Bebop! The name of my new cat. It was her shelter name but we kept the name. I call her Bebop-Baloo-bop sometimes.

When I was a kid I had three fish. I named them Oscar, Meyer, and Bolgna. I don’t know why I ever thought of that

I had a dog I took care of for a bit named Jezebel. She was a rottie and her previous mama had named her that.
I called her Jezzie.
The only pets I've gotten to name was my first rat who I named "Pika" (after Pikachu) and my third who I named "Princess" because she was the biggest rattie diva ever.

I’ve always liked to name cats after good or songs, or just exotic-sounding names. We also had a long-running thing where we used S names. Some I’ve used over the years (in order basically)…
Sasha Sammy Sadie Sasha 2.0 Sassy Jasmine Dunston Jello (my favorite pet and one of my best friends ever) Jupiter Pinky (current cat) Milo (other current cat)
Pinky was her name when I got her from my friend who rescued her, and it just kinda stuck. I bounced a few names around before picking Milo’s. I kinda liked that it sounded like Jello.

All my family’s pet names Corky & Mischief - Mother/daughter cats that were my mom’s that she brought with her when she married my dad. Chipper - a collie that was their first pet together. Patches & Needles - a pair of sister cats we got from a shelter when I was a in first grade. (Needles lived to be 20 years old) Patches - Needles - Peanut - a miniature collie when I was in high school. Trouble - a cat I rescued from the street as a kitten the summer of ‘85. My mom took him with her when she moved to CA in the late 90’s. Calvin - a cat my wife bought from a pet shop by her work when we were first married. Benny & Needles - the two cats we have now that we got in 2007. I didn’t want to name the one Needles but our daughter named him after my childhood cat. And my wife’s family had 4 dogs through the years named Smokey - a big gentle husky. Coco - a poodle. Mackie - a golden retriever. Charlie - a King Charles.

I named my rat Mimbles, named after a rabbit Greg Davies kills in a TV series called Man Down. Later on I learned Mimbles is a word for daydreaming which was apt for the rat who was a bit slow.
I've named my Oranda goldfish Moo, mainly cause it annoys my girlfriend. But she also had a cow pattern but in orange and white.
Edit: my dad once had a goose, he rescued at the lake, for the week it lived with us he was known as Ryan Gooseling

My dog is named Pongo. I always liked that name after seeing 101 Dalmatians as a kid. He’s a basset hound but it works for him
