The more that gets revealed the more I realize that this line is not for me.

I'm not sure if anyone else caught it, but if you watch the Pettengill announcement video posted on Twitter, Ron Rudat is shown holding some ZST sketches. There are two figures pictured. One is definitively Mantaur and the other looks to be Duke "The Dumpster" Droese, both of which would be instant buys for me and I'm sure many others. Nice catch. I missed that on the first viewing. I know Droese did the garbageman gimmick before he made it to the WWF, so I think he's in the clear from a copyright perspective. Not so sure on Mantaur. That one might be trickier.

Yeah I notice that too...I think those guys were part of some Ron Rudat designs he used for pin badges a couple years back (not sure of the appeal of pin badges personally). When he first announced the line I wondered if all of those would be part of it. I think the others included Savio Vega & Henry Godwin.

Those would both be instant buys for me as well; however, I don’t know if that’s a cheeky Easter egg. ZST did sell Hasbro style pins. And he had Mantaur and The Dumpster available. The date on the sketches was from 2018, which is when those pins were released. However, this is one time I hope I’m wrong.

Sorry to dispel that notion but that picture of Ron was from 2018 as mentioned. Those were in fact from those ZST pins:

Darn. Apologies for getting any hopes up. Although, if he was allowed to do those pins, then fingers crossed that the possibility is on the table for figures as well.

Dino is hands down the best of what’s been shown so far (fully painted). I may have to get him.

I agree. If Dino has the Hasbro sheen and is in scale with the other Hasbros, I'd consider buying. Waiting for final and side-by-side pictures. If I miss it, I miss it....

That Dino Bravo is incredible!
Say what you want, but I really do think this dude is in this with the very best of intentions.

Its a bit of a weird criticism but these are almost too good. The final product doesn't really fit in with the hasbros because these don't have their eccentricities (odd skin tones, faces, other design quirks).
I don't think they'd fit in next to a hasbro.

Yea I have to believe he is doing t for the right reasons but also to gain profit as any business does, his interactions with others is an issues and how he comes across as aggressive. His outright refusal to accommodate my country has left a very bad taste in my mouth about the guy personally. He will eventually sort out UK shipping but this will be way to late in the game and a number of series down the line.

It’s not “outright refusal” it’s business. If we want the line to thrive Zombie will have to make tough decisions. If you want to figures there will be ways to get them but you will have to put in some work.

Sorry man but Zombie is also aware of the many many ways to get around the issue of shipping to the UK so it is outright refusal at this time and he has friends that has means for shipping here in the UK. And you are right I can certainly find other means to gain access to these figures but the point is I should not have too if he is accommodating to everyone else, and please understand in order for me to acquire these figures there is additional costing right away, because I have to pay a percentage for someone agreeing to have them ship to their address as I would not want someone to do this service for free, then postage and customs on top of that. In reality it’s not worth getting into the ins and outs at this time and I don’t think the approach will change anytime soon, but this is certainly his informed choice he is making. I will say his figures are cool though.

Also just to highlighted, he will stand behind the 25% tax to products will eat into his profit which is true, however people within the uk community has made clear to him that he should simply provide UK buyers with the opinion to buy these products and include the additional 25% within their orders. If you are from the UK I will hear out your argument all day long, but if not you really need to take into account how unfair the approach has really been in Zombies approach and dealings with UK sellers. Now I believe when the issues is resolved he will be all to willing to want that UK business when it will benefit him 👍

This argument is true to some effect. I know of a good UK figure company that has offered to bend over backwards to distribute these in the UK, even means that has no affect on customs and taxes for ZST and he's not going for it.
This is of course all hearsay, and things may have changed since I last spoke to said retailer.

Yeah these aren’t gonna blend with hasbros. They don’t have the action features and are too detailed to add to your hasbro collection without them standing out. That said, they’ll look good by themselves on a shelf adjacent to the hasbros.
