Another solid episode. I don't want to see a 10-man melee ending every single episode, but it's a good way to expose as many characters as possible early on. And faction vs loose alliance of guys is a good starting point for storylines, since it opens up a ton of match combos and gets a bunch of players involved in a central storyline. Agreed. If this is a regular long term thing I think it's a mistake, but I think your explanation is bang on. It's a really effective way to show you who is who, and start establishing rivalries and feuds.

Really enjoyed the show last night. Much better than last week IMO.
I wasn't too excited for the tag matches but all of them were solid and I enjoyed them thoroughly.
MJF is golden. So far they're using him right and not shoving him down our throats every second just because hes over as all hell. Excited to see how this all pans out.

First time a skateboard has been ridden down the ramp?! This gimmick would get over huge today with the popularity of skateboarding and it being an Olympic sport now

Good show but not as good as last week. Matches were a little slow but I think had more fire power. Camera angles were missed a lot and Jim Ross was off. Mjf cannot be a heel and align with a crowd favorite. Hope this becomes a turn on Cody. I watched no nxt lol

I liked this week's offering better than last. I don't know if being there played a part in that...probably did, but it was a fun, fun show nevertheless. Make sure you watch Dark on Tuesday. The eight man match wasn't really grabbing my attention, but you're gonna wanna see the unsanctioned match between Joey Janela and Kenny Omega. Yowie wowie.

Thursday mornings look to be my favourite new thing. It'll be an awesome tradition the way both shows keep up. As for last night, I thought Dynamite breezed by. It was easier to watch than last week, with a lot of pretty good wrestling. Chris Jericho's promo was pretty great. I think I'll like the Inner Circle more in a few weeks. They come off as thrown together to me right now, but a little establishment can't hurt. Hager has me intrigued, I think he and Hangman could have a pretty good brawl or two. Was not so keen on the number one contender's match, when you have PAC on commentary literally exposing how asinine the idea that Darby or Havoc is above him in the rankings. And I feel as though the women really need more building. Currently they are the weakest part of the show for me because I haven't got much reason to be invested in their characters.

I thought last night was good. That’s about it’s. Opening tag match was great. Havoc vs Darby was alright. It shared the same formula as the Darby vs Cima match. Darby gets destroyed for ten minutes, gets a lucky shot in coffin drop 1-2-3. I don’t wanna see the inner circle dominate every week either. So I hope that stops soon. Honestly Shawn Spears just isn’t anything special. I’m sorry, seems like a nice good but he is a solid hand that’s it. 2nd week in a row the women had a real rough outing. That is def the company’s weak link right now. Finally next week we get to see some guys that are the reason I tune in every week. Lucha Bros, Jurassic Express, Best Friends, maybe Janela finally!

I was really hoping MJF was going to join Inner Circle. It seems like a perfect fit for him.

Bored, and beat, so here's my view from last night looking toward the stage: and toward the ring:

Completely on point about the women. I want to be invested but Riho or however you spell her name just doesn’t cut it for me. Of all the Asian women who have began competing in the states on a larger scale the past few years, Io Shirai is the only one I find entertaining and watchable. The rest just seem like your generic cookie cutter Asian woman talent. They got to do something to stand out and have a character. I can appreciate the talent but technical wrestling talent only takes you so far if you have no character for the crowd to resonate with.

Hikaru Shida looked like an absolute star to me during her PPV match, but hasn't been seen since. Riho does absolutely nothing for me. It's not like there isn't female wrestling talent out there on the American and international indies. From what I understand Kenny and Brandi are handling the women's division, and they seem to being a pretty terrible job. I don't like the Asuka/Kairi/Paige pairing in WWE, but having some sort of manager/mouthpiece for the Japanese women would really go a long way. It reminds me of WCW's lucha cruiserweights for all the wrong reasons. They were amazing in the ring, but having zero promo opportunity or character development was a glass ceiling. It's one area where AEW could have set themselves apart and have failed.

Thought last weeks debut was really good and this weeks was even better.Had a better flow in terms of taking commercial breaks and when to do the whole picture and picture stuff.Chris Jericho had a great promo and finally after nearly a 30 year career has a stable of his own, still feel that LAX is as of this point kind of and odd fit for the group but still dig it.My prediction is that Jack Swagger will turn babyface down the road and will be the one to take the AEW Title off Jericho. If Swagger is built right could turn into the star that he never was in WWE.

It’s mean to say but one of Swagger’s problems is his voice, he can never deliver his own promo. The group dynamic works great for him.

True maybe instead you could turn Jericho babyface and have Swagger take over the stable.Whatever works but if he needs a mouth piece you could put Tully with him which would be a step up from Spears or Double A either man would work great as the manger to Swagger.

really fun episode. good matches. I thought Shawn Spears shouldn’t of had the lights out before his intro so that cody’s entrance later on could’ve been more impactful. also, security trying to separate everyone at the end would’ve helped to ensure the level of chaos they were attempting to portray.
really fun times. they’re doing proper character building and the matches tell stories. very happy with it so far.

I am really liking this AEW product. I used to hear about the Young Bucks and how they were so pompous etc., but they booked it right last night because both teams came out great!
Chris Jericho will go down as one of the most underrated all-time greats in this industry. Whenever we talk about Mt. Rushmore, we see Taker, Hogan, Flair etc. but Jericho's longevity, character innovation and promo work is legendary - he truly is the GOAT.
As many of you pointed out, the women division is the weakest link here for now. I'm not up on the indie scene...tell me why Tessa Blanchard isn't signed when her dad has a gig in Cody's fed? She's like the best female wrestler outside of the WWE right?

Tessa is still under contract in impact, I think about another year. She's their highest paid wrestler, male or female.

I honestly believe if they kicked off 6 months earlier AEW would/could have an amazing womens division. Jordynne Grace wasn't locked up in Impact, NXT UK hadn't locked up Viper, Kay Lee Ray, Jinny, and Killer Kelly to exclusive deals, and you may have had some American indie talent still available.
But I don't know how much of the roster issues are circumstance vs choice. There is/was a lot of talent available that they've passed over in favor of a predominantly Japanese division. I see the male roster as being way more in touch with audiences while the womens division seems like Kenny's pet project to bring Joshi wrestling to the states.
edit: AEW needs to back up a Brinks truck for Tessa. She has mega star potential and I REALLY don't want to see her end up as just more cannon fodder for Charlotte in WWE.
