I purchased for a friend and it shipped to New Jersey and then Ireland and he has it in his hands already. Yeah I've seen him post about receiving it - crazy that he's got it that quick while I'm still waiting for my order to go out 2 weeks after ordering three sets! Making customers feel appreciated clearly not a high priority at Mattel Creations it seems... Maybe you should found 'Chair.Shot Retro Deliveries Inc.' and make a fortune filling the gap Mattel Creations has created As an influencer, I usually get better treatment than most. We can run an experiment. PayPal me the money and I will order you another set and we can see if that one reaches you sooner than your original order!

This is slowest thing to ship for me from creations yet. Still no movement. Would be great if they let us know why some people have them weeks before others are even shipped.

I was just able to open my Retro set, and it is FANTASTIC!
Alundra Blazye and Yankem are even better than I thought -- and HBK looks SO much better in person. I'm very impressed.
Also - if anyone is looking for specific figures, I am selling my HBK and Bulldog. If not, I'm going to donate them plus a MOC Austin and Rock retro I have to a children's hospital -- but would love to sell to someone on here if they're looking to fill a hole in their collection.

Still no word from Mattel Creations on my order, but I have had a shipment notification appear my Shop app that I can’t recognise or trace, so I’m hoping it’s that. Naturally I have a lot of figures pre-ordered from lots of different sources, but none that should be moving any time soon so it’s probably this.

I’ve just had a shipping notification email so they’re on to UK orders definitely, and mine might have taken longer than most because I ordered quite a few days after they went up for order.

Just got mine this morning here in Canada. They look great in hand. I like the Yankem one the best. Not a retro I ever expected, but it’s great. Would love to have Glenn Jacobs/Kane sign it.

with Victoria and Jacqueline signed to Nostalgia contracts, I would love to see them added to the Retro line. I hope someday Creations can offer us all the women of the WWE in a big collector set. I’d also love to see Jazz, Bull Nakano, Luna Vachon, Ivory, Mae Young, Molly Holly, Beth Phoenix, Mickie James, Melina, Debra, Sable, and Terri (Marlena). Current girls that would fit the mold Rhea, Bianca, Asuka, Jade and Charlotte.

As with many of the sets, I can find myself feeling a little underwhelmed after the reveals - but once they arrive in hand they have a real charm and I’m happy with them. I was a bit deflated when this set was announced as I’d literally just made customs of Yankem & Alundra….and Alundra took a fair bit of work!

Also, I totally agree biggerbetterbadder -- the Yankem is incredible. Truly feels like it's right out of the original Hasbro line (except for the head being made of the different material -- like all Retros). Absolutely incredible -- and I think Blayze is great also.

Just got wave 6. Love em. Hoping they can start releasing more waves per year though. Availability is the success of this line. Just need other store exclusives to be sold online at creations now. I can see this line going 200+ figures deep (about 50 waves) over the next 10 years (at 5 waves per year). But at this pace we will all be dead when just halfway through the wwf greats. They should be able to knock out 6 waves (3 in spring and 3 in fall) per year. There is minimal accessories/soft goods)

On a few recent podcasts, Steve said the demand is not there for more (he even said it's not 100% yet this line will continue in 2026 -- but he is hoping). They are hoping the Bloodline set can help bring in new customers...

While this line has become something I have honestly lost pretty much all interest in.
It is so awesome to read how happy everyone has been with the last few set who got them, that is what collecting is all about at the end of the day 🙂

They are hoping the Bloodline set can help bring in new customers... Demand is there but not at 60$ a set The price should be lowered then. The market adapts when the prices are too high. On ebay previous sets are selling almost at cost. This indicates that resellers are not buying at retail price and instead waiting for black friday to buy them at 2 for 1. If they sold them at 40$ they would sell out. Mattel is enjoying the peak but they could lose customers of they get greedy. They have already raised prices for several other lines and it resulted in pegwarmers galore. Mattel seems to forget that wrestling figure collectors are not buying graded figures en masse. The majority of us are middle class and buying for nostalgia and not for investment purposes. There are a few exceptions but those prices will drop like a rock on the aftermarket once they get reissued (demolition/akeem/etc) So yeah seems there is a disconnect. If this line fails it would be 100% mattels fault.

