Most have already been listed but there’s also this: The only RA-style hHh Triple H we get and the torso/head are from his 2005-2007 look and his logo is upside down. Taker is too short and could’ve done with different hair colour too.

One of the most annoying ones: Perfect body shape for a 92 era Tatanka with the red hair, and the blue kneepads. Then they inflated him and gave him black kneepads Agreed 100%. When Tatanka came back in 2006 much heavier, that bigger torso made sense for his updated figure. However, it didn't look good at all on his first release. This was a common trend from Jakks (especially once they started mailing it in towards the end of their contract) where they would show an excellent prototype image, but the final version would be altered drastically and look nowhere near as good. The tall managers always irked me. Figures like Bobby Heenan and Paul Bear were pretty damn good, but looked horrible on display towering over the actual wrestlers they managed. Speaking of Paul Bearer, Series 9 of Classic Superstars was loaded with issues all throughout. They gave Bearer that hideous cloth shirt which was just ugly as all hell. There was also the issue of the mismatched Road Warriors. Kamala was a figure that was heavily anticipated, but the final release was a mess. He had wristbands and leg wraps that he never wore. The worst thing was the slutty little miniskirt they gave him. I also remember The Godfather being in that series and for such a colorful character they put out the absolute laziest version of him possible. Akeem was the highlight from that wave along with Bam Bam, but even with him the inaccurate black wrist tape made no sense. As a pretty serious collector of the line, that was the series that kind of cooled me off. After the initial growing pains of the first couple series, I felt like Jakks hit its stride from CS3 through CS8 where most of the figures were homeruns The RA Tatanka from his 2006 run is one of the best figures Jakks ever made as far as I'm concerned. Series 9 had a lot of issues but I think overall Akeem was too fat, and the best ones were Flair with that nice robe and Papa Shango. Kamala was one of the worst figures I ever laid my eyes on lol. They made 3 versions of Animal from LOD 2000 and never fixed his hair... That was the first wave that released new after I started collecting too.

Davey Boy with braids in the British Bulldogs 2-pack is pretty awful.

Did anyone mention the Too Cool 2 pack? Scotty 2 Hotty & Grandmaster Sexay had some of the most eye catching, colourful and downright weird attires ever in there run in 2000 era. I remember the TTL 3 packs with Rikishi back in the day, and they were brilliant. The Black and White attire set is still one of the best Jakks ever put out imo.
What did we get in the Classic line? A Scotty in jeans and a grandmaster in a tank top. Terrible.

I remember being stoked for Tatanka then being like “WTF!” That proto body was perfect for a Classic Tatanka. The knee pads weren’t as bad as switching the body for me. I felt like they couldn’t decide if they wanted to do Tatanka 92 or Tatanka 05 lol. I still can’t get over that fact that he’s got the proto body on the packaging. Like they thought no one would really notice 😂 Has anyone brought up Shockmaster? I know they could copy the Stormtrooper helmet because of copyright but that sculpt was LAZY! They literally just threw a blob over his head. There was absolutely no effort put into it. I see someone else mentioned Godfather. I was also disappointed with him. The jacket was awesome! But I liked his more colorful attires. We still need a Godfather with an airbrushed vest.

The messy aspects of Series 9 kind of clouded my memory. You are absolutely correct, Flair and Shango were also in that wave and both were very well-done aside from the painted feather fiasco. That robe for Flair was one of the better robes we ever got from Jakks in my opinion. Looking back at that Akeem figure now, he definitely was too big which brings up another gripe I had with Jakks during that period. They constantly reused that enormous Yokozuna buck and more times than not it didn't look good. Guys like Earthquake, Bundy, Rikishi and Akeem were definitely super heavyweights, but their figures suffered as none of them in real life were THAT big. All four needed a body that was scaled down a bit, but Jakks took the lazy route and milked that Yokozuna mold until their dying days.

The Kamala skirt also was bad in general. I took it off to put on a Kamala custom and once it was off in rolled up so tiny it could almost be used as a waste belt on a toy and you couldn't unravel it.

Then they inflated him and gave him black kneepads Sorry if I’m mistaken, but is that a completely different head scan on the final product? That’s pretty bad if it is. I know the headsculpt for the RA one was made to look older obviously. But the proto, it looks completely different.

Jakks made Tatanka a bloated toad. Mattel made him the next coming of Rick Rude.
And classy accessory, Jakks. You don't want to spend the coin molding a new tomahawk so let's just give him a bow and arrow because "Native American." I really enjoyed the Classic Superstars line, but damn was Jakks lazy.

I gave both my RA and CS Tatanka's the Chief Jay head dresses and it improved both figures 1000x. I also stitched two of the RA loinclothes together to give him the same front and back (as the back on the original was just a piece of plain black cloth) and gave him some extra tassels. It's one of my all time favorite figures. But I'm a big Tatanka fan One of the most annoying ones: Perfect body shape for a 92 era Tatanka with the red hair, and the blue kneepads. I say it’s the same as well just paint looking different from the proto. The proto face’s paint does look a lot better!

I never owned any CS figures. I'd have to go with scale. Jakks had no concept of scale

If I can be petty for a moment...HUGE botch was making those LJNs 😂 The entire style was terrible
Another petty botch, making that subpar CS27 Sherri instead of the triple pack Sherri with Michaels and El Matador

I know it wasn't a Classic Series line, but seeing Conway and Grenier get made with TTL arms was very off putting, when I waited so long to get an up to date version of La Resistance as well as the first and only Grenier figure.
But as for CS figures.... everything that people said so far is pretty spot on.
Sycho Sid not coming with kneepads always bothered me too.
Or when they made NWA Road Warrior Hawk and LOD 2000 Animal in the same line.... because yes, those two gimmicks go together to make a team *sigh*

I also thought the Stan Lane figure never looked quite right....I don’t know if it was the face sculpt or the missing 5 o’clock shadow but it never really looked like him to me....Bobby Eaton however was pretty much spot on
