As I continue my exclusive quest to find a Hollywood Hulk Hogan in the wild I had an unfortunate experience. I was at a near by Target when I saw one of their workers putting out merchandise in the toy dept. I took a chance and asked the guy if the Mattel boxes on his cart had any Ultimate Hollywood Hogan figures. The guy turned around and said " look, I'm tired of hearing about this Hollywood Hogan toy, if it's not on the shelf we don't have it". I was stunned at his rude response but having worked retail myself in the past just chalked it up to him having a bad day. Anywho, any of you guys had similar experiences asking retail employees about their stock?

Of course got it all the time looking for Cobra Island figures LOL 😂 I'm so used to it I just laugh it off they can care less they are just there to do there 9 to 5 and go home so you're bound to run into a a**hole once in awhile welcome to the club of collecting 😁

I don’t think I’ve even stepped foot into a retail store to buy figures in about three years. I just gave up. Between the horrible selections, to the prices, it just wasn’t worth it. I buy everything online now. I don’t have to waste my time and the only downfall is you’ll get

The sad part of that story is likely overlooked is the fact of how many s#!thead scalpers probably walked into that store and harassed that guy to that point.
Like having a bad day in retail definitely happens, I’ve been there too in the past but to name drop like that clearly means people harassed him to that point over a toy.

I never ask....if they’re not on the pegs (which is the norm for the Walmart’s near me) I just go back ever so often to check

I asked twice back in the day when E64 Pete Dunne was coming out. One was super rude, one was nice. Just never bothered asking after that. If I don't find it on shelves, I'll grab it somewhere online.

I usually get the ole "what's out is out" response after they take a minute to fake look on their device.
Also maybe the employee is PC and dislikes Hulk Hogan for the person he is.

The thrill is finding it in the store on the pegs. There’s no thrill in having it brought to you. |
