It’s a really excellent interview and they cover a ton of Retro stuff from the early days up through 2026. No new figures were announced but Steve did mention that there have been so many ideas or things planned that they just haven’t gotten to release yet…but made it sound like the things we have all been asking for are almost inevitable. Ideas of wanting to do a WCW set or an ECW set were even touched upon.
There was a ton of behind the scenes and financial aspects discussed. Obviously they weren’t getting too specific with numbers or anything but Steve touched upon things like why we don’t see more new bodies, why Brother Love is coming with the ring, how long each set has been in development, and so much more.

That’s all good to hear! Will give it a listen. Appreciate Steve and Crew keeping this line going. It might not be a huge $ maker, but it draws in older collectors that have the potential to cross over to other lines.
Before Retros I had 0 Mattel Elites, Basics or Ultimates.
Since they introduced Retros… I’m almost embarrassed to say but it’s been a bloodbath.
Ultimate completist. Practically an Elite completist as well.

Received my Retros yesterday but just opened the box today. Haven’t gone hands-on yet but I feel HBK and Alundra look better in person.

New Generation HBK and Bulldog were at the top of my list, but these figures are terrible.
If you love em, more power to you, but I could not be any more disappointed.
The Isaac Yankem though is really fun, one of the better figures from the relaunch. I really think. New Generation Bret would have been better than Alundra Blaze.

Given how difficult it seems to be for Mattel to satisfy people with Bret’s likeness, I didn’t think I would be reading that people wanted another figure of his above first time characters in this form factor. |

Did anyone get the new retros tracking from EPG? I’ve never even heard of this courier. Stuck in transit hell with no updates. Doesn’t even show a shipping label or what day it left.

How many US customers are still waiting for shipping?

Yeah I've seen him post about receiving it - crazy that he's got it that quick while I'm still waiting for my order to go out 2 weeks after ordering three sets!  Making customers feel appreciated clearly not a high priority at Mattel Creations it seems... Maybe you should found 'Chair.Shot Retro Deliveries Inc.' and make a fortune filling the gap Mattel Creations has created  |
