It's not a huge deal as long as Ryo wins, but it's still strange for sure. Britt could easily take the loss against Ryo without it being an issue at all.

Ryo was one of the least interesting woman in this tourney besides Nyla for me. This thing has just been bad all around. I just want the final match to happen and have Statlander come back and win the title at this point.

If the goal is to make Ryo, I just don't think this is the way to do it. Her side of the bracket has exclusively been on secondary platforms (though not great options there), and her victories are over people who a portion of your fanbase are familiar with. Nyla was basically MIA for 8 months, comes in and runs through your top 3 in the division. But they've still done nothing to make me care about Ryo, and I'm equally not invested in Nyla after this run.
I said a few months ago that maybe AEW's presentation of womens wrestling just isn't for me, and I guess I need to take my own advice. With the exception of a few of the top stars (Deeb, Rosa, Shida, Britt), I find myself skipping a lot of the women's content. It's sort of ironic, since in WWE and NXT I skip all the men's matches for the women's division. But while I've seen a lot of improvement in the individual workers, the booking continues to be more frustrating than enjoyable.

Honestly, I'd relegate all Women's matches to YouTube. If people want to watch it, they know where to find it. I'm over this division. The quality from in ring to in the back just isn't there.

The weird thing is them undermining the growth some had during the Quarantine Era to pick right back up with stuff dropped from before, giving Rose and Rainmaker cosplay gal the rub the first chance they got. Like an entire year never existed, and there weren't elements more engrossing that have developed since.

Honestly, I'd relegate all Women's matches to YouTube. If people want to watch it, they know where to find it. I'm over this division. The quality from in ring to in the back just isn't there. The Riho/Deeb match outperformed the young bucks/lax title match on the ratings chart. Rosa/riho was the high point in viewers for their week. Moving all women's wrestling to YouTube would be a very poor decision. |

Tbh I don't care about the finals at all. I don't have anything against Nyla but she just doesn't do much for me and pretty much the same for Ryo but that's not all on her I just haven't seen a whole lot of her but what I have seen I'm not impressed. I don't think its gonna be that big of a deal in the end because I think whoever wins gonna lose to Shida anyway. I still like a lot about the division(Shida,Britt,Anna,Tay,Statlander,Rosa,Serena to name a few) so this isn't gonna effect my outlook on the division and hopefully we see more of it on Dynamite every week.

There are certainly women I wouldn't lose sleep over not seeing again, and some really great wrestlers I love watching. I have not been a fan of the majority of the way they've booked this division either. At this point I'm happy enough to get more women's wrestling in the shows, that I'll just kinda put up with the bad booking right now. If it's still the same way in like two more years that might be a different story. |

If the booking and in ring gets more consistent, I'm cool giving them more. Right now I'm fine with that too, because you can build the rest up on dark and on YouTube specials. It's a good situation. Save the best for dynamite to keep interest high, and give the developing women more reps on YouTube. Still gets an audience but viewership numbers are less important |
