At this fake party filled with enhancement talent? No. There’s no women there to also get their asses kicked by these 4.Why would the men beat up the women?

What a hell of a show. Last year's Revolution was my favorite ppv of all time and this just topped it by a wide margin.
Damn it feels good to be elite

It makes no sense that they all show up together within seconds of Sammy winning the match. Had they moved a little quicker they could have gotten to the ring with a 5 on 1 advantage. The future of the group was on the line. HUSTLE.
Awesome PPV.

Not a big fan of Stadium Stampede 2 but love that Sammy got the pin and rub.
The opener and tag team title matches both where really good.Loved the triple threat bout and think it was clearly the best AEW World Title match to date. But high light of the night and moment of the year was seeing a 62 year old Sting looking like he never stepped away and still can go.Just crazy to think at 62 and with neck issues,30 plus years of in ring wear and tear and now being out of the Ring for damn near 6 years that he could still look that good.

REALLY enjoyable PPV. I enjoyed each match, and had a great time watching. But those last two matches were so much fun.
My top 5 of the night were
AEW World Title Match Stadium Stampede Hangman vs Cage TNT Title Match AEW Women's Title Match

Cody needs to go away for a bit, though. Everything he touches and does is so extra, and forced, and hokey.
Ogogo needed that win tonight. But Cody Cena had to dash that. Every time. Nobody gets one over on Cody... sigh.
So sick of 'im.

I once saw someone call Cody the very best three star match wrestler on the planet and I think that kind of fits. I’m a fan of his just as I am his brother and was his dad, but I’m not into how he is presented in AEW. It feels too forced.
Sounds like a fun show that most enjoyed which is great. Some of it I’m sure I’ll track down. Glad to see Henry get something to do since WWE wasn’t using him.

Cody has to be building into an insufferable "face of the company" heel, hasn't he? Can someone with actual pull be that oblivious and self-absorbed by accident, especially in a company whose pride draws from being for the smarks and not taking itself too seriously?

He has been vocally headstrong when called out about some of the things he’s said in the last year so I don’t know. Especially after that tone def promo. Would be wise to turn it into a character for the heat.

Can someone with actual pull be that oblivious and self-absorbed by accident, especially in a company whose pride draws from being for the smarks and not taking itself too seriously? The amount of times I've thought that we were headed in that direction, only for it to go right back to square one. "Oh, okay. Doing cocky push-ups mid match. Pretty heelish!" :::gets a lecture from Arn, stops, goes back to being white meat babyface. Dead end, never mentioned again::: If this is long term storytelling, it's gone on too long. The only ones who defend Cody at this point are knob-slobbing marks, who see Saint Cody as not being able to do any wrong. The rest of us see him for the insufferable clown that he is, with an even more insufferable wife. Whether the former is purposeful, that's up for debate. His wife is 100% unintentional. And part of the reason, in my opinion, that people began turning on him in the first place. No one can tolerate him by proxy of Brandi, someone who shoves her way on into the spotlight any chance she gets. These people, however, that say Cody is the biggest face of the company... HA! That is laughable. Hangman and Jungle Boy got bigger reactions tonight. Hell, Lio Rush did. These forced jingoistic promos and dress, the put on cheesy smile, the He-Man booking--those certainly aren't helping Cody--other than making him more hated. Homelander there didn't need the win tonight. Full stop.

While I was interested in most of the card, I ultimately decided to order the PPV to watch Sting go one more time. I felt the PPV was pretty predictable, but an enjoyable PPV for the most part. There wasn’t any surprises and I felt all the matches had the correct winners.
There were things I would have done differently. Such as I would’ve had Hangman’s win not been because of the confusion of Cage being distracted. I know why they did it this way, but I felt Hangman should have won it in a more clean fashion.
The tag team championship match was entertaining, but I feel it could/should have been about ten minutes shorter.
The Casino Battle Royal could have benefited with the use of some better talent. But when Jungle Boy’s music was still playing while he was in the ring for about 30 seconds I knew he was going to win it. So that could have been handled better. The Joker should have been a bigger name in my opinion. And speaking of Jokers I found it funny that both Penta and 10 had what looked to be Joker themed attires.
And while the right team won I felt the Stadium Stampede was too comical for my taste. Such as the “club“, Jag coaches and walk in freezer segments were corny as hell.
Now as for the criticism Cody’s getting here. Yes, people don’t like the patriotic format in this day and age. But it was a little throwback to the past on a Memorial Day weekend PPV. Of course he was going to win. He was paying homage to his father the “American Dream” on Memorial Day weekend when the country is coming out of the pandemic. So him winning was a no brainer.

Spare me the Memorial Day Weekend crap. He just wanted to feed his ego again. Thats all he, Omega and the Bucks do and its what has driven me away from AEW for the most part.
