He is a liquidator from Canada. He somehow got ahold of all the remaining stock for flashback series 3 that was meant for Canada. He has made 10s of thousands of dollars [probably more than that]the past 2 years off that set. Infuriating to say the least. This is illegal. It's despicable, disgusting, and pathetic.

I even asked when they first when up how many he had and was told not that many. Well we all know that was a lie and probably had a pallet or 2 of it. I even told him you’ll make a ton and said he don’t have that many.

He most likely purchased it from Mattel. If they agreed to a deal and he paid for it, how is that illegal?

I agree he's a liquidator -- but just shows how insane the business is that they would 'liqiudate' something with so much demand. Clearly distro and business issues...

And how else would he have obtained that many sets without legally purchasing them from somewhere (whether it be Mattel, Toys R Us Canada, or Walmart)?

Maybe it was sitting around in a distribution center and they didn't know what they had. They are not a toy store, so those items are of little value to them.

How is that anti consumer? Walmart is a corporation, and all they care about is selling their allotted inventory. It’s better for their bottom line to sell all of the units than to have to reduce the price on them, or have to send them back to the warehouse if they don’t sell.

Damn all I wanted was 1. I’m not even in it because it’s a “rare” fig. Really just wanted it because I love that era of wrestling, loved Harley Race, & Mattel knocked the fig outta the park. Soon as they showed proto pics I marked out.

Walmart Canada did sell them. They sold them to the liquidator since they obviously had an over abundance of them.

I think I can explain how it happened...
I was at my buddy's toy shop and he had one Hulk Hogan Elite 34 mint in box marked for 70 bucks. As we were talking some guy asked if he could see so my buddy says sure and hands him the box, while that guy is looking at the figure another dude walks up and says I will give you 90 for it as the other guy was still checking the figure out LOL So the other guys says I will give you 95 lol and all of a sund a bidding war breaks out, long story short the dude that walked in bought the figure for 160 bucks! lol Any of you guys see anything crazy like this in regard to WWE Mattel figures and I'm not talking about the insane prices on ebay lol.
I love you.

That's how a liquidator works. There's entire stores like this. Walmart sold him to them because they're discontinued figures and it's just extra stock to them. He probably bought them from Walmart because that's what large retailers do with their extra stock they don't sell. It's how Big Lots gets elites. They don't order cases directly from Mattel, they buy leftover stuff from Walmart and Target.
