My dog is named Lincoln after the car, but I like to make lots of presidential puns about the things he does. Plus there’s lots of puns or semi rhyming things I can calm him and it makes me laugh.

I named my cat Mick after Mick Foley. He showed up to me as a stray and looked like he had been through hell. Took him to the vet to get shots and checked out and he has real bad thyroid problems, he's deaf...and he has FIV, which is the cat version of aids. Dude reminded me of Foley cause of how rough he was, so I named him that. I know that's not funny, lol but yeah...I love him and spoil the hell out of him.

One of my sister's dogs is named Stroopwafel. He's named after a Dutch cookie.
There was a dog on my paper route named Peyote. I didn't realize what he was named after until I got older.
A kid I grew up with had a dog named Weiner. We always got a good laugh with that dog.

my english bulldogs name is catfish. I had two other bulldogs who have passed named bullie and buford (pronounced boo ferd). lol heres fish, shes 9 years old now which is old for bulldogs. Most live to be about 7 years old. Bullie was 10 and buford was 7. Attachment Deleted |

Named my cat Johnny Cat as a homage to the Saints Row character Johnny Gat.
Funnily enough, you can call him Johnny Gato and it still works!

I’m not really a fan of human names for pets. You can get creative with them without worrying if they’re gonna get bullied or anything.
My rag doll cats are called Princess Whiskers and Kitty Softpaws. Making vet appointments can be a bit of a lol sometimes.
My husky and blue heeler both have more normal names - Aldo (named after Aldo Raine) and Bowie (self explanatory).

My cat’s name has evolved over the years. We named him Jacoby when Jacoby Ellsbury had just gone to the Yankees (Yeesh 😬). Then we naturally began just calling him Coby for short, and stuck with that. After the events of last January we changed the spelling to Kobe, so that’s the story of the cool pet name of Kobe.
