Don’t buy it that there’s an issue with the middle man. Hornswoggle’s figure seemingly has a pretty quick turn around from announcement to release if it’s it believed that it’s being shipped in November. Which is a total joke and spits in the face of people who have year old preorders with no communication. yeah this is my confusion now - Chella have a toilet-roll list of upcoming designs that they have clearly agreed a contract on (you don't publicise a design for an official figure if you don't have the talent already under contract!) so they must have like 20 wrestlers or more announced with figures/designs in the pipeline, yet they managed to launch of Swoggle figure with no prior warning, and have clearly been working on designs and manufacturing in the background, so something seems odd there
why make a figure with NO confirmed pipeline, before you've shifted the figures where you've got pre-orders already paid for and a whole backlog ready to go next???
just seems like a totally odd business logic to me

I would say my Wrestle Trader orders are in safe hands (I'm sure they would refund if the figures didn't materialise) but that Dynamite elite is a write off for me.

as hopeful that I am that Chella isn't finished, and it's not become a money grab/scam, I'm somewhat skeptical now after reading that even GrappleArcade can't contact Chella, despite being the host of the (as then) "official" Chella podcast.... it just seems somewhat odd when Chella's own business partners and other publicity relationships can't even contact them That guy who designed the Remco figures for Chella also said they'd gone radio silent and he'd not been paid for his work.

EDIT* Mistake on their systems, a lot of people were getting panicked there. Phew.

Random refunds? LoL Not sure the whole story, I think I just got worried too early when I seen that news. I'm still waiting on things that I've lost faith in seeing for at least another 6 months tbh.

Update from me, refund for my big daddy figure received. Yesterday Wrestlingtrader said they would again pass my message on and that refunds were due in the next few days and got it next day so I still have full faith in anything Wrestlingtrader related or involved with. They also said they still expect haku to be done and sent to people once they are ready and not to worry so I'll be keeping that pre order open and not cancelling it. Hats off to Wrestlingtrader for being there and reassuring when they can.

that's who I mean, and yeah, if someone who was in regular contact with them for their own PR podcast, and then tried to offer designs for an upcoming line (and wasn't paid) and then they went totally silent on him.... that just seems odd all round

I still have blue Haystacks, Big Daddy, Greg Valentine & 2 Haku’s on order. Been thinking about cancelling my Valentine, but it sounded like the blue Haystacks & Big Daddy were near completion and hopeful for arrival in next few months, so thought I’d wait them out. Which left me wondering about Haku - the one I want most. So it’s interesting to hear Wrestling Trader’s optimism that Haku is still in play - seems like a contrast to the anxiety-driven whipped up negative frenzy that’s on display here.

Has anyone who ordered bWo and/or Haku via Wrestling Asylum in the US reached out to them?

Well, when a company doesn't bother answering emails, apparently updating and paying people they've commissioned to do work for them, reach out to the people who sort their podcast updates, yet seemingly pump random unannounced figures out while they're still keeping people in the dark on figures that were supposed to be available literal months ago, people who complain about it are hardly whipping up a negative frenzy. I've got money wrapped up in this half-arsed excuse for a company and despite reaching out to them, they're still MIA, and I'm not the only one in this position. That's a pretty good reason to be annoyed. Any negativity toward them is of their own inept making. I'm not sure what the correct point is for a person to become annoyed by the complete lack of communication, information or clarification from a company that seems to function like a sporadic weekend business venture. We were here in this same position about a month or so ago when one poster insisted that everybody simply "relax." Well I'm not flagging cars down and punching out drivers yet but I'm getting a bit peeved off that people actually expect paying customers to be continually sympathetic to the absolute crapfest that is the current Chella situation and optimistic that the near year-long wait for pre-orders is still actually on the way now, any day, when said company cannot be arsed to post a simple message. It's been a few weeks since Wrestling Trader apparently took over, and we're no closer to even knowing if they have took over. It's all a guessing game. There's no excuse for that kind of bollocks. It's laughable.

Received an email today notifying me of refund for the Haystacks figure I ordered. Really unfortunate, but things just fell apart for Chella. Some did get the figure, but lots didn’t like me. Hopefully they get their issues sorted out.

