What are the odds of aew possibly doing a heavenly bodies 2-pack? And maybe a jim cornette?
And while they are at it...the midnight express!

I'd love a Cornette, but something tells me his heat with every company under the sun is going to make that next to impossible. I'd buy the Bodies and Midnight. But of the two, I'd say Midnight would be likely and Bodies would be a less than 50% chance. But I guess it also depends whether they did a stand alone legends line or incorporate them in the main Unrivaled line. They'd need a lot more talent for a standalone line than just mixing figures in here and there.

Really, I understand Martha Hart more hates the WWE and Vince more than she hates wrestling. Who knows? Maybe AEW could get the licensing deal to honor Owen with a figure and do something the WWE would 'seemlingy' never be able to do?
I would approach this line a lot like the Classic Superstars line and say an AEW Legend's line doesn't only need figures of people who are in/have been in AEW, huh? So you could make the obvious ones like Taz and Natural Dustin Rhodes and Lionheart Jericho, but then just see what legends you could get on a licensing deal to produce figures. I'd love to see some WCW cruiserweights and some ECW guys get AEW figures!

I'd love to see some WCW cruiserweights and some ECW guys get AEW figures! A lot of the WCW cruiserweights are going to be made by Boss Fight Studios' Lucha line. If you haven't checked it out, there's a thread on the Other Brands board. But Jeremy has definitely been reaching out to non-AEW legends. There was a bit of a faux pas where he hit up a fake Terry Funk account on Twitter about a figure deal. What could Jazwares do to really stand out so it isn't just Classic Superstars 2.0? I started daydreaming, and would love to see them go after some of the Japanese legends who have never had Western figures. Hayabusa, Misawa, Kawada, Muta, etc. No clue if the workers would have any interest, or how much of a market there would be in the US. But compared to a decade ago, NJPW has had a ton of buzz for some time, and that and widely available content on Youtube has probably made those guys more known to a western audience than before. If you don't have Hogan, Flair, Warrior level talent, there could be creative ways to get some buzz around a product. No idea if it would sell. But I'd love to see them give it a shot, since as I understand it none of those big names are tied to any company from a merch standpoint.

Thought of some more legends they might be able to do... Vampiro Juventud guerrera with mask Great list. Vampiro and Juvi both have figures coming out soon-ish in the Legends of Lucha Libra line from Boss Fight. Check them out if you haven't seen them - awesome figures and a really cool line. Both guys are getting figures in their "basic" line first, but should have more iconic looks made in their premium line soon. They're supposed to do some reveals this month.

Martha and the kids will never do anything with WWE but under the right circumstances such as maybe making the figures exclusives where the money goes to charity, they might be open to letting AEW put Owen in their legends line

AEW Luminaries Series 1........ I like it βοΈπ The "Luminaries" name is a little convoluted, but I get that WWE has "Legends" trademarked and they need something similar but different. In the end I don't really care what it's called as long as we get a Jerry Lynn figure.

I'd rather see Luminaries sprinkled into the Unrivaled Series. I don't think luminary is any more convoluted than legend. It's just that WWE-speak of Superstar, Legend, etc has become ingrained in wrestling fans vocabulary that anything else feels a bit odd these days. I really like the idea of calling them luminaries. As far as the release? I've always said incorporating them into the Unrivaled line makes sense from a few angles - you don't need retailers to pick up a second product (and peg space), it allows you to stretch out releases for the active roster, and you don't necessarily need anchor talent. With that said, I'd have no objection on a dedicated line if the stars align and they think it's sustainable. But how realistic is that? Hogan and Flair signed recent WWE deals. It sounds like they may have made a run at Sting but he went back to WWE. Warrior isn't going anywhere if Dana is still on the creative team. HBK, Rock, SCSA aren't leaving behind that WWE paycheck and they own Eddie's rights. I could see Bret making a jump. Road Warriors and Steiners are available. They have Jericho. But you need somebody to anchor at least 4 waves a year if you're going to be at retail.

Great points. Wish we had confirmation on Sting, and I was really disappointed that Flair didn't join Arn and Tully in AEW. With that said they definitely have some options. Owen Hart is the longshot but within the realm of possibility if the deal was structured in a unique way. His estate is going to want a percentage of the profits directed to his foundation. Andre the Giant's estate does not sign exclusive contracts. He might be available. Jake Roberts is a big star. B+ at worst. I think he could be an anchor. The Road Warriors are definitely anchor talent imo. Ditto for the Steiners because Scott would be a guy they could repaint to death. Solid start imo.
