I think it could have gone on just a little longer and as for who? I know it's not popular, but I would say Hogan, and that's during a no dq cage match where it takes the whole NWO using all their finishers and whatnot to do it. At the end have Hogan hit the leg drop and the ref is very hesitant, but hey! it's no DQ. Ref. counts to three and yes, the streak is "over", but there would be a huge asterisk next to it due to all the outside help Hogan would get. Just like when Yoko beat Taker in the casket match. It took 10 people to beat him. I like this idea!

Jericho, via countout. Goldberg was always afraid to face off with Jericho.

Just watched the documentary. The Goldberg streak could never happen again for one simple reason, the refs. The refs are trained to scorpion dive into the ear of a star that just took a bump no matter how soft. Imagine after every spear Nick Patrick went and checked in on every wrestler? The crowd would deflate, it wouldn’t be as realistic as Goldberg made it.
Today’s Refs need to let matches breathe!

Goldberg had to leave to film the Universal Soldier sequel, so something would have to happen that makes him either lose the Streak or he gets injured.
This is a tough one. Sid's so-called Streak might have been a decent feud if Goldberg still had the Streak.
Booker T or DDP imo. DDP would be a good choice as a heel and would set up his movie role too.

Was never a fan of WCW at the time. I’m kinda glad Nash ended it as from what I’ve read, it was meant to be Hogan who would be the one to end it. Everything I’ve read about Hulk’s politicking, I hope he choked on it.
But no real opinion on how it should have ended.

Just like "The Streak" for Taker is was given to someone that didn't need it in Nash and also in a match with a screwy finish. It was painfully obvious that the streak made Goldberg into a main event star and one of the face of WCW during that era and whomever finally ended his streak would in term also be made into a main event star.No point in giving the streak to and established main eventer or former world champion.Could have worked for DDP as they had a great match at Halloween Havoc but even with DDP not having a World Title win at that point was already pretty much cemented as a main eventer during the curse of '97/'98 with his feud with the nWo.
The best options would have been Benoit,Booker T,Scott Steiner...ect guys who where being built up as stars and into the main event scene that would hopefully care the company into the next decade.

I'll never understand why WCW gave Wrath his own streak for a while there and then just fed him to Nash instead of building to a streak vs streak match on PPV between Wrath and Goldberg. Wrath didn't need to go over but still.

Many say he was worse....

I had no problem with Nash ending it but I could've did without the taser stuff I would've had em just hit 3 powerbombs and call it a day. Nash was super over at this point in WCW but they ed it up a week later.

He booked himself to end the streak, and then to lose the title in the Finger Poke.

Trick question? Clearly by his opponent. 😁 Personally I would have liked Sting to end it cleanly in face vs face match. As for it being an NWO member I would have loved it to have been Hall ending it in a one on one match. Of course I would want it to be by cheating just not the cattle prod. My other choice would have been Bret Hart if he was there at that time. (I don’t remember if he was or wasn’t there yet)

They should've had someone who was up and coming end it instead of Nash, but the problem was WCW didn't really have any young "up and comers" considering the majority of their roster was either old as dirt or green as goose poo.
