Seriously, the way some people act here is starting to make me pro scalper. Sound like a bunch of children. Scalpers aren't doing anything illegal, it's just something that is a bit of a scumbag way of making money. It's exploitation, that's why at Christmas time everything goes up in price on eBay. I left a Facebook group a few weeks ago because someone had bought 6 AEW Cody Rhodes Exclusive rings from Smyths and was "helping people out" by selling them on the group for £90, three times what they cost. That's not helping collectors out. In my opinion, selling at cost plus shipping is helping out. If this guy selling these is selling them for an extreme amount, then he's not doing anything technically wrong. I just won't ever support that but there's a ton of guys that do it.

Scalping is an ass thing to do. Every single day though it’s like someone killed someone’s pet puppy. The way some people here act, I kind of don’t want them to get the toys they are making such a big deal about. I really want the Ultimate HBK. Does it suck that it costs so much on the secondary? Yup. Do I constantly complain about it? Nope. I could afford it but it’s not worth hundreds to me so I just move on. It’s a toy. You and I will all live if we have it or not.

IMO there’s a difference in getting the opportunity to buy cases in bulk as opposed to waiting outside of stores until they open and running around picking up all the new figs including exclusives and chases and selling them for $100 before most people even get the chance to hit up a target.
If I had the opportunity to buy cases of that set for pennies on the dollar I’d do it. But I’m not going to go buy all the new stuff for $20 sell it for 3-4 times that to someone who could’ve bought it for $20 had my greedy ass not got there first.

Why did Walmart Canada sell them to him? That's how a liquidator works. There's entire stores like this. Walmart sold him to them because they're discontinued figures and it's just extra stock to them. He probably bought them from Walmart because that's what large retailers do with their extra stock they don't sell. It's how Big Lots gets elites. They don't order cases directly from Mattel, they buy leftover stuff from Walmart and Target. Shady and suspicious.

This is literally how a liquidator works. What's so suspicious about it? Is this even a legitimate liquidator?

The guy didn't do anything wrong. These are just leftover inventory from Walmart that he purchased at a discount. Because that's what liquidators do. Do you think he robbed a truck or something full of Harley Race elites?

People would be surprised what gets liquidated
There’s people online who buy whole pallets of ‘electricals’, toys’ etc from warehouses and unbox them on YouTube
Sometimes they’re a bust and others they will get fully sealed Lego sets which are retired and go for huge amounts or brand name sealed electrical goods etc
Franchise kicks in youtube is a good one to watch imo. He’s a wrestling fan for one and he also buys expensive funko blind boxes with guaranteed grails etc included. But yeah he gets pallets from big name places which liquidate stock

It's definitely kind of scummy but I don't blame him. If you came across cases of that exact series would you sell them at cost plus shipping because I and most others wouldn't.

If I got like 1000 Harley figures for less than $10-$15 a piece and I found out I could sell them for $250-$300 each? You best believe I'm making that money.

It’s simple if people stopped supporting the scalpers by purchasing from them then it would stop. But that’ll never happen because someone is always paying those outrageous prices. Of course sometimes I do feel like people here pointing out some of these sellers here are the sellers or their friends trying to get people to bid on it. Why even bring attention to them?

The thing is I hate scalpers who buy out all the new stock and sell for a stupid price. If people had some patience and stopped buying from them they would eventually stop. I don't see how anyone can compare older figures especially these that were long gone from retail and rotting in a warehouse. Some guy just got lucky and knew what he had by doing research. I can easily see someone who didn't know anything about toys blowing them out for twenty bucks to get rid of them.

He's selling all 5 for 250, which brings out each figure to 50 each. I've seen plenty of figures go for way more than that.
