Ok forgive me, I am painfully aware that Elites have a MAJOR distribution issue, especially of late. Since the demise of TRU, my local Walmarts and Targets have been a joke. There are basically no elites on the shelves ever. Occasionally, Target will be hit or miss (mostly miss) but I will find a restock every now and again I actually just found Ultimates Ronda today and Warrior last night. This however came after this particular target hadn't seen a restock since Wrestlemania. My Walmart hasn't had an elite on the shelf in 13 weeks. Maybe it's just me, but I think it's CRAZY that a Walmart can have a WWE section with literally 3 basics on the pegs for 13 weeks in a row. I know I have read that other people have this issue, so this isn't a woe is me post. I am really just wondering if anyone can shed light as to WHY this happens and nobody seems to do anything about it? I know Bill said the point of the Top Picks line is to make sure the most popular stars are on the shelves every time someone goes to the store to get them....but like …. THEY DONT EVEN HAVE THOSE. Did the days of retail fig hunting die with Toys R Us ? Is it just my area? I don't think it is, because I know wrestling figs, and wrestling in general is extremely popular by me. Heck, it's CT WWE's home state! So realistically, I would like ot know if anyone knows why this happens, and at the same time, are there any places that DON'T have this problem? Does anyone find figures easily and consistently?
Thanks guys.....

Its not just you. Ever since TRU shut down, many Targets Ive been to have 0-2 Basics on the peg but the Elites sell out quick during the rare times they do stock them. A few weeks ago, one Target I went to had Elite 53 on the shelf.

I agree on the distribution problem. It's bad

I'm incredibly confused about this. I thought that it was due to stores doing seasonal resets, and judging by Wal-Marts getting in E68 that might be the case, but it doesn't seem to fully explain everything we're seeing. I'm also wondering if the evergreen lines, the Top Talent stuff, are hampering Elite distribution since they seem to be stocked together and Top Talent clog up shelves heavily.

Well targets have been restocking around here with E66 for a couple months now. It could be your targets inventory is off? Maybe someone hid or stole figures that makes your store still show at least 3 figures in their system. The Target distribution center won’t send more until a store’s inventory is under 3 pieces. Have an employee check his scanner for what the inventory is if it says they have them and should be on the floor ask him to manually correct it in their system. I have a couple employees who will do that at my stores. WalMarts problem was the SKU for Elites was makes as discontinued in their system around WM. So they stores couldn’t order it from their ware house until they were issued a new SKU which was part of the reset they have been doing the last week or so. It wouldn’t Mattel they have their own DPCI at Target and SKU at WalMart. And the Distribution Center automatically send new product when those inventory numbers reach a certain level. So even if the Top Picks were clogging your area stores the warehouse would still send core Elites once that inventory number hit a certain number. One has nothing to do with the other.

This has been a problem since late May(?). My nearby Walmart’s stopped on E64 or E65 before the shelves went empty for months. Then late last month they stocked only 1 or 2 cases of E68. Go to nearest Walmart’s they’re empty or have 1 E68 figure.
Target stocked E66 then went empty for months & then stocked what was left of E66 in the back or whatever. No E67 or E68 at Target. Go now & EG Goldberg is warming even with the price cut & whatever few figure(s) are warming from E66.

There’s not been a new figure in the stores near me in Brisbane in about 4-5 months. I’ve slowed way down between that and the pre order prices at rsc going up quite a bit this year.

One of the biggest flaws I notice is the stores get one case at a time so it makes it hard to get a lot of the figures unless you are there when they go out on the floor. Years ago the stores would be full every series. Another problem is they almost always pack two of the worst selling figure from the series which backs things up. The stores should stop relying on computers to do the ordering and going long amounts of time with no product on the floor. The employees go down these aisles several times a day so they should see nothing is coming in and should order more. Elite 65 never showed up at any Walmart around here so the Walmart exclusive Sherri never showed up. So they must have to sell her somewhere since Walmart didn’t get her.

Oww have mercy! Hopefully things get better soon. I've only seen 67 at Walgreens out of state.

This is on Mattel or retail or whomever but it’s a business that can’t connect the dots and they haven’t gotten much of my money in the past few years. I got Shamrock and Ronda. I mean, I can tap out right now and be happy. I WANT to give them more. I wanted a Harley Race and Ricky Steamboat. I’d buy a King Mabel if I could find one. Pretty sure I’ll be out of the Don Muraco sweepstakes, too. It’s okay. I’ll still wake up tomorrow. Only it’ll be with a little more distance from a hobby I once loved.

The resets are just about done and I’m pretty sure target is doing a big reset soon too.
Be happy stores aren’t getting flooding with this series, because you’d all be bitching about it clogging shelves and being the reason we don’t get the next series.
From what I understand, top picks are not shipped the same as the main like. Stores will get both, not one or the other..just like the summerslam or wrestlmania series.
I’ve seen remnants of 68 around CT, which shows that it’s being stocked and it’s selling well.
I say this in every thread about this stuff, but Mattel are not holding back product. Once it’s in the stores hands, it’s their duty to distribute.

That sounds much more rational than 'I can't get Pat Patterson because Bill is sweaty and keeps all the Mattel WWE Elite Collection action figures by Mattel for himself'. Maybe it'll finally make the rounds and start to resonate with people." Then WF has to go and WF.

Well in my area most but not all Walmarts have done their reset, stocked their 1 case of E68, that 1 case of E68 has sold out and we are back to 0 elites on the shelf. It's funny when you think about it now the ONLY thing available at ANY of my local Walmarts are a Summerslam Basic Razor Ramon, Miz, and maybe a Bret Hart. My local Target got Ultimate Edition 1 and atleast are keeping the pegs full with Top Talent and E66 and a handful of Basics I can't remember what series. Atleast Target has made the effort to keep the aisle stocked. I hate the fact Walmart has the rights to the Legends in the series which is my main focus. After combing 2 very large counties in South Florida to get a Pat Patterson I'm afraid I'll be doing the same for Gerald Brisco and Gorilla Monsoon in the future.

When they had last years, they also had the current main line series...so yes, they get both. Bill explained this before

They are gonna be more challenging to find but at the same time they want them able to be found.
