To be fair, yes ... S7 has said nothing. I got the email from RSC. However, to be fair, the only thing I've heard from Masked Republic or whoever I pre-ordered from was the email saying I pre-ordered. I don't follow them on social so I have no clue as to if I'm still getting them when they originally claimed. Not telling you top stop hating on S7 ... but it's not like MR is sending me emails. BC they're not. "I don't follow them on social media" isn't an excuse for being uninformed regarding these when there's been updates posted (a lot of them by me) in this thread that come from either videos or tweets or IG posts from Masked Republic and Boss Fight directly. They're keeping people informed, your choice to not pay attention to the places they actually post updates is on you, not them. Boss Fight have continually kept people updated. Super7's last email about New Japan wave 1 was basically a recital of the press release from a year ago. There's a big ing difference in communication.

If they post something not related to the lucha figures and someone comments "When am I getting my Penta figure??" they reply to the comment. All I ever hear from Super 7 is about The Major Bros figures it seems. It's sad, really, because it feels like the NJPW line is an afterthought to Super 7, if they even think of it at all, and it could have easily become one of the greatest lines of action figures out there. I gladly pre-ordered the first series because whether they are of comparable size with Mattel or not, just have someone like Okada in action figure form in such a way is a big deal to me. With the second wave announced, I'm in and don't care about the price or how long it takes to get them to me. But the way that Super 7 has been handling it makes it seem like they don't care which means there might not be a third series which means we might not get to see characters I really want like ZSJ and hell I'd even pay the extra money for a really good KENTA figure. I just hope once the first wave is ready to ship and that really kind of starts the line going then Super 7 becomes more active with it all.

I just hope once the first wave is ready to ship and that really kind of starts the line going then Super 7 becomes more active with it all. While it in no way justifies the radio silence, the line IS an afterthought for Super 7. They have much larger/more prominent licensed properties. And while it seemed like they were making an effort at first to have a rep on the board and engage with the community, that went away pretty fast. NJPW is just another horse in their stable. Again, doesn't justify the terrible communications, but it is what it is. The Lucha line is obviously a huge part of Boss Fight's growth and development as a company. Just hearing them talk, you can tell it's a passion project, and something that they see as a big part of their company. Maybe it's just me, but I'm way more inclined to support and be a fan of a line like that where you can tell people are giving it their all, even when things don't go as planned. The two companies are in very different stages of their lifecycle, and the respective licenses obviously are in very different places in their internal priority list.

I read this board daily. A company that sells a product shouldn't update their customers through IG/Twitter or some dude on a wrestling board by proxy. They should send emails. Neither S7 or them have. Only RSC did that.

More people are going to see their posts on Twitter or IG than an email that might get caught by their spam filters or tucked into the "promotions" folder where it'll almost certainly get deleted.

That makes sense for people 15-30. Do you know how many millions and millions of people don't use IG or Twitter? Jesus. Adults rely on email. Maybe in 20 years your line of thinking makes sense. But hell, unless they have a TikTok account, kids these days aren't going to see any updates either, lol.

Most people get their "news" from whatever is trending on social media, but it shouldn't be the go-to platform to deliver updates on the line, where many eyes other than already-committed customers will see them and be used as advertising as much as them being production updates?
Didn't even address the email sorting either. Lost count how many times updates on shipping got filed in whatever folder and took me scrolling thru to find pertinent info on my orders.

They're announcing more names that have signed on with Masked Repbulic tomorrow during Expo Lucha on Twitch, that should be around 1:30 PM Eastern. Boss Fight Reveals are around 4:25 PM Eastern. It's gonna be on their Twitch page and apparently also YouTube and Facebook.

Ultimo Dragon and Great Sasuke were announced as having signed with Masked Republic so they'll probably show up in the line at some point.

Just a reminder, they didn’t confirm them for the line yet today, but they do have them signed and both are a no brainer for the line at some point.
Boss Fight reveals are in a little over an hour. Can't wait!
