My thoughts on Matt Cardona, are only ever going to be negative - as they have been, for however many years it is now, I've had to put up with seeing him on my tv. Mid-card talent at best. It's no coincidence, that out of all the recent releases, the only one AEW want to sign is Cardona - aka, Cody's mate. All this amounts to, is Cody hiring - or rather getting Uncle Tony, to hire his friend. There were so many better talents they could've hired before Cardona, like Rusev or Heath Slater - or even the far better Myers, who would've actually added to the show. A low-level talent like Cardona, is certainly not going to improve the AEW product, that's for sure. Also, I haven't got any time for someone, who not only brags about how much he spends on figures, but refers to himself as "the Michael Jordan of figure collecting". Those are my honest thoughts on Matt Cardona... obviously they're not positive - but then again, this thread is titled 'Thoughts on Matt Cardona', not 'Kiss Matt Cardona's arse', or 'the Matt Cardona appreciation thread'. OK, but what are your thoughts on CM Punk? |

Also, I haven't got any time for someone, who not only brags about how much he spends on figures, but refers to himself as "the Michael Jordan of figure collecting". It is obnoxious which is why I thought incorporating it into his character with him as a heel would be great. It could easily backfire and be too corny but it would be something different. I also think since it’s something he’s passionate about in real life, it could result in some better/more naturally delivered promos from him. Similar to how Punk was able to use the genuine frustrations he had to elevate his character. maybe they could even do some vignettes of him shopping for figures and snatching one out of the hands of a little kid. Then he could cut a promo on taking what he wants from whoever he wants. Or one where he’s at home dusting his collection and you see him flip out on his girlfriend for bothering him. |

Zack Ryder is our dream come true. To be a fan of something as much as we are, and then to go and do it, is amazing. Its nice to know there are SMarks like us in the industry. I'm proud to be a fan of a collector, who happens to be a collectible. He definitely deserves to be the Internet Champion.
