I would actually pay that price for Heenan, but I would need to see a lot of pictures loose and hear what it feels like in person to make sure it's something I'd want in my collection. And by the time that's possible, the prices will really be too high for me Looks-wise I feel like Epic is doing the best job out there right now. FC is close behind them as well. The figures feel good but aren’t as hard of plastic as Mattel or Hasbro uses. Their posing and detail feels more like a continuation of the Hasbro line than what ZST or Hasttel are doing. That isn’t a knock against either of those companies; I just feel like they are currently too far in other directions whereas Epic and FC have found that sweet spot. I know I’ve posted some of this elsewhere so my apologies if this is redundant but here are some closeups of what they look like and how they compare to other lines: http://instagram.com/p/C5lcfpMLM2C http://instagram.com/p/C5RUZkHxpJ5
I've definitely seen your photos and been tempted.
What is the weight/feel of them compared to a Hasbro or Retro, and how does the sheen compare?

Finally, a Bobby Heenan retro! And Epic did an amazing job. I can’t believe Mattel dropped the ball and still haven’t made him.

Agree Mattel have dropped the ball. Proof here with Bobby Heenan. I'm paying 4x the price for for 1 figure not licenced by wwe but passed on the last 4 Mattel sets?

For anyone out of the loop, they are also doing this limited edition Bobby: Finally, a Bobby Heenan retro! And Epic did an amazing job. I can’t believe Mattel dropped the ball and still haven’t made him. Put away your anti-Mattel blinders. What is "amazing" about it? The suit is cool and the rings are a cool Heenan touch, but the face is nowhere near "amazing", it may be just decent if that. He's borderline cross-eyed and has an owns-a-free-candy-van look on his face.

And you think the Epic Bobby looks bad. That’s fine. Your opinion.

Again, we have no idea if he was under contract while this was a realistic possibility. I don't think anyone begrudged them for doing Mean Gene first, and there hasn't been any Heenan since that Legends in the Weasel Suit years ago.

I really am not a fan of the Heenan figure, it's such an awkward arm placement - and not versatile for many positions - especially with him getting roughed up by the babyfaces! wish he had straight arms and his blue windbreaker

Mattel Creations has a sale on right now; included is the Orange Card bundle reduced by 35%, and the New Generation bundle down by 25%.
The Hogan bundle and the ring are still at full price.

SDCC is getting close. I’m guessing we will get a look at the finished Brother Love. Do you guys think it’s a single release or part of the usual 4 pack?

Thanks. I'd buy the Hogan bundle when on sale for Big John and Ali, and sell the rest. Hope it happens.

It'll be really interesting to hear what they have planned for Brother Love - we could've read too much into the comments Mattel (by Bill IIRC?) made when he was revealed of course, but it's exciting to wonder if Mattel have found another avenue to expand the line (AS LONG AS THEY ARE NOT US EXCLUSIVES!! ). The most boring answer would be that he's just going to be in the Ringside two-packs (presumably with a debut Undertaker, which we don't really need given his Hasbros), but hopefully we will see those revealed either way. I thought they'd do the Hart Foundation next with the Ringside sets, but the short-hair Bulldog being in the August bundle must rule that out, so probably the Nation is the only major faction left that they could do if they keep going in that vein, but they have plenty of tag teams they could do if they switch away from factions. Hopefully a fun tease for the January 2025 set like they've done in the past, but at least confirmation that the Creations bundles are continuing into 2025 would be the important thing.

I agree that I think next Rinside pack is likely Nation or Hart Foundation. I was thinking with the signing of Pillman maybe a WCW tag set also with like a Hollywood Blondes and a Harlem Heat as I htink both would sell pretty well, wishful thinking. Hope Brother Love is apart of a peak 89-91 wave similar to the 3rd box. If we get him, Zeus, and a combination out of Iraqi Slaughter, Heel Jake, Short hair Rude, Sherri, or Macho King is possible this forum would explode haha

Why would they do Hart Foundation again if they just did them in Wave 2? I'm not opposed to it, I'm just genuinely curious what you would want them to do that they haven't done already?

Hart Foundation '97: Bret, Anvil, Bulldog and Pillman (obviously Owen will never be available) - that to me would be the next big faction they could do after having done DX and the nWo in the first two Ringside sets. I agree there's no need for the tag team Hart Foundation again, but the faction Hart Foundation (with the jackets) would be a bad ass boxset. But if they were going to make them then I think they wouldn't have put short-hair trunks Bulldog in the upcoming New Gen set - they could have done four or five different Bulldog looks for that set and reserved the trunks heel look for a Hart Foundation set, so the fact that they didn't tells me that they won't be doing a Hart Foundation ('97) bundle.

Yeah you're right. I wouldn't mind any of the ones you mentioned. I'm always down for Hart Foundation.

I was looking at RSC's July 4 sale, and saw that the NWO and DX four-packs are onsale for $32.
Combined with no future announcements, makes me nervous there won't be any more retro exclusives. That's really a shame.

The DX set wasn't announced until SDCC last year and RSC discounts stuff all the time.

Yeah - but that's a pretty massive discount. Were NWO also announced at the previous SDCC so a year wait -- I thought it was shorter. I guess we'll see in a month. If no SDCC announcement, think we can say that's the end of the RSC exclusives for this line.
I'm hoping Brother love is part of an RSC exclusive, and we still get 2 sets a year from Mattel Creations

Retros are my favorite, would really like to get more wcw ones, Paul orndorff to finish the wm1 set, and a four horsemen set
