Nah. He's going to say something else stupid that he thinks is a really good counterpoint, but is still wildly off base, throw in another lame insult to try and save a little face, and to get in the last word. I'll let him. I've no interest in a pissing match with someone clearly ill-equipped. He's wrong, I know he's wrong, he thinks he's right, but he's not even remotely close. And I can only laugh because I know that. So, he can say whatever he wants. I'll not be responding, but I'll keep talking about these sure to be awesome toys, if anyone wants to continue THAT conversation. You’re a new poster here. It’s not uncommon for someone to come on here spouting bs. I also don’t know what you keep saying I’m wrong about. You’re losing your mind over someone question you. You have no validity to what you’re saying, just that you bothered people on Twitter and “know a guy” So please continue to lose your crap

FWIW, M.A.S.K. and Stretch Armstrong originally came to be under Kenner prior to the Hasbro buyout in '91. Transformers was a Japanese property repackaged for US consumption by Hasbro. The only one of the given examples that really stands as a new and untested entity is G.I. Joe, and even then, I feel like that line in the 60s doesn't necessarily pair well when trying to assess the risk/reward of an entertainment entity yet to have anything in the way of a proven television track record. Pretty weird that Cody, The Bucks, and Tony Khan wouldn't just make with the goods to some rando on Twitter asking for an exclusive. Doesn't seem like them, but I don't know, good luck. That's what you gather from all of this? I see that they let just anyone be a mod here. No education or common sense required. Cool. And gee, could I have simply been asking as a fan-- "Hey guys, are you making plans for toys?", and not asking for the exclusive reveal? THIS. This is the dumbest thing said here thus far. L A W L "Thanks for your interest in the highly lucrative message board moderator post. Let's talk about your pursuits in academia, to start."

Living where I do, I’ve made friends with several people in the industry myself. They work for hasbro, this why I said it wouldn’t be them. Oh, so you asked them to verify this? Cool. A simple text of “Would your job release toys from a niche wrestling show that isn’t had major network exposure yet?”

What part of "not a huge presence, but have a proven track record" eluded you? Regardless, I'm happy with my 1041 subscribers, thank you. We all have to start somewhere, so you're really not hurting my feelings. Regardless... Check the date that that thread was posted, genius. Now check when Hasbro made the official announcement of Ghostbusters. Almost three month difference. I was the one that broke the news on Storm Collectibles doing Injustice. I broke news on the DC Collectibles Batman TMNT line. I broke the news that the DC Films line was cancelled. I broke the news on the Marvel Legends MCU 10th Anniversary line. I broke the news on the final lineup of the DC Collectibles Batman Animated Series line. I broke the news that Diamond Select was doing Pirates of the Caribbean Selects before that line was canned. The number of views I receive doesn't change the fact that I know what the F I'm talking about. But you know some warehouse workers for Hasbro. So you know more than me. Okay.

Well, that escalated quickly. To me nothing the OP has said seems like a wild claim or totally irrational. How good is his info? Time will tell. But it's not crazy that there could be a toy line in the works, and that there could be interest among significant toy manufacturers. Any deal is possible if the numbers make sense and/or there is an incentive to deal.
AEW has good reason to cut a favorable deal. At this stage in their growth merch has as much value as free advertising as it does as a revenue stream. Don't underestimate the value of having thousands of kids walk past your toy in stores as a means to build an audience. And I don't think it's crazy that major or mid-major toy companies could have some interest in an untested property, again if the price is right. The toy market is shrinking, and media properties continue to become more and more consolidated. Everything is so sequel and franchise driven - and those licenses either don't make it to market, or cost an arm and a leg.
It's not every day that a kid and collector friendly toy property with major tv distribution, a (presumably) cheap license, and no prior entanglements comes on the market. I can totally see a company rolling the dice in hopes of this thing getting big.
But I think it's a safe bet *something* is in the works. I'm more interested in the who/when/what scale.

You hit the nail on the head, and put what I was trying to convey more eloquently. Nothing is a guaranteed seller. Most licenses that receive toys are "unproven properties". So, in that regard, everything is throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks. I mean, Hasbro just out out a Boom Boom in their Marvel Legends line. If you're asking "Who's Boom Boom?"--exactly.

I'm excited for these figures! I don't care which company makes them, how long it takes to make them, or how much they cost, I'm planning to support them. Crossing my fingers they scale well with Mattel Elites.
I see new posts and come to this thread to see if there's any new information, and I find fighting and name calling. So sad.
Thanks to the O.P. for all the information. I appreciate it and I hope this thread doesn't get locked. I'd like to get more information, however long it takes.

You know what they say about rolling around with pigs in mud. I allowed myself to be dragged down to their level. So, I apologize to everyone other than those two for that. I like to get along with most. I'm frankly flabbergasted that a MOD would be one of the two to add in the snark, and pick a fight. Ah well. I digress. Back to the toys. Aside from that--LOTS to be excited about! These are going to be really cool figures! I mean, come on. A Luchasaurus figure?? What times we live in!

I'm curious what the merch situation is for some of the talent. Obviously they're using a lot of talent on pay per appearance deals or who are shared with other companies. I'm sure we'll have Elite figures up to our eyeballs. But I think Jungleboy, Luchasaurus, Daniels, and Awesome Kong would all be amazing figures.
Not sure if it's possible from a licensing perspective, but I'd give a non-essential organ for throwback figures of Earl Hebner, The Natural Dustin Rhodes, or Tony Schiavone if there's any way they can pull them off. Anybody recall what the legal situation was with the TNA Legends line? Were they still associated with the NWA at that point?

Funny enough, there was actually just recently an interview with Cody where he discussed the learning curve of his role of EVP, and how he almost missed the window to sign a lot of talent to merch deals.

They weren't NWA-TNA at that point, but jakks was allowed to make attires seen in NWA like venice beach sting, Jeff Jarrett in trunks and Steiner brothers Scott that was never released
