Whoa...10 years ago on this forum if you said anyone else but Bale or DARED say a bad word about Nolan's movies you would have been LYNCHED....LOL. From whos listed...Its still Keaton for me. Kilmer would have been great in the darker Schumacher BF but we seen what happened there. Clooney...whoooo. Bale for me was great in the role but the fight scenes let him down big time. His Batman was too light because of the stripped down portryal in Nolan's movies. LOVED Afflecks bruiser in BvS but good God his portrayal in Justice League was awful. Conroy is my fave all the way...& Mask of the Phantasm is my favourite Batman movie. To be fair, Nolan's trilogy is more like James Bond than it is Batman. I will say, The Dark Knight is the Batman movie I go back to the most but the last act is hot garbage. Ledger completely owns that movie, without him I think no one really talks about that trilogy. I agree with you about Ledger owning that movie. Its almost more of a Joker movie than a Batman movie.

Even the scenes he's not in you can feel his presence in the world. It really is an all time performance in film.

Batman was serious talks here when those movies came out. many an argument... my vote goes to Kevin Conroy, and I’m happy to see I wasn’t the first in the thread to bring him up! I remember one member here has a signed complete DVD series of the animated show?

It really is an all time performance in film. The Joker is only in TDK for 30 minutes. People, including myself, thought he was in it for a helluva lot longer. That just goes to show how engrossing that performance is.

The Batman is only as good as The Joker he faces IMO For pure fun its West/Romero, for entertainment its Bale/Ledger but for an iconic/legendary duo its Keaton/Nicholson Affleck could have been up there if he was given a proper Joker IMO. Leto was just ing awful. I would have loved to see Affleck Batman vs Phoenix's Joker.

I remember being hated on bad by a couple of assh*les here because in the summer of 2008 I preferred Iron Man & wasnt all that impressed by Ledgers Joker. Those opinions haven't changed either I have to say. find the Nolan movies great but CHRONICALLY overrated.
