The Aftermath:
And Part 5 comes to an end. Sting wins the WCW Championship and the nWo is disbanded. In this timeline the nWo becomes a faction of different factions, where new leaders make claim to it and create their own version of it.
The Outsiders stay on as a tag team combination. Lex Luger goes his separate ways. Bret Hart gets some respect for his match with Sting and "Ted Turner" offers him the deal he wants and becomes a full-time performer for WCW. Bret recaptures the WCW World Heavyweight Title a second in 1998 when he becomes a babyface and ends Goldberg's streak clean. Bret leaves after Owen's accident and returns to the WWF in 1999.
Essentially WCW focuses on wrestling instead of the nWo, perhaps giving it some longevity as an alternative to WWF instead of trying to win the ratings war.
END OF PART 5

6. Sting joins WWF in 1991
In a shoot interview Sting had revealed that he almost left WCW for WWF during the early 90s. The timeframe is hard to say exactly when but it had to be between 1990-1992 when Jim Herd was Executive VP of WCW. In this diary, after negotiations go sour over money, instead of Sid Vicious, Sting gets a big money offer from Vince McMahon to make his debut in the WWF starting in 1991. Unlike Sid, Vince found Sting to be very passionate of the business and history was made...

WWF Prime Time Wrestling July 1st, 1991 Hosts: Sean Mooney and Bobby HeenanSean: What a great way to celebrate Independence day this week as I bring out our next guest who represents all that is great in the USA. For the last few weeks you've seen vignettes about him, but now he is finally here in the World Wrestling Federation. They call him the Man of the 90s, let's all welcome Sting! (audience applauses and cheers) Sting walks in. Heenan: Let me be the first to welcome you to the WWF Sting (has his hand out and Sting doesn't respond) Sting: It's great to be here. You know you've all seen me in the front cover of magazines and heard about me, you've probably seen me in stadiums and airports as I travelled the world winning trophies, tournaments and world class championships from Japan to the good old USA, where I call home. But for those who haven't met me before, let me tell you why they call me the "Man of the 90s". You can talk about Hulk Hogan, but I can tell you I have the power of a Hulk Hogan, (flexes his biceps) I can tell you this ain't chopped liver (crowd cheers), you can talk about the Ultimate Warrior, Whooo! I can tell you I've got the speed and intensity of the Ultimate Warrior! You can talk about Sgt. Slaughter and I can be just as nasty as him, you can talk about Mr. Perfect and I know I'm better than him (Heenan shakes his head), I've got the technical skills of a Bret Hart, the roar of a Jim Duggan and you can talk about the Undertaker and know that the mystique of Sting is what will make you want to see more... Heenan: Now don't get cocky there kid, I know all about you but I can make you an offer if you would hire me as your manager... Sting: I got no beef with you Brain, but I don't need managers and I sure as heck don't need you (crowd cheers). But you do have a point Bobby, for all you know I might be all talk, but know this when you see me in the ring, you'll know...you'll definitely know why they call me the Man of the 90s. WWF Superstars of Wrestling July 20th, 1991 Hosts: Vince McMahon, Roddy Piper, and Randy SavageSting def. jobber via pinfall. Debut match in the WWF was a quick squash where Sting was able to go for a Stinger splash, a huge powerslam and a crossbody from the top for the pinfall win at 2:32. Mean Gene gets in the ring for an interview. Gene: I want to talk about the newest addition to the World Wrestling Federation here, you've seen the vignettes and heard from him, and wow that was no doubt intense (the match), but I have to say that I believe he truly is what they call him, the Man of the 90s. He's won World Championships, tournaments, and is a mega star in Japan, Sting I have to personaly welcome you to the WWF... Sting: It's great to be here in the WWF Gene, you've all heard the stories, you all know who I am and Woooo! You know where I've been and who I've beaten. But I'm here in the WWF because I want to make a challenge to a certain Hulk Hogan, that's right, Hogan you and I we've got a lot in common, but you've been at the top of the mountain for far too long, and I'm here like an avalanche ready to bring it all down crashin... Suddenly Sgt. Slaughter, Col. Mustafa and Gen. Adnan walk out.
Gene: What is going on here... Slaughter: I got to say something, I know all about you Sting, I've seen you wrestle the all time greats, you've been in the ring with the best, but after hearing how you want to pounce on that good for nothing Hulk Hogan, well I salute you (all three salute Sting to heat). We want to welcome you Sting to our corps, and know as you join, we'll take you places you've never gone before. Sting: First of all I don't appreciate a turncoat like yourself to interrupt me, and second of all take down that (Iraqi) flag it doesn't belong here in America (gets cheers from fans). It would be a cold day in hell for the Stinger to ever join the likes of you (Col. Mustafa gets behind Sting)... Slaughter: That is too bad because you would've made a great addition... Suddenly Col Mustafa strikes Sting in the back, Gen. Adnan joins and Slaughter laughs. Sting fights back! Sting rams Mustafa on the turnbuckle, he tosses Gen. Adnan to the outside, Slaughter is on the offensive landing several punches and whips Sting for the corner, but Sting reverses it and lands a Stinger Splash! Slaughter rolls on out squeezing his chest in pain and leaves with the Col and Gen, talking trash. Vince talks about how humiliating it must be for Sgt. Slaughter and Piper says they got what they deserved. Savage said he likes Sting already. Big Boss Man vs. Louie Spicolli

Prime Time Wrestling August 5th, 1991 Hosts: Sean Mooney and Bobby Heenan
Another vignette is shown for Sting who is working out in the gym. Sean: Well speaking of SummerSlam which is to be held on August 26th at Madison Square Garden, we have shocking news about the Ultimate Warrior, take it away Lord Alfred Hayes... Lord Alfred Hayes doing an emergency SummerSlam Report: "In such a shocking fashion, during an exciting match between the Ultimate Warrior and the Undertaker at the Rosemont Horizon recently, Sgt. Slaughter came out and like a Pearl Harbour, viciously attacked the Warrior. Although footage has not been made available of this special show, Sgt. Slaughter and the Undertaker severely injured the Ultimate Warrior and he was placed in a bodybag. The Warrior has been missing ever since and WWF Officials have been investigating the possibility that the Ultimate Warrior will not be there at SummerSlam and it looks like Hulk Hogan will have to find another tag team partner in the mean time. We will keep you updated later tonight about SummerSlam."Sean: I cannot believe this folks, the Ultimate Warrior is missing thanks to Sgt. Slaughter and the Undertaker who severely injured him. What do you think this means and who would Hulk Hogan pick as a tag team partner? Heenan: It means that Hulk Hogan is in trouble, after all the weeks of preparing for the Match Made in Hell, he is in trouble. As for who his tag team partner could be? Well Sean Mooney it's going to be hard to find one because face it who really likes Hulk Hogan? Sean: I think most behind us like Hulk Hogan, and hopefully we will get a word with the Hulkster soon. Hulk: I know all about you Sting brother, but I have to ask if you're out here to challenge me... Sting: No I'm not challenging you...yet, I'm challenging you to take me on as your tag team partner.
