe to say that series 5 & 6 will never hit the mass retail stores anymore I'm not holding my breath anymore. I know Hawkins has said on their podcast a few times that he truly believes they will hit the discounted stores, but I just don't know anymore. I gave up the other day and bought a Kofi, Wyatt, and Sting. I still need Savage, Nakamura, and Bryan, but didn't want to pay inflated prices. I guess time will tell and I hope I'm proven wrong.

Thanks for the positive responses towards the customs i made and shared in the previous posts...Just some guys that I personally wanted to fill out my collection especially the later stage 123 Kid. I really do hope the line continues and hopefully with new body types...The possibilities are endless considering the main line heads fit pretty much perfectly on every body I have tried so far. Only takes boiling the retro and the main line fig for about 30 seconds and they pop right off and onto the other...
I popped the jericho and angle heads onto all the main line bodies I used and will be giving them to my son to use as jobbers lol

Bored here, so if sticking to guys Mattel can potentially make, if we see Retro 11 and 12 at SDCC, what would be your 8 if you could pick?
Mine:
Hart Foundation Bret and Anvil USA Lex New Gen Double J King Mabel Heel Jake Vader (WWF run) Bulldog (95' return long unbraided hair, or camp Cornette heel version)

If they’re sticking to their era ratios for each series, i’d like to see: Harley Race (Old skool/golden era) Vader (New gen era) Batista (RA era) Jinder Mahal (current era, with head scarf) Jim Neidhart HF (Old skool/golden) Jeff Jarrett (new gen) Rey Mysterio (RA) Rusev (current) But don’t get me wrong; what I’d actually love is: Haku Hercules Harley Vader Jerry Lawler Double J King Kong Bundy Managers & valets....list goes on!

Tugboat would be cool to see since we've now seen the unreleased mold of him, though, like Mabel and Vader they are going to need to create a large man's body sculpt for them. The custom I saw of Big John Studd looked amazing, and he would fit in the WWF Hasbro era since he was still around in 1989 when they started designing the first Hasbro series. Also, I still want a long tights Macho King.

Maybe new ring to be revealed at SDCC ? New ring with repaint/exclusive figure ? Yeah, wishful thinking on the 2nd part. If stores are going to continue carrying retros, where's the ring for new collectors to play with ? If you recall not many retailers even carried the rings. Only saw them at brick n mortar Kmarts.

I was actually thinking about this (randomly) today. I’d love for Mattel to release an orange SummerSlam ring in the spirit of the Hasbro KOTR ring like the brilliant custom rings out there, though I’d then have to insist that they release the grey-glove Undertaker so they could position both that one and the series 1 purple Undertaker facing-off in the centre of the ring on the box-art

So I was just looking at a list of released flashback figures, and I don’t know how long their merch/figure deals last, but there’s quite a few that would be great for retros.
Tugboat HF Anvil King Mabel USA Luger Doink Vader Steamboat Orndorff Studd Bundy Harley Race Red Rooster Ron Simmons
The list goes on. I didn’t realise Mattel had made so many off of my want list - so there’s hope!

I'm just getting into the retro line. I've been doing some research and am trying to figure out why a MOC Reigns is so expensive? $90 on ebay, crazy.
Also, what are some other good stores to find these at? I went to my local wal-mart (had nothing) and target (only had an Ambrose and Rollins).
Gamestop? Retro game stores?
