babyface Reigns is a top contender for worst main eventer ever. Peak Super Cena was the bane of my existence. Kevin Owens in WWE works best as the upper mid-carder who occasionally gets pushed up for big matches because he delivers in-ring. Ambrose was always held down by Roman's push. Christian's 2011 top run was good as a Christian fan (at times) but his NWA-TNA run is the stuff of legend. But Edge? How was he a bad main eventer? He was probably the best heel for about half a decade and was always a highlight. I have to agree with the edge thing. When I think of edge, his best days were as the mysterious loner coming through the crowd or in triple threat tag matches where he only needed to shine in short bursts. His moveset is uninspired at best, his mic work makes me change the channel, and I've never had that "big fight feel" for an edge match. The rated r superstar crap has always felt forced and unnatural. And it's kind of a crap gimmick anyway. The best guys really make you believe the gimmick. Prime austin, rock, triple h, hbk...you could buy in. Edge just felt like a dude that didnt belong, playing a part he didnt understand. And his comeback has made it worse. From the "greatest wrestling match of all time" (lmfao) to this overly unnecessary rumble win, just awful. I honestly hope Roman retires him for good. And as PJ said, he was always the b champion. Always. every thing you said i agree with! rated r superstar was one of the lamest things ever in WWE remember the live sex celebration? how damn cringey was that. Edge as a tag team wrestler was great, but he was midcard and should have stayed there.

Surprised Triple H's '02-'05 run wasn't mentioned.
Anyway, the correct answer is Alberto Del Rio.

Luger vs HHH will probably be the main event of Wrestlemania when I'm in Hell.
Ryback also sucked some gnarly ass.

Luger was always terrible. Nobody ever watched a Luger match and thought "I need to see more of this guy!"
Del Rio is somehow a worse person than wrestler.
I will never understand how Diesel became so popular walking around like a midget on glass stilts.
Rey is only a believable main eventer if he's going up against plush Wrestling Buddies.

Without a doubt, the Great Khali. He's still the most immobile worker I've ever seen. For the 4-5 years that Vince had him near the top or at the top of the card, Khali's opponents had to work around him due to his inability to move well. It was a chore to watch.

See, I agree with the Del Rio stuff but what’s funny is that for a good while so many people here loved him and sang his praises. Go look back at the 2011 Rumble thread. People were so high on him. Haha

I was always high on Del Rios in ring work. Personally I cant knock workers who work their way to main event status unless they're just put there (Khali). And it sux when fans reject fresh stars getting pushed to main event status due to some bias. This is why the Cenas and Reigns stay afloat.

Didn't Del Rio falsify that a backstage employee was racist towards him? I remember him getting released for something along those lines.

Orton because of longevity, there the obvious guys like Khali, but atleast his reign served a purpose to get someone over before stepping out of the main event role. Orton has been tediously at the top for a long while.

I'm pretty sure that the story was that the employee used a racial slur, Del Rio heard it, and then slapped him. Then he got released.

Orton has been tediously at the top for a long while. Orton has had 14 World Championship reigns with only two of them going over 100 days but none of them going over 200. Orton deserves a good long run with all the headlocks, just to piss people off and make me happy.
