Just a heads up. My son wanted a retro Kofi so I ordered him one. Received it today and the bubble is taped down on the card. The same way star wars black series/ marvel legends 3.75s were. I am waiting on an xtra Bray Wyatt on another order. Hopefully not all of the restock of 5 and 6 is like this. It's very noticeable.

I reordered both retro sets, guess I'll see shortly. Not going to be happy if mine show up like that for the higher prices.

Note for Retro Series 5 and 6 our new shipment came directly from Mattel and the bubble does have some tape around it on every figure. This was something that Mattel's factory did beyond our control. We apologize if you are not happy with this. If you would like, we would be more than happy to setup a return for you with a pre-paid return label. Just e-mail cs@ringsidecollectibles.net for assistance.
From what I've seen the packaging looks good on the figures I've looked at from the shipment other than having the pieces of tape around the bubble.

Nice to hear ringside is paying the return shipping on these. I ordered 4 NWO machos hoping I'd get one of the variants but even if I did tape on the card is a deal breaker. Those are worth no more than the cost of a loose open figure. I'm sure ringside isnt happy about this as mattel really stuck it to them on that one as those are gonna be coming back to them in waves I'd bet.

They are ALL like this. RC confirmed this. I ordered 2 sets of series 5 and 6 and they are all like that. I returned them all.

They are ALL like this. I was unfortunate that I ordered both sets of series 5 and 6 and they all came taped up looking like crap. I carefully removed the tape and adhesive from one just to see if it was possible and it looks even worse! The tape mark is there forever no matter what you do.
What is wrong with Mattel?? Did they run out of glue? It is Mattel's fault, however, Ringside Collectibles should NOT be selling these at full price, if at all. They belong in the "Damaged Packaging" category because, let's face it, these packages are absolutely damaged!
I will be returning both sets and RC will be paying for my shipping labels. This is unacceptable and Ringside Collectibles just lost a really good customer. I was ordering from them $50+ every week, sometimes twice a week, sometimes in excess of $150. And if I ever order from them again, all i know is I have lost all respect for them and will not reccomend them to anyone anymore.
We are collectors who spend a lot of money. We certainly don't deserve this!

I believe all of the Macho Man's are the variant this time. I know mine was. The person who attatched a photo on here had one, too. Pretty sure thats all of them. |

Hmmm, I had a response from ringside collectibles customer service stating that I was responsible for the return shipping. Thank you. I'm looking forward for the prepaid return label. I got that response, too. It would be discriminating if they offered it to one person and not to the rest of us. Im going to hold them to that. At least i got free shipping after spending $150 so i wont lose any money. Good luck. |

Very bad move on their part. I have lost a huge chunk of respect for this company and every bit of the respect i had for Mattel. It may be Mattel's fault, but it was on RC to fix the problem and you didnt. Thats like an ebay seller telling me it's taped up because you sent it to them that way. It's still their fault and their problem for not telling me about it to begin with. I can only imagine how many returns you guys have on your hands. You have my sympathy, but Mattel should be the ones paying the price. I hope someone said something to them. It's very irresponsible for a toy company of their magnitude to do such a thing. What did they run out of glue or something?? I'd love to hear what their excuse was. |

Everyone might be overreacting a bit. Let's wait and see if the back order of series 9 is like this and series 10. Maybe they are going forward with this from now on. No one including RSC knows at this point.

Well I'm def not paying 25 for Savage if they are all beat up lol Yup, it's all of them. I ordered 8 figures from series 5 and 6 and every last one is taped up and looks like crap. I tried carefully removing the tape and adhesive from one and it looks even worse. The tape mark is there permanently and non-removeable no matter what you try. I carefully used a very small amount of Goo Gone (the best there is) to remove the excess adhesive after pulling off the tape. What was left over was a flat, pale looking mark all around the bubble that's on there forever. Might as well either return them or open them, but either way their MINT and even NEAR MINT value is gone. |
