I collect Andre the Giant items. The Hasbro Andre was my white wale which helped me become a collector. When I was a 5 year old kid, I saw it in stores once and begged my mom for it. We couldn’t afford it at that time and I was devastated. Never again did I see it. Through out the years, she has gotten me Andre items here and there to try and make up for it lol. It took me roughly 22 years before I got my hands on one. Now I have amassed a considerable Andre collection. Yeah. I did not expect this either. Glad he is going with the blue tights instead. This will go nicely with the King Haku figure that is coming out. Hope they fix the out of proportion legs/upper body. Unless the legs are really bent in the picture and we just can tell. |

Andre feels like the weakest one they have showed so far. We have already gotten a figure from Hasbro of him. When this started they were showing a lot of great choices that still have not been put in a lineup and are being passed over by new announced figures.

Wow that’s not rons best work. That’s very out of proportion To be fair, Andre was very out of proportion in his later days. This might actually work. Lets see how it will be translated to a sculpture. |

Anybody recognized the significant difference in Rudats signature? Drawing looks different, signature looks different... maybe Ron is only giving his input and is not drawing anymore. It’s not important enough to care, just realizing the significant difference.

I really don't see the appeal in a ZST figure of a guy who already had one of the best, most unique hasbro figs originally....

I agree that this does not look quite like some of Ron’s normal work and it definitely does not look like his signature from what I have seen. However, the shading techniques and other hallmarks line up pretty well with the rest of the artwork from this line. I think the level of detail in the face is what really sets it apart. |

As a commercial illustrator myself, those kinds of things happen all the time. That’s pretty much what I was guessing, hence trying to not value it too much. Rudat hasn’t become younger so he simply may not be able to draw everything as fast as in the 90s. Something that I wouldn’t want to make public either. I see this slowing down process with my architects aswell. Once they reach the 60 you can see them slowing down every 1-2 years and you need to give them a different focus sich as passing experience to the younger and overwatching them. Anyway, Andre will be a cool figure. Cant wait for recreating the classic moment when Danhausen bodyslamed Andre... oh wait... |

I am beyond excited for this figure even if it isn’t perfect. Good job with this signing ZST! I hope we get a few more! Genuine question - why when we already have a great hasbro? As big a signing as it is, it just looks off in that drawing. Obviously will be waiting for a prototype before I pass any judgement, but that is a huge signing from ZST!

Being a moc hasbro and retro collector, this is great for me. While I’m sure Mattel will do a Version of him in their new line, at least I know I can definitely get him MOC now without spending $300

I think he's done the right thing by doing him in the Blue singlet for final release. And yeah, it's kind of a running joke now that when Chella announce something Zombies in an hour later with something. |
