There was this one time when I was looking for the DM Hogan and the guy was like “I have one behind the counter on hold for another customer but I’ll sell it to you if you give me $10.” Then another customer overheard that offer and said he’d take him up on that. I countered with $20 then a third person got into the bidding war. When all was said and done I ended up paying the guy $300 plus the cost of the fig. And wouldn’t you know it, the next day I saw 5 of those figures at Meijer. I bought em all up and sold them on eBay for $200 each so ended up coming out ahead.

Is this thread by the same guy who made up the story about a bidding war breaking out over E34 Hogan? This would’ve been believable if the employee wasn’t quoted as saying ‘I’m tired of hearing about this Hollywood Hogan toy’, like people are constantly asking about it. Usually they just say ‘what’s out is what we have’.

Obviously, this is a gimmick account. The best thing would be to ignore it. Eventually, he will get tired of posting once he is no longer getting attention and will move on to a new gimmick account. Reminds me of that other member that pretends to be a young girl on here and posts nonstop about "her" fascination with Mattel dollies. Speaking of which, I looked at that account and "she" last posted on Jan 25th and this account was created on Jan 23. Coincidence? Are they the same person? Did her dad from Salinas ground "her" and take away "her" wfigs posting rights? Or was this particular user inspired by "her" gimmick account so he decided to make his own? Put some respeck on doctorwhofan's name and show some appreciation for her contributions in assisting figure collectors in the Central Coast/Monterey Bay area, specifically in the city of Salinas, California with all of their Mattel WWE Superstars Collection WWE Fashion Dolls by Mattel needs.

Whenever I ask anyone in Smyths, they're usually really friendly and helpful - even when it means getting those huge ladders out... The big blue ones on wheels with the little cage door on? I’m sure those are made out of the old big blue steel cage lol

I'm not a fake account or whatever that means. I will admit due to my schedule I am only able to visit stores in a 30 mile radius so maybe Hollywood Hogan figures are only hard to come by in my area, perhaps where you guys are at they are easy to find. I figured the reason the guy got sorta short with me is because like someone else said, scalpers looking and asking for the figure. Yes, I'm a huge Hulk Hogan fan, he is the reason I watch pro wrestling and there are millions of others that feel the same as me. If I come across as annoying then I truly apologize and will try to limit my posts in the future.

As I continue my exclusive quest to find a Hollywood Hulk Hogan in the wild I had an unfortunate experience. I was at a near by Target when I saw one of their workers putting out merchandise in the toy dept. I took a chance and asked the guy if the Mattel boxes on his cart had any Ultimate Hollywood Hogan figures. The guy turned around and said " look, I'm tired of hearing about this Hollywood Hogan toy, if it's not on the shelf we don't have it". I was stunned at his rude response but having worked retail myself in the past just chalked it up to him having a bad day. Anywho, any of you guys had similar experiences asking retail employees about their stock? This didn’t happen big dog. Retail workers are mad chill.

Let me preface this by saying this is a true story and not satire. A week or so ago I was in Target to check the figures and the aisle was blocked by the poor guy who stocks sports cards and Pokémon (who doesn’t work for Target). As he was pushing his cart full of boxes towards me (and grown men were filling carts with football card boxes), he sees me and sighs really loud. I said “I’m just waiting to get by you” and I could actually feel his look of relief. That’s got to be one of the worst jobs at the moment. I REALLY ING HATE what has happened to the card hobby right now. It is ridiculous. No one cared before the pandemic and influencers and douchebags with douchebag followers glommed onto it parasitically trying to make every last cent off of it that they can and trying to play big money stock broker with cards and buying up Hoops rookies of LaMelo ball and trying to flip ultra modern cardboard for hundreds of dollars. And Panini too. I miss Topps and Upper Deck. Give me Jordan cards in UD product and autos from Mike and Lebron again. And god I miss getting Topps Chrome rookies of all of the latest rookie crop. I just hate what the hobby has become. It’s disgusting...and these new “collectors”. They make me want to vomit... *looks around...* oooooookay then guys... *walks away quickly staring at ground the whole time*
