It sucks about Sting not coming out. I think mattel did an okay job on Crow Stings, but they did a shi+ job on surfer stings. I believe they only made two? BS. The great american bash didn't do much for me either. Sting is one of the most colorful wrestlers of all time. So many of his looks would have been money in the elite line. My opinion. As a fan of his, I should be allowed to be a little disappointed. Notice how I said, "a little disappointed." -Not freaking out. Hopefully, Sting becomes available to make again soon. I'm sure he will at some point. Now cue some boot licker who wants to give me the business over having an opinion. Or better yet hit me with the "what's going on in the world" line. The Green/white sting was great!

I wonder why a figure like the Edgeheads can still be released, but Sting has to be pulled...I'd have to imagine that they're around the same point of production? Different contract situations most likely.

While I'm still pretty critical of how this whole thing has been handled with Legends 7 by Target and Mattel, I do think Mattel did a decent job of knocking out many different Stings. Surfer Sting, first title win Sting, Crow Sting, Brown haired Surfer Sting, Wolfpac Sting, WM Sting, and Shirted Sting (which is fairly TNA ish) all got Elites, while a number of Basics were produced in excellent attires.
I also wish we'd seen more Surfer attires, and this cancelled Crow Sting was a must have... but I do think all things considered, Mattel managed to cover a good cross section of the man's career.

If anything with everything going on in the world right now sting probably just didn't get a chance to renew his legends deal yet.

and this slot is where you put King Harley Race
it's sad this Sting figure will probably only be owned by people(social media braggarts) with stolen figure connections

If the B62(?) Starrcade’90 neon green Sting was the correct height this would sting less (no pun intended) as everyone knows the GAB ‘90 was my favorite attire of his, but the fact that we didn’t get Elites of Starrcade ‘90, BeachBlast’92 hot pink, and a WCW Crow Sting in his most common black singlet with the scorpions running down both sides is mind boggling! Those are probably his 3 most quintessential looks.
I am greatful for the Sting figures we got, but I’ve said many times Sting could have been released in every single wave Mattel released and I would gladly buy them. I feel like it was a missed opportunity as he should have been treated like Macho Man/Rey/Undertaker.

Can't they get WWE to sign Jeff Farmer and just release the cancelled figure? I mean there's been no better "nWo Sting" that this one that got cancelled. If Jeff farmer is signed, we better get a cobra figure as well

Idk what the difference is but there had to have been some sort of difference between them Perhaps it's that WWE still owns their names and likenesses as the Edgeheads, whereas they don't with Sting.

How about WrestleWar '92 Sting... *sigh*

Serious Question (and before anyone yells at me, I'm not saying people can't be bummed or upset. They have every right to and like I said earlier there are valid criticisms): In the timeframe since Sting signed and his first Mattel came out (which is 2014 and 2015 respectively) what legends have had more total figures than him? Warrior and Savage?

How about WrestleWar '92 Sting... *sigh* Sting is my favorite too and it really feels like Mattel should have cranked out as many Surfer Sting Elite figures as they have Macho and Warrior. This isn't as bad as some of the other misstimed legends who didn't have many of their iconic looks, but it really feels like a bad move to not get Surfer Sting's torso right. Seems like there were so many different options for other Sting figures especially with that improved headsculpt.

I guess I don’t understand this logic. The cancel sting right before the preorder but show 2 Jake Roberts figures after he debuted with AEW? How does that work?

Warrior and Savage? The challenge with Sting is he has two distinct eras of his career and Mattel put a bit more emphasis on the Crow era as opposed to the more colorful Surfer Sting period. There were two Elite Surfer Stings so it's not like there were a ton of those figures for folks (like me) who wanted more of that incarnation. Two in six years is not the best ratio.

and this slot is where you put King Harley Race it's sad this Sting figure will probably only be owned by people(social media braggarts) with stolen figure connections HAHAHAHAHAHAHA The most logical thing Mattel could have done was put Harley in the Legends line up as soon as they knew they were bringing it back. Harley didn't get in 7 OR 8. Which means either Mattel is deaf to what fans want or they lost the rights to Harley. Don't give me that BS "right spot" logic. They pumped out Black and Dunne when they were both store exclusives and hard to find but Harley which was much harder to find is still not out again. You throw Harley in Series 7 and let it be pre-order..able pre-orderable, whatever the word is, and that would have solidified the return of the line. But hey at least we got weasel suit Heenan that came dead ass last in a fan poll and oldman warrior in a suit. If anyone fits the in with the Legends packaging it's Harley Race.

Seven total DM E62 TNF 3-pack Basic 62 Network Spotlight Fan Central BP JJ Dillon Flashback series And yes, I am also bummed we didn't get more as well. I wanted at the very least an homage to the Galoob figure, and his purple and yellow gear.
