Yeah the Snuka episode was interesting for sure. Already knew lots of it...But I would like to have seen it stated how most wrestlers couldn't stand the sight of him after it & didn't want to work with him. Im pretty sure Piper had a huge problem with him...heard it several times. If he did he hid it very well. They seemed friendly at the RIngFest about 10 or so years ago that they were both guests at. It was the year the CSDA Series 1 set was released. And as for the murder it was never proved one way or the other. If he did it the PD totally botched the investigation and getting justice for Nancy. (Odd I just realized both women were named Nancy) And if he didn’t do it they totally botched that also. Either way the PD didn’t do their job very efficiently. And with the judge dismissing the charges because of his mental capacity to stand trial when it was reopened 40 years later we will never know the truth with 100% certainty. And after watching the Dark side episode the other night I came away with two things. The first being the police chief was still trying to cover his @$$ for a coverup up. Or he was the most incompetent police chief and he no idea how to run his station and his department had no idea how to run an investigation like this. The other was I didn’t find her younger sister to be very credible/believable in the way she described herself in her story about the dinner the three had together. Either way it’s a tragedy on all levels.

^ Look at his body language when he's getting interviewed. He's fidgeting, not making eye contact & seems really uncomfortable. If I was a betting man, I'd say Vince payed a few people to keep quiet & make it disappear.

I'm an episode behind but I just watched the Brawl for All episode. Something that never seems to come up is that the other three people that Bart Gunn fought went on to have their best years in wrestling but for whatever reason Dr. Deaths WWF career was seen as being over. I wonder if creative just decided to give up on Dr. Death since he was "JRs boy" and he failed in the Brawl for All.

My memory is foggy with this time period. How was he built up? Did they do promos for him before he arrived? I just remember the Brawl for All being the first thing he did. Like I can't remember him having a match before that.

That's the one by the White Castle right? Yep. It's across the highway from an apartment complex. I can't remember the name of it, though. Interesting that it's the Home Depot now, I was wondering exactly where it used to be located. I'm from Allentown, for the record. One of my best friends works for Morning Call, but he doesn't know either of the guys that were on the episode.

Dr. Death wasn't built up at all as far as I know. He had one dark match against Scorpio, which is seen on his comic images trading card, and I think that match was in April and he had no matches until BFA during summer time. I watched all shows but Shotgun and all of a sudden Dr. Death just appeared with no build. Did JR even commentate on Dr. Death's match with Pierre? I seem to recall hearing Michael Cole's voice on the youtube clip I saw. So the only guy who could even try to get him over, Jim Ross, wasn't even commentating on his first match. As for Holly, Bradshaw and Godfather, they benefitted greatly by the attitude era and the changing of what was a popular gimmick. It took longer for Bradshaw to be over than any of them. Godfather benefitted from the smut aspect of the era and Holly from the hardcore era. No denying they had talent for this era but if the Attitude Era had not happened, all three would most likely still be employed, as model employees, but with the same lack of popularity they had before.

The only thing I recall from Dr. Death was reading speculation that he was going to get a Main Event run with Austin. I think the Brawl For All was supposed to cement that but that seemed pretty risky considering it wasn't scripted.
Other than Bart's KOing people, I don't recall any other memorable wins in that tournament from anyone else. Even Dr Death wasn't convincing and hardly seemed like it was going to springboard him to working with Austin. If he had been winning decisively like Bart did, that was the only way it could've landed him a run at the top.

Looking forward to the Dino Bravo episode tomorrow night. I remember when I was 12 years old when it happened that I heard Bravo was shot like 3 times in the back as he sat in a chair watching TV. So it's gonna be neat in a weird sick twisted way to finally hear everything that happened that night when he died.

To top it off, it was such a crappy figure with the white tank top and red shorts. I am sure it was supposed to be a singlet but it didn't look it!
I also wonder what happened to all the Dr. Death figures that were on the pegs for years after it came out?? No way did people all of a sudden buy them in the year 2000 or 2001 after it was sitting out so long. I have a feeling that poor kids in another foreign country have all those BCA Dr. Death figures to play with.

His Jakks CS is expensive now though.

I think Mattel should make a Dr. Death. They could probably outdo Jakks

The Dino Bravo story was interesting! The wrestling part was like 15 minutes and the rest was about his life after wrestling. Crazy stuff!
His daughter was really pretty though. That was a bonus! Ha ha
What I got out of the documentary was...
1. Dino was the man in Montreal
2. Rick Martel knows more than he is letting on to not want to be on this documentary
3. The police are clearly paid off by the mafia to not do anything about the Bravo death

So we're all in agreement that Kevin Sullivan killed the Benoits and Martel had Bravo killed?
(kidding)
But Bart Gunn did kill Steve Williams career

These last two episodes haven't inspired much confidence in the police.

Despite his age, I'm surprised WCW didn't offer him a deal in 92.
