Last night I watched the documentary on the WWE Network about Goldberg's streak. It was pretty cool to relive that, but back when the streak ended the way that it did I freaking hated it and I mean hated it. I just thought it was so stupid the way it all went down. To be fair, Kevin Nash was super over at this time so him being the one to end it was not out of the question. However, the whole cattleprod thing left me just thinking it was so stupid!
For me personally, I would have liked to have seen a "wrestler" end the streak. Some one like Bret Hart or Sting, someone who could have caught Goldberg with a move like a small package or something like that and got the win out of nowhere. The monster was stopped because of his lack of experience is a way to end the streak and not have Goldberg look weak or dumb in the process. Plus you could have had this enhance his character and make him learn from it.
Let me know what you guys think and how you would have ended his streak or if you even liked the way that they ended it.

I had no problem with Nash ending it but I could've did without the taser stuff
I would've had em just hit 3 powerbombs and call it a day.

I had no problem with Nash winning the title and ending the streak. However, the booking immediately after that led to the "Finger Poke of Doom" was idiotic.

I had no problem with the way the streak ended...It couldn't have gone on for much longer in fairness. It wasnt clean and it was to probably the most over guy in the company. Forget that he was the booker...but I wouldn't have liked to end it cleanly. I thought this left Goldberg looking good.
But the night after? Then the booking for the next 3 months left Goldberg dead as a doornail.

I liked when Booker beat him, think it may even have been clean to.

Not big fan of Goldberg; Nash ending it was fine. What happened after; ah hell no. Maybe even if you had Bret do it instead of Nash that’d be cool too. Or sting.

No shoulda kept it going IMO!
also HATED that it was nash only because i was getting the dirt sheets back then and knew nash was booking alot of the stuff and then goes and books himself to be the one to do it. just kinda rubbed me the wrong way with all the BS the clique pulled to get themselves over all the time.

Nobody. Goldberg should be 3167 - 0.

Thanks for the replies guys, I agree that Nash ending the streak was not the issue, but the way he did was. I like the idea of hitting Goldbegr with numerous power bombs.

they would've had to be built better and not buried, but Bryan Clark or Mike Awesome would both work for me. especially Awesome as he was totally ready, just manager him up.
Goldberg had already beat Nash a couple times. Nash was already a star, needed no rub, and was fairly goddam lazy in ring. treating none of his opponents like threats in interviews was the craps.

I think it could have gone on just a little longer and as for who? I know it's not popular, but I would say Hogan, and that's during a no dq cage match where it takes the whole NWO using all their finishers and whatnot to do it. At the end have Hogan hit the leg drop and the ref is very hesitant, but hey! it's no DQ. Ref. counts to three and yes, the streak is "over", but there would be a huge asterisk next to it due to all the outside help Hogan would get. Just like when Yoko beat Taker in the casket match. It took 10 people to beat him.
