Why? Because this the most exciting pro wrestling has been in the past decade and we actually have an alternative that is going to be accessible to almost everyone? I don’t understand why you would be annoyed unless you absolutely love the WWE right now, which is almost impossible because people can hardly stomach it. So what if he does? He's allowed to make his own mind up. He’s allowed to have that opinion. But don’t be mad that people are excited that there’s an a alternative, because the majority thinks/knows the product that WWE is putting out is awful.

Odd, I don't recall him saying he was mad about there being an alternative. Can you pinpoint the exact moment he said that? Believe it or not, some people can actually watch & enjoy all the wrestling companies without wanting it to be an us vs them mentality. Especially when you consider how childish some people are making this already.

He’s mad about all the WWE vs. AEW talk and frankly I am too. People have been declaring AEW as their savior before Double or Nothing even had a date.

But either way he doesn’t like the AEW vs WWE talk, it’s obvious. I never said he shouldn’t like WWE, but people can’t help but be excited about the prospect of real competition. Don’t understand your take. You can like anything you want, but to be confused with the “Us vs them” mentality and people wanting something different while being frustrated with a product that has crapped in all of our faces for years and years.....boy oh boy you’re the minority. People acting childish? Buddy that’s pro wrestling for you or any fanbase in general, don’t know why you’re acting so surprised.

I find this whole thing laughable with people thinking AEW is going to be any different. At the end of the day they (the wrestlers) are still employees who will have to go out and do what their boss is paying them to do and that is entertaining the crowd. For anyone to think it’s going to be any different in regards to backstage politics is crazy. And the whole comments about win/loss meaning something is a joke, because at the end of the day the champions will still be who ownership wants carrying the titles. The “Top Guys” will also be the guys the owner wants in the forefront. And of course once they go weekly shows any talent with the slightest bit of ego will start complaining about their spot and how they aren’t getting what they feel they deserve.
And god forbid the ones being pushed are not who the fans want because they’ll start complaining how the wrestlers are being forced down their throats as AEW’s versions of Cena & Roman. The only difference will be is them not being PG. It will be nice to have options once they go weekly.
Now that said I don’t think Ambrose going to AEW will be the big splash people are hoping for. And I can hear it already if I’m correct where everyone will be blaming the WWE for ruining him rather than blaming him for his failures.

The crazy, rose colored glasses AEW super fans who think they can do no wrong are crazy. But whats crazier, is the AEW haters who are saying that "once they go weekly, itll be like this, once this happens itll be just like wwe, and once this guy does this thing then that guys gonna do that thing".
Its bad on both sides.
But one thing i can say is that fans of BTE and the Elite like myself are enjoying this to the fullest.
No one knows what the weekly shows going to be like or how egos will be kept in check. Why not sit back and let it unfold instead of belittling each other on differing opinions of what MIGHT happen.

All the booking decisions at the end of the day are going to go through him. They won’t have to be approved by a man who’s been out of touch for the last decade. Just because you see what’s happening in WWE, doesn’t mean every company is like that. There will always be backstage politics but that’s just the way any job is. I believe they won’t be as bad as WWE though where nobody has creative freedoms, any storyline a wrestler pitches just goes in one ear and out the other, etc.

Ambrose was too good for the WWE No, he really wasn't. He was overrated from day one. You only have to look at that ridiculous thread we had going on here, before he'd even appeared on WWE television. Going back to those pre-WWE Moxley promos, he'll always come off as a poor man's Punk, to me. I can't speak for the rabid "AEW vs WWF" hardcore fans who want to put either company out of business. But from a purely business perspective - competition is a good thing. WCW was able to compete on par with WWF because it had the billionaire funding behind it. Realistically that's the only way a wrestling company can compete with the global juggernaut that is the WWE machine. AEW has a billionaire investor, they have the potential to draw top names, and they have a x-factor in the sense that Cody/Dustin have Dusty's DNA and we all know how ahead of his time Dusty was in innovating wrestling. Do I want AWE to drive WWE out of business? Not at all, but when one company betters their storyline, ups their production, and invests in their talent - it speaks in ratings and network contracts - and that's when everyone takes notice. I think competition is great for business. The worse thing that ever happened to the WWF/E product was buying out WCW. We've been complaining about how they are phoning it in since then. We bitch and complain about what Vince wants us to like/not like and we swear off the product, but ultimately we're glued to the TV by the next WrestleMania. Now AEW gives us a viable option to up both products. Like Triple S said, the best talent is still in the 'E. I'm sure Vince and Hunter are quaking in their boots, at a promotion that boasts a 'Luchasaurus', a 'Jungle Boy', a double amputee, what appears to be a transvestite, a bloke who covers himself with baby oil, a bootleg Bayley - who is ugly enough to make the real Bayley look like Mandy Rose, in comparison... A Japanese woman, cosplaying as '86, Magic tour, Freddie Mercury, Christopher Daniels, Kazarian, an over-the-hill, Jericho, a talent largely unknown outside Japan, in Omega, a load of WWE rejects - including Cody himself - and of course the two biggest self-marks in the history of pro-wrestling, the Young Shmucks. Also, Cody might have his father's DNA... pity he hasn't got his (nor his brother's) charisma, personality or appeal. If he did, he wouldn't have had to leave and start his own company - oops, I mean find a billionaire, sugar-daddy, to start a company for him. And yeah that Brandi woman has really landed on her feet. As for Vince humiliating Renee, in retaliation... she's doing a fine job of that herself, with her "commentary". Wow. Pathetic. Just let it go. Like Triple S said 🤣. Lordy. I'm a fan of both and am excited about AEW and not so excited about WWE but I want to see both thrive. Idiots on both sides (why are there even sides anyway ffs?) are inevitable. People get excited and their support goes overboard and WWE stalwarts get defensive and certain posters (no guesses) always have to have their say (on everything). Its just laughable. Enjoy the ride and enjoy both shows. WWE sucks? Watch AEW and vice versa. Options are good.

Like I said above they will have the same issues with talent not being happy with their spots. There’s no avoiding it because it’s human nature. But at the end of the day it’s more options for watching so it should be a good thing for the fans.

It’s silly once you’ve gone through puberty, but it was a big part of being a kid. In my childhood it was Nintendo vs Sega, and WWF vs WCW. And it’s important to remember that WWE and my generation of fans have spent the last two decades praising the Monday Night Wars era so much that younger fans think wrestling has to be Us vs Them in a big promotion TV war.

But there's a difference in being excited and pouncing on people who don't want to get caught up in this supposed war.
