The latest iteration of the brand extension has pretty much been a failure since shortly after it started. It's a complete and total farce now with the dual-brand PPV events and now the Wild Card Rule. It's finally time to put an end to a brand to this joke of a brand extension.
WWE can't make this work for a very simple reason. WWE has no incentive to compete with itself and have two separate brands competing for superiority. The broadcasting partners don't want to give up on big stars, so now you have them appearing on both shows.
The brand extension eroded the first time after a matter of years. This time, it eroded even quicker. It's already dead. Now, it's just time to make it official.

How many times are we going to have this thread?
Fox demanded that the brand split stays, and if Fox is going to give you a billion dollars, you're going to listen to their demands.
Just let it go.

I agree with you. When the roster is better than ever, they feature the same wrestlers on each show. Before long it'll be like the early 2010's when you only saw 10 wrestlers on Raw and SD.

Brands are dumb and unnecessary.
For the love of God, just plan and write.

I've gone cold turkey on all WWE since around a month ago now. I've honestly not missed it at all.
Vince has become so reactionary in his old age and it's crippled the product. When he had vision and planned ahead the shows were can't-miss, now they're can't-watch.

Weren't there like 8 guys cross brand last night? To be honest, I'm kind of not sure who is on what brand anymore. Pretty sure Ziggler was a Raw talent and they just had him show up on Smackdown so he could challenge Kofi, and then they just switched him. I really don't care, honestly. WWE is obviously working harder to get more guys on the show. We may not like how they use guys like STANG or EC3, but they're getting on TV. Same with what they did with Naomi and Natty. You can tell WWE is actively trying to make changes to what they've been doing, and I'll take some progress over no progress.
I think they'll stick to an A and B squad and the tops guys will just be on both shows come October (or exactly how it's working now). The brand split still makes sense for live events and touring. So I think it sticks. That's a business thing more than a creative thing. When the shows are Monday and Friday I think it will feel less over saturated. Seeing everyone on back-to-back nights makes them feel redundant most weeks.

Keep the split, unify the World, Womens and Tag Team titles... and have champions appear on both shows.
The only issue would probably be either FOX or USA complaining about the underusage of Roman Reigns.

I just wish Roman would appear on NXT and 205 Live.

SD Live was badass that first year or so after the split

If Fox and USA want big names on each show ending the split would be the best idea.

There's way too much talent for one show. Here's my theory:
Smackdown: Cruiserweight division Intercontinental Championship WWE Tag Team Championships WWE Championship Chrsitian and Edge are made the general managers - have Daniel Bryan, Roman Reigns, Kofi Kingston, Kevin Owens, Finn Balor, Ali, Andrade, and Randy Orton as the cornerstones of Smackdown
- have Bryan feud with Chad Gable
- Have Reigns feud with Orton
- turn Kevin Owens face vs heel Aleister Black - Kofi vs Andrade for the WWE Title
- Shelton Benjamin vs Finn Balor for the Intercontinental Championship
- Buddy Murphy feuds with Ali on the main roster (best of 7, winner receives a WWE Championship match) - Rebuild Shinsuke Nakamura - Make a new "Smackdown 6" for the WWE Tag Team Championships: Bryan/Rowan vs Woods/Big E vs Ali/Murphy (after they're done feuding) - Give Jeff Hardy one more WWE Title run
Raw: World Heavyweight Championship United States Championship World Tag team Championships Unify the Women's World Title and have it exclusive to Raw Women are exclusive to Raw Women's Tag Team Championships are exclusive to Raw "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is named the Raw general manager - Repackage Braun Strowman - no more part-timers as champions - Push Bray Wyatt to the moon - Make Bobby Lashley a destroyer - Turn Drew McIntyre face (he was quite underrated in NXT, and I think him being a heel has ran its course) - Turn Seth Rollins heel - Rollins/Cesaro for the Universal Championship - Styles/ Ricochet in a feud - Joe/McIntyre for the US Title - Usos/ Viking Raiders for the Raw Tag Team Titles - have Seth Rollins, AJ Styles, Cesaro, Rey Mysterio, Ricochet, Sami Zayn, The Miz, and Samoa Joe

There are about 50 things they need to get under control, before worrying about the brand split or wild cards.

Smackdown after the split was killer right up until someone decided to throw the strap on Jinder, then it became pretty awful to watch.
They really have no one to blame but themselves. After a while you insult the fans long enough by pushing an 8 month long title reign on Jinder, giving Brock the other main title for a year and a half and defending it about 6 times, burying Nakamura, stop and start main event pushes for McIntyre and Strowman, relying too heavily on guys like Cena, Trips and Taker, refusing to give up on the Roman push even though he's fizzled out, the random callup usage of main event NXT stars that are shut down in about a month from debut (Dillinger, Nakamura, War Raiders, Ricochet, EC3, Roode, Black, Sanity) etc... they stop giving a crap.
I haven't watched a full episode of Raw or Smackdown since late 2018, and I don't find myself missing it.

Yeah ever since the first "shake-up" SmackDown always got the short end of the stick, relying on the mid-lower tier talent after Cena left to make movies full-time and Ambrose/Miz moved to Raw. Now SDL is made up of midcarder from 10 years ago Kofi, Ziggler, and a bunch of failed NXT wrestlers... Yeah WWE is amazing right now.