I have bought all sets, but I still am in disbelief at some of the choices made since bringing it back on creations. Stuff like Nikolai, the Harts not being 1990-91, never getting a long tights Macho King, heel Jake, DX Shawn… some of this has been befuddling.
Then again, I loved the orange set and it seemed like no one else did. I find it strange they are making the Bloodline with the series not promised in 2026. I would love more current guys, if kept super elite. Who wouldnt want Cody / Punk / Drew / Final Boss…
Anyways. Whatever keeps the line alive is good with me. I am really happy we are getting Liz and Sherri.

I think the price point at $60 is amazing. Honestly, you could argue that if the price was slightly higher and the quality better, that might increase sales.
Besides that, I agree with Brad that figure selection (Nikolai, crappy Bret Hart, series 1 being Wrestlemania 1 instead of Hasbro-era) is the biggest thing that hurt interest in the line.

Besides that, I agree with Brad that figure selection (Nikolai, crappy Bret Hart, series 1 being Wrestlemania 1 instead of Hasbro-era) is the biggest thing that hurt interest in the line. i get where you are coming from as individual figures from competitors (hasstel, etc) are much higher but for a billion dollar company who can order in bulk the risk is low and profits are guaranteed even if they dont sell out. The prices should be relative however. We dont know production numbers but it is safe to assume that they are making 10,000 sets for each wave (this guess based on aftermarket sales and having done similar numbercrunching for the superstars lines) but likely higher. I think 3000-5000 would be the sweet spot Quality doesnt increase sales however which is why the colliseum collection figures at 70$ are not selling out either. The right price increases sales. Obviously it is not 60$. If you think they will move faster at a higher price than i can guarantee 2025 will be the last year. They should be 40$ a set. The packaging (box) can be scrapped and just adds to the price. But if included than 50$ tops. This is the whole reason action figure sales are way down in recent years due to the price increases. This is happenimg across all stores and affecting hasbro as well. At some point people say no. This is also mainly a walmart issue at retail (target is cheaper) Only other solution is they make them limited edition and announce the amount made. Then i would agree with you that a higher price with quantities limited to 5000 would help them sell. They most likely dont have that option however (as the limited print run is probably much higher) or it would have happened already for specific figures. If nothing changes than next year will see the last sets as has been prewarned. They have nothing to lose to at least try to sell them seperately. Even at 15$ a piece they might move more of certain wrestlers. All i know is that mattel has platea'd in revenue in recent years even seing declining trends which has trickled down to a smaller workforce. Compared to hasbro (which is in freefall) they are ok but never changing policy and sticking with practices that dont work (these retros not selling out) would be foolish since this line has better chances of surviving. This simply due to the sheer number of off-brand competitors (with even higher pricepoints) who are able to sell out due to limited production numbers, ( = highly interesting for resellers who can easily double their money) keeping the aftermarket hot and keeping interest in these types of figures which mattel is piggybacking off of. So yeah the retros have a compound problem: - inability for customers to buy single figures (until at least black friday sales, 2.99 for mr.t last year) - price point that could be lowered to 40-50$ for the set (10-12$ a figure if there was an option to buy without the box. (Aftermarket prices of the boxes are 10$) - higher quality + higher price point ++++ limited distribution (5000? 3000?) Edit: in 2021 the motuwwe figures were selling for 15.99$. Those figures included several accessories. They are the same figures as the superstars (same height too - basically twice as large and customizable). So again 10-12$ for the retro figures (half the size without any accessories and without the chance to customize them ) is reasonable.

😂😂😂 If that was the case, the line wouldn’t be in danger of not making it to 2026.

😂😂😂 If that was the case, the line wouldn’t be in danger of not making it to 2026. They are just not selling enough units at the current pricepoint. Selling them individually will help them move faster