It's been a few weeks since Wrestling Trader apparently took over, and we're no closer to even knowing if they have took over. It's all a guessing game. There's no excuse for that kind of bollocks. It's laughable. I get where you're coming from, and agree to an extent but I think we do need some clarity, and maybe the guy from Figure Collections (who is on here) can help explain some of it, to at least calm some of the confusion down?
as I understand things, and I'm just a punter like you, the situation is that Wrestling Trader are taking over distribution for UK/EU orders, and Figure Collections are taking over distribution for US orders (they were before) but neither FC or WT are "in charge" of Chella as a business, they're just handling the shipping product to customer aspect of the deal
now.... both FC and WT have skin in the game here, as they have "exclusive" figures on the way through Chella, like the Swoggle figure and Greg Valentine, as well as previously offering Al Snow, Gangrel etc so as far as I can see, both WT/FC have a deal here where their exclusive figures are coming, so we can only assume other figures are coming too
there was a recent event in the UK where Chella's marketing material was used (by WT) to showcase upcoming figures, and they had the prototypes of the Powers of Pain and Killer Bees, so we can assume those are still planned and in some stage of production, but before we get there, there's still Series 2 which is Haku, Tanga, bWo and at some point Luna (which I believe is a WT/FC exclusive) so the distributors must have some expectation of these figures at least coming through in the next few months, or they would have just been issuing all-out refunds to everyone for Haku onwards
that said, it sounded (as per the previous FC/WT update) that both Al Snow and Big Daddy were wrapping up production and nearly ready for shipping from factory to WT/FC to distribute to customers, but also figures like the 88 Dynamite/white Dynamite and both brown and blue Haystacks were also due to be shipped
now FC did receive blue Haystacks a while back, so that figure exists, the UK/EU shipment either doesn't seem to have arrived yet, or that stock is not with WT yet to distribute, but the actual figure (and I assume there are a 1000 of them or so?) must be somewhere, as they've definitely made and shipped a batch of them to FC
what would be helpful as I said, and I think we all agree here, is for someone like FC to post a proper update on where things stand, which figures are or are not realistic options for buyers, and give us some indication of what the next 12 months looks like for customers because that would at least satisfy the majority of concern here, and would allow the people closer to the situation to share some proper information rather than rumours and speculation doing it for them

That's the problem we've got, there's been absolutely no clarity on what the exact situation is. I can't believe for a moment that they can't issue even a biweekly update on what's going on with things. We've all been patient, fair and understanding, and we've all dished out our share of criticism when companies have dropped the ball, not least of all ZST. Having been a supporter and defender of Chella over the past year, I can't sit by and act like they're immune to that same criticism. They've left everyone in the dark, and that's shoddy. That event was in Liverpool, iirc, where I live, but I was unable to attend as I was working. They had a lot of stuff planned, and whether they bit off more than they could chew is debatable, but it really doesn't help matters when they're still pushing out multiple lines and projects while they're still missing figures from series 1 or 2 or whatever.

so I've recently got all of my Chella figures out, as I'm trying to make a display for some (Big Daddy vs Haystacks for example) and if you line up the figures in release order, it's very clear that there is a marked difference in quality and design running throughout - from Aldis to Adam Bomb, it is extremely noticeable in terms of skin colour (think of the change between AEW series 1 & 2) and I suspect that Chella actually changed factories as a result of the Ethan Page cock-up as figures like Hayabusa, Jay White, Adam Bomb etc look much better both in terms of design but they just look better compared to earlier figures
so their newer products look good, much better than earlier figures, it would be a shame if Chella goes the way of the dodo after Haku, but hey.... that's business! but it is odd to know that figures have been planned for years, pre-orders taken 12 months ago and no clarity around when those figures will be manufactured and shipped from factory, yet an extremely detailed Swoggle is announced from outta nowhere and that just makes no sense - you've been working on Swoggle for months in the background, so where are the rest of the figures we've ordered?

Sent a message to Wrestling Trader about a refund and got a pretty quick response. Unfortunately it just seems like they're passing it on to Chella to handle.
