A while back I did a Wrestling Memories post about my WWF VHS collection, forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/360898/wrestling-memories-silver-vision-coliseumAnyway, no exaggeration here, but I must have sold 50 WWF tapes once I made the switch to DVD, but in my attic when I was up there over the weekend, I found that I still have four large boxes of WWF VHS tapes. I have done numerous purges of the attic over the years, but these have always survived. Most of the tapes have pretty bad tape rot so it is not like I can sell these. What I am thinking of doing is taking out all of the artwork (here in the UK we never had cardboard boxes) and putting them in a folder and then trashing the tapes and the cases. I would probably keep The Best of Saturday Nights Main Event and Ultimate Warrior complete as these were my very first two, but the rest... I think it is time to move on. What do you think of my idea to put the artwork in sleeves and then a binder? I can't really think of anything else to do with them and I do not want to just trash them... even if my wife says I am a grade A hoarder, which considering the amount of stuff in my attic I have a hard time arguing with lol. |

Put em in a binder for sure!Those Coliseum Video tapes had some amazing artwork. Definitely worth keeping.

Definitely a good idea. I kept the inserts from my vhs tapes as they were awesome

I have basically every WWF tape from 97/2001 and I would never dream of getting rid of them.
If your a classic wrestling collector you should definitely keep them.
There was just something special about the VHS tapes. The artwork, the cases, they just had an aura around them.

I get what you are saying, but I ended up having way more of these than I remembered, plus the tape rot issue means that 80 or so percent of these are useless. However, if I were to keep all of the artwork/inserts in a binder, they would probably get more love as I would keep them with my wrestling card collection. Do they go for much on eBay?
Ive had some tagged classics dvds go for more than expected on eBay - I think because they are not edited, and have the original commentaries and entrance music.
If you haven’t yet, I’d check out what you can get for them

just make sure to check each one before you toss them. maybe some didnt get the tape rot!

I hear theres a market for vhs tapes but how do people watch them? They don't make VCRs anymore & mine (& I'm asumming most peoples) don't work anymore. Are VCRs easily fixable or not worth getting it repaired?
