I could see Hangman actually being the one to take it off Brodie. They've already set up the Hangman dark order story.

Smart Mark killed it with that promo. Glad to see him getting opportunities and I hope he sticks around

I popped for Smart Mark for sure.
I'm re-watching the women's tag cup final right now. It wasn't a bad match at all, I can't believe how many of ya skipped it just because of Brandi. Women's matches are in general never going to be as fast paced as the men. The amount of women that can move at a 'fast' pace relative to men is always going to be miniscule. One of the biggest biological differences is going to be in terms of raw speed.
I thought this match was pretty decent though. Brandi has improved a lot in the ring, and they set up the match really well. People were clamoring for more Allie wrestling, and now that she is it feels like everyone turned on her just because of Brandi. Not necessarily here but overall. So weird.

Notice Reynolds is the only one not doing the D.O. sign.

I, for one, welcome our new Dark Order overlords. I like that Brodie basically squashed him. So happy for Brodie getting used the way I always wanted him to be in WWE

Personally I wasn’t a fan of the TNT Championship match. Brodie Lee has been portrayed as nothing but a mid carder and tag team wrestler in the wwe to coming to AEW and destroying Cody (one of their Top Guys) in a few minutes. It makes the AEW roster look weak where WWE’s mid carders can come in and dominate the AEW roster. They seem to be leaning a lot on WWE’s roster releases.
If Cody wanted to drop the title to Lee then they should have had the DO get involved for a cheap win and then destroy Cody and the Nightmare family like they did. Then have Lee keep retaining the title using the DO every week. But also each week having them help a little less while making Lee look a little more formidable and dominant.
But having all these former wwe wrestlers just come in and dominate make the AEW roster look weak.

I'm cool with Brodie squashing him because it's a part of a bigger angle, and it was heavily implied (or probably even outright said I don't remember) that it only happened because Cody was so burned out from defending the belt almost every week.
I gotta be honest though; I legit expected Cody to kick out of the Discus Lariat only because Brodie hadn't kicked out of the Cross Rhodes yet.

Yeah they were saying that for the last four or five weeks about him being run down. Hell even his matches he made it look like each week was a bigger struggle to win. But it still makes Cody look less of a top talent because I still didn’t feel like Brodie hadn’t really done anything in AEW to this point to erase years of mid card status.

I disagree but I don't, you know? I think they've done a pretty good job of establishing Brodie as a big deal, but I'll concede that the stench of losing to Moxley at Double or Nothing so soon after debuting still lingers. Apart from that he's undefeated, but I'm firmly in the category that if Brodie wasn't going to win the title he shouldn't have faced Moxley.

I think they’ve done a great job with Brodie since the Mox match. Dark Order as a whole has felt more legit, and Brodie himself even pinned Hangman a few weeks back. Combine that with the story of Cody being tired out from defending every week, and I think the dominate victory was a very good decision. It was also legit shocking to see it happen, so it worked out in that regard too.

I hope Tully and FTR slowly get away from Shawn Spears and replace him with someone better. He’s so average and uninteresting to me. I don’t think he’ll ever be as over as he was as the 10 guy

He should be a Dark Order minion. Make him the new 10 for obvious reasons. He’s fine as a midcard enhancement guy but him coming to AEW was the equivalent of Brutus Beefcake coming to WCW.

His build to facing Cody at All Out last year was phenomenal, but he's never going to reach that height again. I'm cool with Tully making FTR beat Spears down.
