heel cody is kind've a prick, so now that you mention it i could see it lol. One day we'll get full blown heel Cody and it'll be glorious. I see what Aldis is doing in the NWA and knowing that Cody would do it much better. I firmly believe that AEW Cody is/has been more of a heel right now than he is a face, Sorry, but Aldis is so much more comfortable and natural, on the mic. Cody doesn't have half the charisma, personality or promo ability, that Nick Aldis has - especially to be a "full-blown" heel. There's a reason why Vince let him go. When it comes to using a mic, Cody is not his father... he's not even his brother. As far as talking is concerned, the only trait Cody shares with his father, is a lisp.

i got incredibly sick before the show so had to sit it out and finally sleep through it. just now got around to watching it all. notes from the show: -mjf is so good. the snuggie he wore to the ring was not -i LOVE that they did the old school tag spot where the ref didn't see it -quad kip-up canadian destroyer spot was dope. as was marko getting tossed out like trash, and wardlows seanton bomb -finish was okay wtf at the puppy battle royale? is this a rib? -shida is bae for life -penelope hot af too -they really scared me after shida DONE THE DEAL!!! thought ford had it for a sec. the matrix stunner was cool, as was the lethal injection. -NOBODY KICKS OUT OF 2 FALCON ARROWS!!! -much better match than i expected! motn? -catalina...WHAT A MILF -cody's gab shirt is amazing -"HE IS ROCK HARDDDD!" hahahahaha -weird ass tale of the tape -cody's corner diamond cutter is OP -hager celebrating while cody's music played was laughable -easily hager's best career match -DARBY! that backflip onto the skateboard is the sickest tony hawk pro skater trick i've ever seen -i hate quen's hair, but this is a slight upgrade -poetry in motion to the outside was neat -p&p are the best. The Best! THE BEST!!! -holy crap that top rope powerbomb/alley oop combo was TOO SWEET! so was the poetry in motion cannonball! - ing hell, i did not want private party to win -lmao, jericho has been absolute gold all night. no surprise there -dammit!!! cage and mox postponed. at least the wait isn't too long though. mox is clearly scared of my mans -omg trent's mom dropping them off is the greatest entrance i have ever seen. better than any wrestlemania entrance -"not afraid to say the s-word on tv" they're killing me tonight lol -off to a slow start but damn, once business picked up they're all laying their sh*t in -JESUS THAT PILEDRIVER -i'm with britt, aubrey edwards is a conspirator. playing favorites, not even attempting to begin a 10 count on kenny and page. -STRONG ZERO SHOULD HAVE DONE THE DEAL! -AWFUL WAFFLE BABY!!!! -crunchy/dudebuster is better than deadeye don't @ me -MOTHER ER!!!!!!!!!!!

As far as talking is concerned, the only trait Cody shares with his father, is a lisp. I'm concerned that you seem to be using his lisp as another way to dig on him, or at least that's how it comes across, I shouldn't assume the worst but that's how it read to me. Wife is a speech language pathologist so come @ me if it's trying to make fun of speech issues. It does point to something interesting. It's no secret Cody has one and Dustin doesn't. It could be for a few different reasons, but it does further the non kayfabe part of their relationship noticing that they had different influences growing up. Cody likely either spent a lot more time with dad and Dustin with mom during the years they learned to speak. I should ask my wife when she wakes up. When she first mentioned Cody's lisp I told her his dad had a stronger one and she wasn't surprised, but I didn't mention that Dustin didn't have one and I don't think she's heard him talk. I'll have to ask her about that and see if my guess is likely correct.

If Ripley wasn't going to somehow lose, and be forced to join up with Stone - mostly for comedic purposes... what was the point of even having the match? Also, notice how nobody in the NXT threads, mentions Dynamite... yet over there, the usual suspects are all sh*tting on the GAB card, and commenting on how hyped they are for a weekly wrestling show again, in the FF thread, because this show couldn't possibly match up to their glorious AEW... It's really quite nauseating. lol. if your haters are whining you know you’re doing something right. hopefully we keep nauseating him, maybe he’ll simulate NXT and puke everywhere.

I'm pretty sure anytime someone starts talking about the current state of WWE or their business practices there's a flood of "wHaT aBoUt aEw?!?". IMAGINE being upset with someone enjoying something you don't...THAT'S nauseating.

Tag Opener was mostly awesome, women's title was awesome, jericho is god, Cody vs Hager was OK, Main event was good, think i hyped it up too much in my own mind and expected a bit more. Good show though, had a lot of fun and that is all i ask for.

Main event was definitely hampered because of the time. If they didn't have to cut the Tazz promo and went right into the main event at the 30 minute mark it would have been incredible. Ending just felt really rushed. Women's match was MoTN for me.

I thought both shows were entertaining. They both had things I enjoyed and things I didn’t. I did feel AEW’s Main Event last night was better than NXT’s. But that said I can honestly say if the AEW Championship match happens on next weeks show I will say I feel NXT’s will be better, because I still feel Moxley is way overrated. I felt he phoned it in as the WWE champion and from the matches I have seen in AEW while a little better I feel like he still phoning it in.

I enjoy and respect PJ’s opinions, rather I agree or not.

Tazz cut a promo on it and they addressed it on commentary briefly. In 2 weeks, they're gonna do Fight for the Fallen (I assume they weren't planning on doing it right after, but have to hype up the title match since they had to move it). I hope Cage takes the strap off Mox, and I really think he will. The tag match they announced against Private Party with Hangman/Omega defending straps is the replacement. I don't know if that means it'll take the main event slot or not though.

snowjorden I'm curious too. It depends how quickly they want to rush the Omega/Page story I think. You can tell they've been trying to play catch up fast with it to get it to where it should be in relation to the rest of the major stories in the title scene, after Page being at home for a bit. Also depends when they were originally planning on doing Fight for the Fallen. The obvious quick story is if Page/Omega drop the belts to PP next week, and it sets up Page/FTR vs. Omega/Bucks. Could be the start of advancing the story of Page/Omega splitting and Page shifting allegiances to FTR. Also teases the actual Bucks/FTR match by giving it to us without actually giving it to us.

His floor is 3 stars and his ceiling is like 4. What you see is what you get with him. His promos and segments are solid and his in-ring leaves some to be desired. I think he's best served in plunder matches, but those feel too few and far between. I think his in ring is really suffering from not having a crowd. He feeds off of an audience so well. I'll probably catch the NXT main event on Hulu next Thursday, but since Road Dogg got his finger prints all over the product I can't stomach the entire show. I really miss NXT being must see and that was because of the match quality.

I'd be down for FTR vs Lucha Bros and the Bucks vs B&B.
