I was an assistant manager at WalMart from 2010-2011 at three stores before going to teaching. When an Inventory Item hits zero the system generates an order for another case. Also, one of the hang ups is those who steal or don’t scan the right thing. For example the wrestlemania elites were $15 and the elites were $19, You scanned the WM elite twice and put both figures in the bag. Now the system shows you still have 1 elite and -1 WM Elite. It’s easier to correct negative inventory and just zero it out. But let’s say over the course of a year it shows you have 7 elites but you have none. Well no manager is gonna want to take that $140 loss, they may spread it out over weeks or just let it ride.
There was an option to request more stock at one time, and hope the DC would send it. The stores themselves are terrible for toys and collectors, but there really does seem to be DC or Mattel issues.

So I know we're talking about figure selection sucking, but is anyone's else's Walmart have bad inventory on clothing?. I went to mine and of course the figure selection is terrible. No Marvel Legends, WWE, or AEW. What I just recently noticed was the men's clothing was empty too. I’ve noticed mine doesn’t have a lot of the graphic tees unless they’re small size or a shirt no one wants.

I've spent $16,000 on amazon over the last 4 years. Money that walmart or target could have had if they bothered to stock shelves--not just toys--video games, consoles, shirts, etc.
I'm one person. If someone actually conveyed those numbers, multiplied to a large scale, to a high up suit (no store, district or regional managers) and they realized how much money they're losing, things would change. Rich people hate the idea of missing out on a dollar.

I’ve noticed (even in the Fall/Winter months) the low stock of pants in the men’s section. For work & everyday wear I like the Wrangler pants or even Dickies. Only sizes they’d stock the most was 34x32. Or they only have the bigger sizes in 1 or 2 colors is all.
Socks, under shirts, underwear empty most of the time.
Now with Spring/Summer time, the short section is just over flowing with stock. I picked up some cargo shorts for $4. Wranglers.

These are important points that people don't think about -- how something like how you scan a figure can everything up. I have been guilty of this in the food aisle; sometimes I'll buy 2 of one flavor, 4 of another -- and I just scan the same one 6 times. It screws up the inventory....
