it's mainly because he twitter beefed with Will Ospreay and looked embarrassing trying to defend WWE's honor, when he had multiple attempts at salvaging the convo, he thought: "F it" and started comparing salaries during the end of it, as a pseudo moot point to win the squabble, but it ultimately came off as being the corporate clown. Not to mention the juxtaposition of claiming days later that Twitter and other social media a cesspool of negativity (it depends on the person, but that's not the point) is highly suspicious considering that he got horribly mad that people aren't liking WWE's crappy product (I mean, AEW and CMLL definitely come to mind) a TL;DR version:
In other words, he's a Corporate Yes Man? it's not the fact that he is a corporate yes man, it's that he has the maturity of a small child in regards to any sort of disagreement, Roman Reigns had this issue before but he wised up and ignores them for the most part, even when John Cena was getting hit with every claim under the sun much more harder and more often, he purely ignored them, Seth's issue was that the comments that were lobbied at WWE really got to him (which lets be honest, Smackdown and Raw for the last couple of weeks have been pretty meek) and tried to be the "locker-room general" (which is in of itself, pretty cringy) even referring Will Ospreay as a "little guy" (which is funny since they're both 6′ 1″) and in general, being a passive-aggressive a-hole because someone told him that WWE isn't good

As others have said... FICKLE. If people were truly Rollins fans, then whatever he said on Twitter or whatever sh*t promos WWE give him wouldn't turn them against him. Rollins was always my favorite Shield member, although at the time I didn't envision him becoming the star and champion that he is. It took him a while to get going as a babyface, and sure at times it doesn't always click, but I'm just a huge Rollins fan and him being one of the top guys is what I've really wanted to happen. Couldn't have said it better. I agree with everything you wrote. I for one have been a fan of his for years. I'm elated to see him positioned as the top gut. He has what it takes, sure he needs some tweaking on the mic and they need to get the becky/rollins off of the mainscreen but, he is a workhorse and busts his @$$ day in and day out because he truly loves what he does and I think he loves where he works. I don't blame him for defending his company. Is their product always great? No way. But when any Indy darling touts their company as so great and wonderful compared to others and takes shots at WWE no one bats an eye. When roles are reversed, they are considered the ultimate villain. Just can't have it both ways. Anyone is allowed to defend their company they work for and is entitled to think it's the best. It's all opinion, but to vilify someone and not the other for the same thing is wrong. People need to get over it.

I don’t even know who people should like these days. Creative is so awful that it’s no surprise that no one is over.
Seth sending naked pics to married women probably doesn’t help his image though.

I still like him. Although I wish he would stop with all the suicide dives. But that’s not just Seth in general I wish everyone and their mother didn’t do them in every match and just left them to special moments in special matches. But back to the question that is what this generation does. They whine and complain that such and such isn’t pushed to a championship reign. But as soon as that person gets the push and title they all complain that he was forced on them and his reign was weak. Then they are on to the next wrestler and then repeat.

it's pretty rare when I disagree with punksnotdead 's assessment, and this is one of those cases. Seth is decent. He's a workhorse that's for sure. He's the "Benoit" kind of wrestler who is solid wherever you put him in the card, you're guaranteed a good 10-20 minute match. But his selling is suspect sometimes, and his mic skills are crap. I've actually never been a fan of his, even before the injury to Sting (yes, yes, not his fault blah blah). His character/gimmick completely sucks - I don't get it, I don't get the point of him - what are you burning down buddy? The establishment? the ring? the opponent? You don't even have a fireball incorporated into your gimmick! He's just not a top guy for me.

After reading these comments I have to ask, if Seth isn't cut out to be a top guy then who exactly is? He puts on great matches each week and is an absolute workhorse. He has a presence about him and has the image of a main eventer. Maybe WWE should offer guys like Taker, HHH, Cena, HBK etc full time contracts to give the main event scene star power and keep the younger guys in the mid/lower card. It doesnt matter how good you are in the ring if you have horrible mic skills.

ive been a fan of the guy since his callup. anyone from that era and earlier of ROH to me with that level of talent, i respect and want to see succeed in this business. ive been rooting for Seth to make it as a top guy ever since he got to the main roster. i love the guy's work, im fine with the way he speaks, and ive been mostly satisfied with the way he's been booked. a few bumps in the road but nothing bad enough for me to get sick of the guy.

This is honestly a fantastic question.
I always though Seth Rollins was over. But then 3 weeks ago on Raw, it seemed like no one cared about him trying to overcome and stand up against Brock after his ambulance beating. (Granted, that whole segment was beyond corny and cringy.)
Then last week on Raw, his pops got better. But AJ Styles, who is now the prickish heel that can't win without his boys, got a WAY BIGGER pop than he did. Seth is supposed to be the David who slew Goliath. Where is that adoration? Later that night, Somoa Joe got bigger pops than the Champ who just beat Lesnar.

I mean, I've hated Rollins since he ended Sting's career.

Everyone on the roster gets criticised for not being able to cut a decent promo. Also when Seth was a heel he was great on the mic.

Well to be fair, Sting was an old man who shouldn't have been wrestling in the WWE at that time.

Rollins was totally reckless, Sting may have been old but the buckle bomb is one of the most ludicrously dangerous moves I've ever seen. Sting went out on a massive low, in part because of Rollins. And I value Sting, even old man Sting far more than I ever will Rollins.

Well maybe old man Sting should have told Seth, "I can't take those new fancy moves, let me just howl at the audience, beat my chest, do a stinger splash and scorpion death drop, blowing out my back because I am 50 and shouldn't be wrestling anymore."
I was a huge Sting fan... in the 90s.
In the year 2015, Sting has no reason to be wrestling.

People act like Rollins forced him into it. It's two grown men. He wouldn't have taken the move if he wasn't okay with it. Not Rollins fault he was wrestling a 50 year old man who's body is already broken down. For all the complainers, maybe we can get sting to come back and carry the company for the next 15 years and he can put on wome solid 25 to 30 minute 5 star matchs at every ppv and wrestle solid matches at every raw and live show.

For me it's not Seth persay, but the awful booking. And that legitimately is the same answer I have for every single member of the main roster right now. There isnt a single person who is getting booked worth a damn on a consistent basis enough to make me care. He started out with a super midcard Baron Corbin (think Dolph Ziggler to Rollins' Dean Ambrose) and then transitioned into his beyond ridiculous storyline with Becky (think Ellsworth to Rollins' Ambrose). In the mean time Lesnar randomly wins the MITB in the most unnecessary win of all time and takes the title from Seth for zero reason. This leads to the rematch between the two where they had the match they should originally had at Mania to begin with. It's all just nonsense..

As of about 40 minutes ago? Because he's marrying Becky Lynch, and they're not.

Sting signing with the WWE in 2015 for merchandise, DVD and future Hall of Fame induction = Good idea Sting wrestling in the WWE in 2015 = Bad idea

Rollins is a bitch, you would never see a REAL CHAMPION like Sting troll indie wrestlers out on Twitter like he did...
