If we ignore the first half of the rumble where Brock literally eliminated everyone, it was a pretty good rumble. Mcintyre was my pick to win it all too! Finally getting the push that he's long overdue.

I didn't mind Brock dominating because I figured it was all to get his WM opponent over. Might have been more impactful had Ricochet not hit the low blow first, but I'll take it.

Great royal rumble, best one in a long time. Lesnar dominating was great, Edge returning was very good too, and Reigns not winning was great. Good rumble, definitely unique.

Got me a bit surprised with that one. McIntyre deserved the Rumble, just wish his build had been more steady. A sudden face turn a few weeks ago and now going for Brock, has me a little concerned. Creative needs to handle him better than they did Seth if he is destined to be champion. A pure doofus face ain't gonna cut it.
So glad someone talked Vince out of Roman but still expecting him as the Fiend's WM opponent, especially with Reigns being in that late. Beating cancer is too much of a hook to let pass, surely.

Such a perfect Rumble match. Brock building that heat for the first half, McIntyre becoming a made man by eliminating him, the Edge return, the false finish with Roman, Drew claiming that big win. The Vin Man bringing the goods again and proving that the fans who think they can’t be worked are the easiest to work. Such good s**t.
Rest of the show was pretty forgettable, but that main event was awesome. I haven’t seen Edge wrestle live since 2005, and I’m guessing he’s gonna be on the Mania card, so I’m pretty excited for that.

Entertaining Rumble. Only complaints I have is Kofi and Braun being used as fodder for Brock. That could have easily been two more midcarders while those two got to show off alittle more later on. Or have Kofi low blow Brock.

That was probably the most exciting Rumble in years. Edge returning was probably the best Rumble “surprises” ever despite it being leaked for months and months. Glad the Roman button wasn’t pushed by Vince as I’m sure he knew that all the positive reception he’s been getting would have all went away. Drew, despite the sudden face turn, seems the most believable out of the options they had. Even though I was totally down for Keith Lee getting that opportunity.

This year's Rumble was well planned. Cole kept saying it was "the tale of two rumbles" and I can just picture Vince and his writing staff around the boardroom table plotting out this match saying that over and over.
Brock dominating the 1st half was necessary. Necessary to shut all the critics up and to put the winner over. Once Drew eliminated him I was very sure he was going to win until the very end with Roman because...well Roman. But so happy for Drew. WWE did a good job setting this up. Brock looked strong, Drew looked strong - they had a face-off at the Rumble, now it's building on that on the road to Wrestlemania.
Contrast that with the Women's Rumble. I thought it was wrestled well, but Shayna should have won for the shock value, Charlotte was predictable and boring. Becky and her for the umpteenth time now.

I’m more worried Drew will be treated like Nakamura in 2018. Both were coming off a months long loosing streak before winning the Rumble out of nowhere. Hoping Drew gets better booking than Nak did.

I’m sure Hunter and Heyman were in his ear the whole time telling him to not go with Reigns. Everything you see on TV that actually watchable is because Vince hardly has his hands in it (Raw, NXT). Why do you think Smackdown is terrible at the moment?

Difference here I think is Drew can carry a promo, Nakamura can't. That alone will help the 2-month build to their match.

What was great about the Edge return, was that even though it leaked, with the type of injury he had and so many others never returning from the type of injury, it still never seemed really plausible. This seems like a full fledged return.

ON THIS DAY!
HOLY CRAP HE IS BACK.
I haven’t marked out in a looooong time, but I screamed like a little girl when that music hit. Heard rumors months and months back but thought nothing of them. God I haven’t been that invested in a match in years. Hell yeah!
That said, my hatred of Roman Reigns has multiplied ten fold. Just had to give him the elimination. Just HAD to give that dude whose been shoved down our throats for years that elimination so I hate that dude even more. Guess they didn’t want Drew to take heat.
Outside of that, honestly my favorite Rumble match ever. I loved it. Might sound odd, but this reminded me if the Attitude Era chaos. Brock dominating was very entertaining, Shelton/Brock moment was awesome, as a TNA guy seeing Roode/Brock was awesome, Edge returning, Rated RKO, the Seth stuff was awesome, Drew, after years, finally getting that push.
This PPV has gotten me back into WWE. Only would watch for Brock so I’ve seen very limited matches this year, but I’m strapped in for the Road to Wrestlemania.

Anyone else catch Lesnar asking Heyman “who’s this motherf**ker?” when Keith Lee entered? I started dying laughing.
That Rumble was incredible, I needed something to take my mind off the tragedy today and this helped so much. McIntyre gets his moment!

Also, I want to see Edge get one more run with the belt. Could create some Old Man Logan/Edge story. What perfect way to bring back Big Gold, the World Heavyweight Championship, than with the man that has the most WWE reigns with it.

I am going to leave this out there. Lesnar/McIntyre for the WWE Championship needs to close out WrestleMania.
The WWE has all of the tools to make 2020 a great year for the company and for the fans. Should they decide to to Reigns/Wyatt for WrestleMania and Roman wins the strap, I see Roman being a placeholder champion. Whomever wins the Men's Money In The Bank this year is going to cash in against Roman and become the Universal Champion.
