Everything comes back around. Good news for Blockbuster video investors haha, you’d be surprised. I’m sure somewhere a long the line, it’ll be back just in another form

They should at least make one more retro that comes with a championship belt, perhaps a numbered RSC exclusive.
If they did this so we could get a belt who would you want as the last retro?
Superstar Billy Graham seems like a obvious choice. A former champion under legends deal who never had a hasbro and gear would look great.
Make it a 1:1000, real feather boa and old school diecast belt. Gold border carding each one gets shipped in MOC protector. $24.99 limit 1 per customer.
Would you buy?

There are two title spots, so we would need two belts. 1.) Classic winged eagle - Hulk Hogan 2.) WWE Heaveyweight (current) - McIntyre / Reigns

I would buy to support the cause/line, but Billy Graham is before my time, so I'd prefer someone from the era of Hasbros. That said, there probably isn't a wrestler/legend more deserving. And I'd definitely go for gold border card and a die-cast title.

I was reluctant to see Ringside exclusive Retros during the run of the line since here in the UK I would be hit with very high shipping rates and ridiculous custom import charges, but if there is no alternative then I’m all-in on Ringside exclusive Retros. If Ringside announced tomorrow that they were making the Retros an exclusive line then I’d be ordering 2, 3 or 4 sets to import over here and to hell with the extra costs of living outside the US. If they did a final Retro as you suggest then yes I’d be up for that - whomever it is TBH; it’s the style of figure I’m interested so one last one in that style would be mine regardless. Four of them probably would be in fact. As for who that last figure would be? I’d buy Billy Graham, in the same way I would buy Bruno Sammartino, or Don Muraco, or Buddy Rodgers, etc., but like Eric said above, Graham was before my time, so would not be my first choice, though I respect his place in history. Diesel was the obvious choice for this, but now that we have him then it would need to be someone else, although a WWF champion Big Daddy Cool Diesel with a new head and moulding on his top would always be awesome. If we’re looking just at guys who held the Winged-Eagle, then I’d think: -Ultimate Warrior from WrestleMania 6 -Macho Man from WrestleMania 8 -Bret Hart from WrestleMania 9 -Shawn Michaels from WrestleMania 12 -The Undertaker from his ‘97 Buried Alive title run - SummerSlam that year for example But since we got the Winged-Eagle during the Hasbro days, I’d argue that the IC title might actually be the one to include in the final release. Then you could do: -Ricky Steamboat from WrestleMania 3 -Roddy Piper in ring gear -Honky in ring gear -Rick Rude in one of the looks of his current Elite -British Bulldog from SummerSlam 92 -Shawn Michaels from Survivor Series 92 (that gear was the reverse of the white and red the Hasbro had; give him the punch action here to pay homage to the prototype without repeating directly the white and red that we got in his Hasbro) -Shawn Michaels from WrestleMania 9 (like the Elite Mattel revealed last week, though IIRC the IC title he had that day was with a white strap - very cool, but this final figure should really have the black strap); or if the black strap isn't required: -Ultimate Warrior with the IC title strap that the Elite guys keep asking for (blue I think?), just to screw with them And if you’re going for the tag titles to fill the two belt-holders on the ring: The Hart Foundation. No debate, just simply has to be The Hart Foundation. SummerSlam ‘90 probably best, but no debate about it - the tag titles would have to come with The Hart Foundation

I know he seems to be unavailable to them right now, but an early 90s Sting would probably be my #1 choice. Or Hollywood Hogan, although that’s an easy custom to make with the Hasbro Hogan figures.

Retros were asked about in the Ringside SDCC Q&A: For some reason (probably a problem with my device), the embedded video doesn’t show video or play sound for me. But the auto-generated subtitles work, so I got the answer that way. A lot of um and uh in there.

Works on two of my devices though, anyone else have the same issue?

Nothing here.
What was the question and even more important, what was the answer?

Alternatively then go to the Comic-Con thread at the top of the forum and skip to 27:30 (-ish) on the Q&A video. Not really worth it, but since we're here

The dude says Retros didn’t work out towards the end “for a variety of reasons”, however he did say they have new avenues available to them now where Retros could be brought to you if it can be executed properly. He is aware of the #wewantRetros trend and is an advocate.

Just to add a tiny bit to @kmangio excellent summary: Steve referred to Mattel Creations as a new avenue in an earlier answer on another subject before making that similar reference in his Retros answer. Doesn't have to mean anything of course; not necessarily connected.
Whilst he didn't have anything to say really at this time, I do appreciate an acknowledgement of the line on the first anniversary of the line ending.

