I remember someone tweeting "WWE is in trouble, Jon Moxley is in AEW, WWE is in f***ing trouble". Lol, im hating this WWE vs AEW talk. Just enjoy both promotions. I want AEW to succeed as much as I want WWE to succeed. exactly. people are going to be goofy af on both ends, ESPECIALLY on Twitter. take the marks out of both sides of the equation, and you just an excitng exciting moment in wrestling, no matter what happens or if a war shakes down. After seeing Double or Nothing, I will admit i was wrong on almost everything I've said about AEW, except for one thing, which i also could be wrong cause its still too early, and thats AEW will not be competition for WWE. I dont ever see WWE leaving that #1 spot, but AEW has done a good job showing that they can be an option to wrestle and make decent money without having to wrestle indies every day. I will say i saw a thread online on how TNA started, comparing it to how AEW started, and the similarities are so much alike, but AEW has the better chance at a good outcome. If i were both companies, just ignore each other. Cody should just shut the f*** up and focus on AEW instead of taking digs at WWE, cause i feel once you piss WWE off enough, they'll wake a sleeping giant and WWE will do everything to make AEW look like the "piss ant company " that they think they are. Just focus on your own promotion, and everything will work out in the end.

I think I’ll choose my third option, which is to call you on being condescending and ignorant when you choose to be. have whatever opinions you wish, learn to not be a dick. I’m by no means the first on the forum to call you out for being one. this is all pretty funny when the guy who couldn’t handle a tna board mod spot ‘cause the pressure’ tries to pull the tough guy role. The pressure? No, the product sucked and members like you (especially sodaguy) continually cried that I criticized the product. “Why are you a mod if you don’t like TNA?” Maybe do some research instead of making stupid assumptions. Thanks. Hahaha lol yeah, nothing to do with your absolute toxicity. the board was far better when you left, maybe you could do the forum a favour. exactly. people are going to be goofy af on both ends, ESPECIALLY on Twitter. take the marks out of both sides of the equation, and you just an excitng exciting moment in wrestling, no matter what happens or if a war shakes down. I think people are overreacting on both ends of the spectrum. No, AEW is not gonna put WWE out of business - they are far too big of a juggernaut for that to happen. If anyone puts WWE out of business, it will be Vince, if he continues to run it into the ground to the point that their ratings become so abysmal that their billion dollar TV deals are put into jeopardy. Which honestly doesn't seem as big of a stretch as it used to.
But comparing AEW to TNA is also foolish. AEW is already on far better financial footing than TNA ever was, and have a far better TV deal than TNA ever had. TNT is covering a larger portion of their production costs, and the Khans are much less stingy than Panda Energy was with Impact, because they actually want to be involved with the wrestling business, and aren't satisfying the whims of a ditzy daughter that got sweet talked by Jeff Jarrett. As long as they focus on putting on a great alternative product, and can maintain a decent amount of eyes, there's zero reason why they can't cement themselves as the uncontested #2 promotion for years.
And signing Moxley is not going to put WWE out of business. But him signing with them now is basically the closest modern equivalent you can get to Luger or Hall & Nash appearing on Nitro. And unlike when Angle or Hardy jumped to TNA, it wasn't because he had no choice. He could have stayed with WWE and likely remained floating around the top of the card for the rest of his career. He is a huge name in the prime of his career. Regardless of whether you like him or not, he adds a huge amount of credibility to the promotion.
People just need to chill out and let things unfold.

To be fair, HHH started it at the HoF. Actually I disagree with you. I feel Cody started it with all the digs of "Oh, wins and losses will matter, we'll offer insurance, etc at everything WWE doesn't do". I wouldn't have acknowledged AEW if i were HHH, but HHH could also be as petty as Cody, if not more. But those are AEW's large points of difference. You have to explain why your company will be different from others out there. You might interpret them as digs, but they are necessary to explain why fans will care about the new product.

Mentioning WWE makes them look petty. WWE already looks petty as it is

Taking shots at Bayley, Hunter, etc. comes off very petty and isn’t going to garner them any additional viewers or recognition. It was a move done to get a reaction from the crowd. Who were full of The Elite marks. The same ones that eat up anything those guys do. So of course it was gonna get a pop. I kinda hope Hunter takes a few slight digs at AEW tonight and/or tomorrow. Just for my entertainment. If he doesn’t, I’ll understand. Haha

Right now, just let each other be. No mentions from either one

I saw highlights and thought it was cool. His timing with the Dirty Deeds to Jericho was executed poorly, but besides that, I thought he seemed reinvigorated. As whether or not it was the right move... time will tell. Things may change once the weekly shows are booked and TNT gets involved. However I don't think that this is the "End of WWE" or "WWE will humiliate Renee on live TV" like others online have said. That's dumb. Don't be dumb. I remember someone tweeting "WWE is in trouble, Jon Moxley is in AEW, WWE is in f***ing trouble". Lol, im hating this WWE vs AEW talk. Just enjoy both promotions. I want AEW to succeed as much as I want WWE to succeed. Yeah, it's really bad at the moment. I heard that Miz & Maryse revealed their baby's gender and the comments were filled with AEW fans insulting them. I've seen an article from a "news" site quoting Meltzer because he assumes Vince in "ungodly furious" about WWE talent tweeting support to their friends. He even talked about how WWE may try to punish Renee or Natalya. He doesn't know that. He's guessing, but yet people are running with it as fact to make WWE the big bad wolf. It's annoying, but if I say anything I'll get lambasted, so **** it.

Long before Triple H’s HOF speech.

You have to give some point of reference as WWE is the only show in town for at least the past 10 years since TNA moved to a much smaller station.

I'm going to say now what I said months ago when AEW was announced....why does it have to be AEW vs. WWE? Why does everyone want or think the purpose of AEW should be to try and put WWE out of business? I just don't understand this mind set. Why can't AEW just be another wrestling company that people can choose to watch or not watch based upon their own personal enjoyment of the product? Again, what is the point? All we've been reading online for months is "AEW is going to be better because Vince stole all the wrestlers from the other companies and put everyone else out of business"....and then AEW fans proceed to tell us how AEW is going to steal all of WWE's wrestlers and put WWE out of business. lol The more companies that exist, the better it is for the fans and the better it is for the WRESTLERS. It's good to have options. Back in the day I used to watch WWF, ECW and WCW....and as a FAN, it sucked when WCW and ECW went out of business. Less options. Never saw a lot of my favorite stars again. AEW and WWE don't need to be "at war", but AEW fans really seem to want that for some reason. I don't hear ANY WWE fans sitting over here going "man I hope AEW falls flat on its ass and fails and goes out of business". So maybe everyone can just calm the down?

There were many WWE fans wishing TNA would go out of business. Im not talking about 2015-current when they got kicked off Spike TV and all the wrestlers started leaving. Im talking 2009-2014.

I think by 2009 we had given TNA a long enough chance. It wasn't new anymore. At that point it became evident that TNA had some awesome stars that were just flat out wasting their time in TNA and I think the majority of the fans just wanted TNA to go away so we could get some of these stars onto the big stage before it was too late. And at that point TNA was becoming more and more of a landing spot for WWF and WCW wash outs and it became less and less about the ORIGINAL talent TNA built at the beginning. When Ric Flair is wresting matches and Mick Foley is the world Champion and we are starting a period of time that would lead to AJ Styles being forced out of the company.....it wasn't good product.
