Got me a bit surprised with that one. McIntyre deserved the Rumble, just wish his build had been more steady. A sudden face turn a few weeks ago and now going for Brock, has me a little concerned. Creative needs to handle him better than they did Seth if he is destined to be champion. A pure doofus face ain't gonna cut it. So glad someone talked Vince out of Roman but still expecting him as the Fiend's WM opponent, especially with Reigns being in that late. Beating cancer is too much of a hook to let pass, surely. I’m more worried Drew will be treated like Nakamura in 2018. Both were coming off a months long loosing streak before winning the Rumble out of nowhere. Hoping Drew gets better booking than Nak did. That is my concern. Drew would be the third guy meant to get a rub from defeating Lesnar, the guy who ended the Streak (btw, I've pushed before a heel Drew should have retired Taker himself). Reigns never seemed like the right choice and they got cold feet multiple times. Seth could have enjoyed it but was handled so poorly they had to reset him. Like you, I don't want to be looking at another failed superstar push and yet another person challenging Brock this time next year.

Enjoyed the Men's Rumble way more than the Women's imo.
Shayna should've won it and challenged Becky at WrestleMania, after her dominance on NXT it would've been a huge way to bring her up to the main roster. Charlotte doesnt need it, and I dont think many people wanna see Bayley/Charlotte again or Becky/Charlotte 65.
McIntyre winning it is a pleasant surprise because I wasnt sure they would pull the trigger on him, but I am super happy, its about time. So happy Edge is back too, he looks great and hopefully we'll get a dream match for him at WrestleMania. I will likely be nervous every match I watch though, hoping his neck holds up.

So cool to see Edge back...I hope he reunites with Hawkins and Ryder at some point down the line.
I wonder what the likelihood is of seeing Christian back, even just for a one off tag match?

You’re literally fantasy booking the WWE backstage environment so that you can pretend everything you hate is booked by Vince and everything you like is booked by someone else. 😂 That attitude is what makes Vince’s job so easy. It’s not fantasy booking at all...Its widely out there that Vince is hardly there on a day to day basis as he prepares for the XFL. He has his hands on Smackdown due to the FOX investment It's even more widely out there that Vince has always and continued to make final calls, and that hes responsible for quite a few of the moments fans loved while posting on social media things like "thank god vince didnt get his way on this".

Aside from Edge’s return and Drew McIntyre winning, this event was horrendous.

Prob the best booked and most unique rumble matches in a long time, was the men’s rumble. Even though it’s been reported for months that Edge was cleared I flipped out like a schoolgirl and the way Drew was booked was perfection.

I was pretty surprised that Shayna Baszler did not win. Overall the women’s match was kinda odd for me, I didn’t really have a legitimate rooting interest. Sasha would be the top of my list as far as my favorites are concerned, but as we know she was not in the match. I’m not into Shayna, so her not winning doesn’t like irk me or anything. Charlotte is fine, and obviously she was gonna win if it wasn’t Shayna, but I don’t overly like or dislike her. So overall, I’m fine with it.
Men’s match was very enjoyable overall. I thought they went on too long with Brock eliminating everybody. With Lee and Strowman in there I thought that was the end of it and the ring would start to fill up, but not to be. But in the end it probably worked out for the best with the assist from Ricochet and Drew kicking Brock out of the ring. It was a very satisfying elimination. Then of course, even if we thought it would happen, Edge returns and it was amazing! He looked great, both physically and his performance. He didn’t stay away from the action either whether on offense or taking offense. I think he’s going to have a one-on-one match at Mania. Fast forward to the end, I still thought Reigns would win, but Drew crushes him with the Claymore and tosses him out. I’m all for this decision. If Reigns is going to face Wyatt, then he doesn’t need to win the Rumble, give the moment to someone who will benefit from it wayyy more. Kudos!

Brock eliminates entrant after entrant.
“This is the worst Rumble ever! I’m canceling the Network tomorrow morning. Vince McMahon is the devil!”
Edge returns, Drew eliminates Lesnar.
“Roman is still gonna win. If Drew or Edge don’t win this, I’m boycotting WrestleMania!”
McIntyre wins the Rumble by eliminating Reigns.
“THIS IS THE GREATEST NIGHT IN OUR INDUSTRY!”
The Rumble was good. I guess McIntyre is fulling turning babyface and we’re getting McIntyre/Lesnar at WrestleMania. Not my pick, but I like Drew. Let’s see if WWE can sell this random match in 2 months.

Christian will return on RAW and form CEO with Edge and Randy Orton. They will then take over and eventually start dominating the whole WWE roster for years.

I thought the Brock segment was booked perfectly. Only minor minor nitpick is maybe I would have had Morrison come in a little later to look a little better. Although I don’t know other than Dolph Ziggler who you could have switched Morrison with. Kofi got to look great against Brock I thought. Braun sure does continue to be booked like a moron. Why he goes after Keith Lee when they had the chance to eliminate Brock, it literally caused him and Keith to be eliminated. I feel like they are building something with Corbin and Riddle, Corbin stoke the pin on Riddle at survivor series and now in the rumble he sneaks up and throws him out.

Edge returning was cool, and I'm interested to see what happens with Drew from here out, since recent history shows that they've struggled to really get someone all the way over. But overall this event was terrible. The show felt like it really dragged, and I don't like how they basically split both rumbles into two entirely different matches with a hard reset. All the focus was on a small handful of people, at the expense of the majority of the roster and with little done to advance stories.
It seems like overall it was well received, which is great. But with the sheer amount of wrestling out there that I have been loving (AEW, NWA, Impact, NJPW), it doesn't make sense to slog through a show that feels like a drain when other products feel like an easy and enjoyable watch.

Longest time between entrants was 2:40(miz), shortest was :76sec (Roman)

what about Edge's wife?
I don't know how bad that cut was, but her blonde hair was crimson like Ric Flair and she still went through with the match! I kept seeing WWE refs and personnel asking her if she still could go whenever she was down on the apron. She was fantastic!
Also kudos to MVP's Black Panther gear, that looked sick!

Edge used to be a top favorite of mine as a kid back in the late 90’s. Glad to see him back. He looked great and I loved the attire
I did cringe every time he took a bump tho. Hope he stays safe and doesn’t damage himself.
Seeing him and Bryan both back in action does still leave out a little glimmer of hope for a SCSA one off, IMO.

Which is why I'm really okay with Orton being his first feud back. Orton is as safe as they come, and can go on the mic.

Just watched the men's Rumble. I haven't watched WWE since April but I'll never miss it.
I've seen twenty Royal Rumble matches and that one was the absolute best. Brock's tear through everyone for the first half was absolutely fantastic, and it absolutely made McIntyre when he eliminated him. I'd have liked to see Morrison and MVP in there for a bit longer, but the disappointment of their returns being spoiled just added to Lesnar's heat and did the job perfectly.
When Edge's music hit I thought the bones were going to burst out of my body. The greatest moment in WWE since Bryan won the WM30 main event.

Edge returning has to be up there with the biggest mark out moment for me since the Hardys at Mania anyway.
Goosebumps!
So pleased for Mcintyre too, I've literally watched this man go from being Vince's chosen one, back to wrestling in my local club in England back to winning the Rumble!
Goosebumps!