I'm very happy with the Retros we've gotten: Rock, Austin, Mankind, and Diesel in particular. If the line never continues, I'll be forever grateful for those.
I'm hoping for a non-jumper crow Sting, Vader, Hall & Nash, Hart Foundation, Harlem Heat, WCW The Giant (Big Show), Hollywood Hogan, and of course an Attitude Era Big Boss Man among literally dozens of others.

Loose Cannon Pillman, Hollywood Hogan, The Fiend, Vader, The Giant from WCW... still so many crazy and great ideas that could move volume for the nostalgia crowd.

Quick update about what’s been happening here in the UK: Just before the weekend there appeared reports on social media that series 9 and 10 had been found in the high street/mall stores of The Entertainer toy store. They seem to be the second biggest toy store here after Smyths (someone might correct me if I’m forgetting another chain), and they seem at least recently to be buying cheap discount products from Mattel, e.g. they have tonnes of the Entrance Greats Kurt Angle, Miss Elizabeth in green, the Retrofest Honky, etc. The Entertainer website had all the figures from the last two series listed on there except Diesel (yes, even JYD) and priced at £6, reduced from £12 (they were never sold at £12). But they were all sold-out. So I registered to be notified when they had stock in. Over the weekend lots more folks were finding them in store. Lots of photos of both 9 and 10 being found. I visited one of my local stores yesterday but they had none, and when I spoke to staff there then they looked them up and said they weren’t due to receive any (I think... the masks make it a little difficult to understand ) This morning I received in stock emails from the website for figures from both waves. When I clicked on them all of series 10 had sold-out (and Diesel had been added), and the remaining in stock series 9 figures had had the prices raised to £12. I visited my nearest store today but only found a single empty peg for Retros marked at £6. The website now has all the eight guys listed as sold-out, but now the price for them is listed at £15 (more than even series 3 cost originally at Smyths after Mattel added the stand and raised the price). So in a matter of days the prices have gone from £6 to £12 and then to £15. Also the listings have limited orders to one per customer next time they do get more in stock. And by remarkable coincidence, eBay is now being flooded with series 9 and 10 figures by sellers in the UK...

Went into my 2 local entertainers and they had nothing. I asked in the 2nd one, was told they got one box in which all sold out on that day. And that the first 4 customers on the morning of the day I went in all had asked for them. He also said he wasn’t expecting any more in. And now more scumbag flippers marking up prices on eBay; the more I see/am around toy collecting circles the frustrated I get.

Man, that's a bummer. I hope you guys end up finding them. Maybe that's a good sign for our chances here in the States. I'm still hoping one of the discount stores will get series 10. I saw that Junkyard is listed for $100 on eBay these days. I love JYD and Retros, but I can't justify that price tag.

Seems rather like the new £15 price is the limit for these at The Entertainer - only Samoa Joe and Randy Orton remain in stock now at that price, Goldust has recently sold-out. Some folks on social media have reported contacting people at The Entertainer asking if they’re getting more stock, etc., it sounds like they’ve been overwhelmed by the popularity of the line, which shouldn’t be any surprise to us here but clearly has been to them. Raising the price twice whilst also limiting orders so quickly certainly suggests they had no idea of what they were unleashing on themselves I saw a tweet from an account advising Americans that it costs around $100 to import a full series from the Entertainer, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve had a lot of US orders as well to fulfil, which I’m guessing won’t be the norm for them. I suspect American customers will enjoy the novelty of dealing with a high-street retailer who actually manages to fulfil its online orders without endless unexplained BS They’ll probably be on at Mattel to get them more stock of the last two series on this evidence, though who knows how much Mattel have left to ship-out. But I think it’s clear how this is all going to play-out from here: -The Entertainer successfully sell all the remaining Retros Mattel have left, but the demand has been so great that they as a business push Mattel for more. Much more in fact. -This leads to The Entertainer commissioning new waves of Retros as exclusives to them, making them UK exclusives at £15 each which guys like hulkjoegan and I enthusiastically buy-up along with the eBay scalpers from stores as international customers (not just from the US) put in online orders for effectively $25 each delivered. -This passionate support for the Retros makes the line the most successful in history, causing the value of The Entertainer to sky-rocket and the Retros to rightly be celebrated as the amazing line they are and always could’ve been. -Action Figure Attack is awarded an honourary knighthood for his work in the success of the Retros single-handedly saving the UK economy from the mess that the inevitable no-deal Brexit at the end of the year will cause, making him a national hero. -I get the Retro Jerry Lawler figure I’ve been longing for since 1993... ...or alternatively The Entertainer will sell-out of their last stock of Joe and Orton and the Retros will once again be forgotten. Time will tell...
