I can't believe Mitch put out that drawing of the Bulldog. He's been on a roll with some good stuff -- but that looks like it could be one of the worst ever. Besides being overly muscled, I don't think it looks too bad at all. I like the attire he's gone for. I'm banking on the idea that these concept drawings are basically pointless when it comes to what the figure might actually look like. Besides, it doesn't appear that Epic are putting out the 3 Bulldogs at this point, and the one that was teased by Chella didn't look too great with the big spiky tassels etc. |

Mantaur, Moon, Booger, etc are the kinds of figures that Hasbro arguably should've been putting out had they continued into 1994/1995.

Orient Express are supposed to be coming now… if the proportions weren't so off, it would look much better I need to see it next to something. The figure doesn’t look bad to me but his mass looks to be closer to Yoko than Bam Bam or Earthquake. Orient Express is a good signing, definitely fits the Hasbro era. Something off about that Mantaur. |

Yeah I gotta say that is pretty sleezy. I’ve defended grapplers and gimmicks, supported Mitch even felt bad for him when the major pod guys pile on. Maybe we are starting to see the carny side of Mitch that Meyers and cardona speak of. Regardless if they are going for more on eBay , either sell them privately on eBay or put 5-10 bucks mark up as cheaper price was pre order exclusive. Imagine if zombie kept a bunch of jaretts and l sold them for 100 bucks. Comes off very unprofessional and lost some respect for him. Say what you want about zombie , he could have sold his damage card ones for more when market was at its peak, but sold them at a discounted rate. This about sums it up for me. For a guying trying to enter a pretty competitive market the scalping of his own figures seems like a basic no no. I would think he would want to get these into the hands as many collectors as possible and hope to create repeat customers. Same thing with the SD comic-con repaint for $90. I’m sure he can probably sell 100 of them but how many people did he turn off in the meantime? I just picked up two Mike “Booger” Shaw for less. I’m starting to become a ZST fan simply because his process seems more thought out and he pays attention to detail. Welcome to the dark side. At least we have cookies. |

No exaggeration here, when I was a kid The Orient Express were my most wanted Hasbros by a mile during the first year I was playing with my figures.

It's been a while since there were a few retros coming out that I was excited to pick up. I'm most excited for the Bulldog, but Max Moon is a probable pickup, and the Orient Express. Mantaur, Booger and OMG could also be in the pipeline for me.

I have only ordered Mabel from G&G, which *looks* great - I hope the final product matches what is shown online. I'll plan on picking up most of what anyone is making for the "missing" Hasbros - Orient Express, Power and Glory, Slick - it will be the first time I buy an entire series from Zombie. I still say Dino Bravo is almost a near perfect fit into the Hasbros. ( I know, some of you disagree )
PN News also looks like a buy for me. Will be glad to get King Haku whenever he arrives.

So Kamala is no longer apart of KWK. He said the family backed out and hoped they would reconsider at some point. Major Pod said the family weren’t signed in any way. Which is interesting because there were prototypes and I thought KWK said the family approved the designs but any post related to Kamala has been deleted. Then again, he also said wrestlers families could meet him in Chinese court over licenses. So yeah.

The way he came around still leaves a bad taste. If the Major guys didn’t make it public he still would do business the way he originally planned to. He gave in because of a crapstorm, not because of a change of his attitude. His behavior falls back to him I guess. Hopefully we will see Kamala appearing in either Grapplers and Gimmicks or Heels and Faces as a non jumper retro Kamala is desperately needed. Maybe they canceled the deal due to an agreement with WWE. We will see. |

Wow - just saw 3 Tony Norris' sold for 100 each on eBay. Granted, only 3 -- but that's still a lot! I'm seeing the prices coming down a fair bit on Hasbro and retros lately. ZST's pink Sabu is £50 on there, which is currently cheaper than buying it direct from ZST. There's still some silly prices on there, though. |
