Right now it seems AEW is finally doing a better job at booking the women's division.
They already have a talented women's division but the one thing they are kind of lacking is a big name draw. Baker is doing a fantastic job of getting herself over but everyone else is kind of meh so far. Big Swole is someone I think could've elevated herself but I think due to her severe Crohn's she isn't taking a risk at traveling (I may be wrong though)
Nyla is just not great as a character and it doesn't help she doesn't have a strong babyface. I am Hikaru Shida's biggest fan but she needs more time than most due to the language barrier I think to become huge.
One name I would love to see jump ship is Tessa Blanchard. In my opinion she has done all she can in Impact and I would kill to see her lead the AEW women's division. I also would love to see Sasha Banks if she isn't used within the next year as she has so much more potential to kill it against people like Shida, Swole, etc. Hell it is nearly impossible now since she has retired twice but I would have loved to see Gail Kim have a one off fued tbh.
Are there any big names you would like to see?

Tennielle Dashwood (Emma), first and foremost.
Tessa Blanchard, please.
I'd love to see ODB & Jazz in AEW as well. Both are quite talented veterans. Those 4, plus the women AEW seem to be focusing on these days, I think that'd be a really good division.

If we're talking talent signed elsewhere, Tessa is at the very top of the list. Tenille and Jordynne Grace are right towards the top as well. All three have appeared in AEW/All In I'd love to see what Sasha could do outside of WWE, though when push comes to shove I don't think she'd walk away from Vince's paychecks. And Kay Lee Ray and Toni Storm are also on my short list.
Of folks currently available, Deonna Purrazzo and Rachael Ellering both make sense. Ellering particularly as a babyface powerhouse. I'm also super high on Laura Di Matteo. Millie McKenzie would also be a great signing, though I think she is content freelancing.
Shida has been great. Britt has come into her own as a heel, and it helps cover up her less than stellar in ring work. I just can't get into Statlander's gimmick. The division desperately needs some top tier talent. And there's more of that than ever out there, it's just a question of whether they're willing to spend on the division when contracts come up.

Britt and Hikaru are my favorites. I have been a huge fan of Hikaru for years but Britt lacks in ring experience and Hikaru is still getting used to working an American style with promos/character work. I am also a fan of Laura Di Matteo, not sure why she hasn't gotten more opportunities as she plays an amazing babyface. Speaking of Toni Storm what the hell is WWE doing with her? They seemed so high on her and then she disappeared. It baffles me how she hasn't been called up yet tbh.

Not sure if there's anything more to that, but I feel like she's really flown under the radar for whatever reason. She had a handful of bookings in Progress, but hasn't been there in a year. And despite getting some more focus in EVE, I think their low quality production hurts their profile. I'm curious to see how things play out. A couple of months ago AEW had the new tv deal and strong attendance, and I figured some upgrades in the women's division were coming. But with the current economic climate and all the higher profile names WWE released, I can see the division staying on the back burner. It's great that they've grabbing prospects like Anna Jay and Sadie Gibbs, but they have a lot of green talent on tv even pre-pandemic.

As a huge fan of women's wrestling I just can't get behind Eve's product. I appreciate what they stand for and love a lot of girls that work for them but I am just never impressed with their matches and they always push women who just aren't that great in the ring but push their agenda. It baffles me that Millie McKenzie is a resident jobber for them unless it is in a tag with Charlie. Also, I forgot to mention Jazz. I would love to see Jazz in AEW but I think her injuries are too bad... this is what hurt Kong's run apparently. I would love to see Jazz as a mentor or manager to a rising talent though. She could fit in well with Big Swole since they both have a fire attitude and I think there could be some comedic gold there as well since Big Swole can be quite funny as evident in her Queens of Combat stuff.

They need to sign Sareee & Maya Yukihi.
As far as women in WWE, it'd be great if they were able to get Asuka & Kairi Sane. Those are really the women that should be at the very, very top of AEW's priorities.
I've never been impressed by Tennelle (sp?) Dashwood and Tessa Blanchard wasn't signed for a reason.

There are aspects about EVE that I love, especially the fight club sort of vibe. And they give a platform for some great workers who probably otherwise wouldn't be in the spots they are. But the booking and pushes are beyond questionable at times. They have some great workers and also some folks who appear to lack any athletic ability. And somehow which of those camps you fall into doesn't matter all that much in the booking. One of the recent events (WK3?) had two women just shrieking and babbling incoherently on commentary, to the point that I stopped watching after the first match. I'd love to see what someone like Laura or Millie could do on a larger stage.

Rhia is just not as good as she was earlier in her career, same with Jetta, Sammie Jayne etc. They just aren't conditioned like they used to be and it shows especially in a long match when they look so winded and clunky with offense. I feel like if they pushed Millie, Laura, Kanji there could be a huge renaissance for them.

Sareee was actually signed by WWE. She was supposed to report a few weeks back but was delayed due to coronavirus. Triple H has been trying to get her to sign for a while now. Speaking of joshi stars I would love to see Giulia work a major promotion. She isn't as good in the ring as other joshi girls but she has a huge presence and I love the fact that she is so diverse (Japanese/Italian and born in London).

Apparently Sane's deal is ending soon. I think she's a real possibility. I suppose the WWE could come to their senses and move her over to Smackdown as a face, but right now she's just taking pins so Asuka doesn't and it doesn't appear Asuka's gonna be in many tag matches now, so ...

She would be incredible though, so talented. Tessa impact deal expires this year if my memory is right, but maybe it's 2021. I know she's burned some bridges so who knows if she'd fit in the locker room, but Tully is there and she's incredibly talented.

Circling back here because I just realized Serena Deeb is only 33. I was shocked when I saw that today. Although she was a producer for the last few years she proved she could still go in the MYC and I think she prob could easily get back in the swing of things.
She has a ton of experience working in front of a big crowd and also working on major promotions which is what the women's division is lacking right now.

of unsigned people, kelly klien. yes, she has the ROH drama, and her concussion, but she was a solid performer. they have been using dani jordan and sadi gibbs, both who are great. tessa definetly, and toni storm, if they are able to pluck tallent. the division started off weak, but is picking up steam. really enjoy statlander, and penelopi ford is kind of transforming before our eyes, like lacey evans has in wwe.

I’m pretty sure Kairi was pretty recently married, not sure about living situations though. Io Shirai has also had rumors about her possibly leaving when her deal is up, and she’s engaged to EVIL who obviously lives in Japan.
