I want to listen to the whole thing, but I've read enough quotes to form an opinion. I gotta give Moxley respect for sticking it out despite hating coming to work, left when he fulfilled his commitments, and then moved on. I understand how he feels, with being depressed. I think a lot of us could relate. I'm happy he went to AEW and that he's happy where he's at in life. I read on social media how Ambrose was unhappy we all condemned WWE, but when Sasha complained, we all called her bitter. Difference is Ambrose didnt go on social media or backstage throwing fits, and being unprofessional. He went out, did his job, then left when it was time to go. He did in a professional manner whether it killed him mentally. Anyways, I can't wait to see Moxley vs Joey Janela. Hopefully we see Moxley vs Jimmy Havoc in the future

Moxley comparing himself leaving the WWE to the end of Harry and the Hendersons was gold. I was cracking up for a while but it’s a great analogy. I’m glad he’s happy now and hope he succeeds in his future adventures. It’s a shame that the WWE completely killed Punk’s passion for the business but atleast Moxley still cares about this and the product he produces for us. I feel had there been an AEW 5 years ago, Punk would have gone as well. I am happy for Moxley, I'll agree with that

If it happens, AEW has a bit of star power that they'd need to tie WWEs ratings.

Gotta give respect for Ambrose for fulfilling his contract and not complaining about it or quitting like most people would, it takes a lot of patience and suffering to be able to do what he did. Glad he's happy being at AEW and being able to be free and wrestle.

Everyone craps on Vince. BUT HHH should get some of the blame as well. if he would tell Vince no none of this would happen. You don’t honestly think H telling Vince no would change anything? There have been multiple reports that Triple H is the most frustrated guy backstage every week cause Vince just does what he wants without knowing a thing about the Nxt guys or his audience.

I think Moxley is going to gain "CM Punk" like internet hype. If Moxley trained Muay Thai for 6 months, he would fare better in MMA than CM Punk did. It would be hard to do worse.

Listened to the podcast. If you listen to that podcast and still don’t respect Ambrose/see his point of view then something is wrong with you. Yes there are 2 sides to every story but we’ve seen this story with enough other former talent to safely say the underlying points made are valid.

Great interview. It was awesome to hear how before his comeback last summer he worked on his wrestling to take out the wacky rope stuff and make it more hard-hitting. I remember at the time there were people complaining that WWE did it to try to make him less wacky. From the podcast it’s clear that WWE did not want him less wacky lol. Hopefully he brings that improved style to AEW, he had come on a lot as a wrestler in his last run.

The podcast was great and will be remembered like the CM Punk Art of Wrestling episode. Moxley basically confirmed what we've been hearing which is that Vince has lost it, he so out of touch and that creative is writing for an audience of 1. You wonder why people like the Revival are counting down the days until their contracts are up.

I can’t cope with this thread or anymore AEW vs WWE bullturd talk. Why? Because this the most exciting pro wrestling has been in the past decade and we actually have an alternative that is going to be accessible to almost everyone? I don’t understand why you would be annoyed unless you absolutely love the WWE right now, which is almost impossible because people can hardly stomach it.

I listened to most of it and while I think he's truthful in a lot of things I do think he over exaggerates some stuff to put over the move to AEW even more. Its oddly convenient that "fans" that have no clue what goes on behind the scenes have been saying "example A, Example B has been happening" and now someone randomly comes out and says "oh yea that was really happening". Almost like they are saying "hey you guys are right, now come watch our show"...I mean how convenient would that be...hmmmm

Regardless of how anybody feels about Ambrose or AEW, you have to respect him for changing a situation he was unhappy in. How many people bitch about their jobs but don’t take risks to better their situation? What makes it even better is that he did not bitch about it. Unlike the Revival, Sasha, Harper, and others, Dean performed without complaining. Went in, did the job he was asked, and left. He didn't whine like Jericho about putting others over. He didn't pitch fits. He behaved professionally and allowed his contract to expire. Eh they all have good reasons for complaining.

Ambrose was too good for the WWE No, he really wasn't. He was overrated from day one. You only have to look at that ridiculous thread we had going on here, before he'd even appeared on WWE television. Going back to those pre-WWE Moxley promos, he'll always come off as a poor man's Punk, to me. I agree 100%. The only thing i can think of as to why there's this "AEW vs WWE, us vs them" mentality is cause a lot of the fans with this mentality missed out on the Monday Night Wars, and they want to live those years, so they think with AEW, they could live out what they missed out of from 95 to 01. I'm not saying its right, but its the only thing i could think of other than super marks wanting to belong to something. I missed out on the years where WCW was beating WWF, but i was able to watch the final year of the war in 2000, so i sorta got to live the Monday Night Wars. I just wish for a great product from both companies. I wish AEW nothing but success (even though Cody and Brandi are egomaniacal douchebags), and I wish WWE nothing but success as well (even though i wish Vince would step down). I can't speak for the rabid "AEW vs WWF" hardcore fans who want to put either company out of business. But from a purely business perspective - competition is a good thing. WCW was able to compete on par with WWF because it had the billionaire funding behind it. Realistically that's the only way a wrestling company can compete with the global juggernaut that is the WWE machine. AEW has a billionaire investor, they have the potential to draw top names, and they have a x-factor in the sense that Cody/Dustin have Dusty's DNA and we all know how ahead of his time Dusty was in innovating wrestling. Do I want AWE to drive WWE out of business? Not at all, but when one company betters their storyline, ups their production, and invests in their talent - it speaks in ratings and network contracts - and that's when everyone takes notice. I think competition is great for business. The worse thing that ever happened to the WWF/E product was buying out WCW. We've been complaining about how they are phoning it in since then. We bitch and complain about what Vince wants us to like/not like and we swear off the product, but ultimately we're glued to the TV by the next WrestleMania. Now AEW gives us a viable option to up both products. Like Triple S said, the best talent is still in the 'E. I'm sure Vince and Hunter are quaking in their boots, at a promotion that boasts a 'Luchasaurus', a 'Jungle Boy', a double amputee, what appears to be a transvestite, a bloke who covers himself with baby oil, a bootleg Bayley - who is ugly enough to make the real Bayley look like Mandy Rose, in comparison... A Japanese woman, cosplaying as '86, Magic tour, Freddie Mercury, Christopher Daniels, Kazarian, an over-the-hill, Jericho, a talent largely unknown outside Japan, in Omega, a load of WWE rejects - including Cody himself - and of course the two biggest self-marks in the history of pro-wrestling, the Young Shmucks. Also, Cody might have his father's DNA... pity he hasn't got his (nor his brother's) charisma, personality or appeal. If he did, he wouldn't have had to leave and start his own company - oops, I mean find a billionaire, sugar-daddy, to start a company for him. And yeah that Brandi woman has really landed on her feet. As for Vince humiliating Renee, in retaliation... she's doing a fine job of that herself, with her "commentary".

My post was about the benefits of competition, not about AEW > WWE or otherwise.
