What you think of the newly designed championship that was introduced to Nakamura?

I don't like it. Maybe I'd like it if it had some colour to it, but to me it just looks bland, and I'm not really a fan of the shape either.
There was nothing wrong with the classic Intercontinental Championship design - that design is timeless. I really don't see why they felt they had to do away with it. That was the last championship design they needed to change.

I have mixed feelings on it. I love both the classic and oval designs and the Intercontinental Championship has always generally been my favourite title. With that said, this new design is a sharp looking modern take on it in my opinion. I think my mixed feelings stem from the fact that of all the belts they could have redesigned this one seems the most unnecessary.

The new title looks sick. It'll take a bit of adjusting since it looks unlike any of the other previous designs, but I really like it. It looks like a more prestigious version of the Cruiserweight strap imo. Totally agree mate!

I’m on the same boat as some people... it doesn’t look as ugly as the main titles, but it looks like a combination of the current heavyweight, Cruiserweight and the 24/7 belt. It just looks super boring. I think all the new belts look terrible. I get that sometimes less is better, but these new belts look just like the product... bland. Either get some new belt designers or come up with some ideas to differentiate the belts. I would of had the fiend come up with his own interpretation of the what the belt is/should look...

I feel like we're regressing with belt designs. The IC definitely didn't need to be retooled anyway. But personally, i feel like belt designs are going more toward the simple aesthetic of 70s/early 80s territory designs. Since the penny/dime tag team belts became a thing, I've largely felt the belts look lack luster in general. In the case of the IC though, that classic design helped to sell the idea of its prestige, due to strong visual connotations of seeing it with guys like Savage,Warrior,Perfect,Hart,HBK etc....hopefully they leave the NXT belts alone, as those are the closest looking ones to my preference.

Here's what I don't get about the new title belts: Traditional wrestling belts were either themed or featured designs that connoted the traits of a champion. The famed "winged eagle" title, for example, featured the eagle prominently - a symbol of strength and beauty, top of the food chain - clutching the globe in its talons, showing its superiority as a conqueror. It had starburst lines coming from it showing it to be divine or godly, and featured grapplers on either side as if to say "the person who holds this trophy is a world conquering predator in the wrestling industry". The Undisputed belt did the same thing but now featured shooting stars around the globe to signify that this champion had conquered more than one world, the entire wrestling universe was now their footstool. It also incorporated the gold leaf design that covered the Big Gold belt to add a sense of regality and class to show that this was the richest prize there is. Hell, even the current tag team belts have the two gladiator helments back to back like they would be in battle because Roman armour covered everything but the back which is where the phrase "got your back" comes from, it tells the audience that the people who earned these belts are true warriors and are victorious because of their commitment to each other. Now, let me ask, what stories do the following designs tell?: The same goes for all the NXT belts and any of the 'Big W' designs. Also for all the AEW belts. They used to tell a story, now they're just... I'm not sure.

Even the custom SuperStar sideplates are essentially a chapter in the story of branding. My favorite set of Championship Title Belts are the ones from the first WWE brand extension. I refer to it as the Nameplate Era. These 8, plus the WWE Spinner, the Divas, and the WWECW (platinum) Belts are my favorites. I don't like the current set of straps, but now, with this post, I now realize why I loved the past designs so much, and why I hate the current designs so much.

I personally love it and it's time for a change. I heard that Fox wanted a new IC title made and WWE had this in their possession for a while now. Now it's time to change the Tag Team Titles.

I like the look of this new belt. I think it does need some color to make the letters or design pop.
As much as I love the older belts this is a better change than the 24/7 title or just changing the colors to red and blue like the other belts, that have the same plates.
I do like the two globes on the side and the center ring in the middle that isn't flat, but another layer on top of the belt. I def was one of those guys that complained about the new belts not being creative or original; so this is great to see.

I love the new title design and beside the NXT North American Title think its the best looking title in WWE.Glad it wasn't just another title with a big W as the center plate or something lame with a blue backing. My only issue is debuting the title in the middle of a title reign and also debuting it for Nakamura who's been a very forgettable champion.Should have wait to debut the title with whomever beat Nakamura for the the IC Title in Reigns,Bryan,Ali,Gable...ect as a sign of a new era and renewed focus on the title(even if that's just a lie)

All it needed was Blue behind the Globes and WWE logo, and jewels instead of the tiny circles around the main oval.
That alone would've made it pop more and help it stand out.
I like the design and the return of the Black strap, but it just needed that little bit of colour. It does look a little bland without it, especially when it's used on TV and the Gold reflects Black objects around it.

Not a fan. It's a nice belt but the old one was perfect.

I think it’s a decent replacement for a belt that I don’t believe needed one really. However, I’ll welcome this one but I honestly hope they add some color to it. The blue takes it to another level. Also that post about belts being themed is a reach...

Also that post about belts being themed is a reach... It's not a reach, mate. The championships are designed by artists who look for the subtext and thematic context and put that into the design just like a poet or an architect, a painter or a theatre practitioner. All the symbols on old wrestling belts were just that: symbols that led we the audience to make inferences about the person carrying it.
