Zombie just confirmed that UK shipping will indeed be available and he was just joking around. Well, yes... at least I got a good laugh. Summed up I am happy that I can still order the product. Let’s just hope the figures will be better than his jokes. Wow….I’m all for a laugh - but that just seems more like some kind of snarky dig to wind up potential customers, right? Or maybe it’s just me reading into it ….🤷🏻♂️

Reminder to keep the discussion to the artwork and releases of images. Keep your personal opinion of people involved to yourselves. It’s also valid to discuss the release dates, especially when they keep shifting with no acknowledgement they are moving. One might think that’s because he’s hoping we won’t notice they keep sliding further away Release dates and product information is acceptable. Speculating someone’s motivation is not. Please respect the thread or make your own and watch it get removed.

If more preorders come before series 1 is shipped it’s bc a factory is asking for more money and holding figs ransom.

Yeah, this sorta stuff does unfortunately happen with Asian factories from time to time. A company I worked for several years ago, tried saving money on getting some stuff printed in Asia that easily could have been printed domestically. We paid. They claimed it ended up costing more than initially quoted. Asked for more money. My company asked for proof of what went wrong/why it cost more money. They wouldn't answer those questions and said if we didn't pay, they were going to just destroy everything. We come to find out, they never even printed it in the first place. The company lost the money, our production person almost lost their job and we all lost our year end bonuses.

Maybe because US sales didn’t reach expectations? Who knows? But it was an about turn since he made it clear posting to the uk was an ordeal initially

Maybe ZTS hasn't acknowledged dates moving because dates haven't moved? They're still scheduled to be released in February which was his last announced release date. People have speculated themselves into a tizzy over one word choice attempting to create a gotcha moment. Well his posts are conflicting and unclear Also today he has said “production samples will be ready to show shortly” so have they have not even gone into full production yet, what if there’s an issue with the sample? We have Christmas coming up, Chinese New Year is 1st Feb so factory close down aprox last week of jan for anything from 1-4 weeks I would imagine these are coming by sea which has a 4-8 weeks delivery time but at the moment the world situation has caused issues with that across all areas of commerce So even if the production sample comes tomorrow and there’s no issues production would likely not start in earnest until middle of Feb so realistically in my opinion you won’t receive them until earliest mid April. This is only from what I’ve researched before and google searched, I could easily be wrong and it depends on what factory and how long they’re closed, if he is using sea or air etc so lots of variables but I just can’t see how they’re on schedule for Feb. I’d welcome opinions though because I’m by no means an expert as I say it’s just from what I’ve googled etc.

Shortly is relative… if they’re shown in a week that could easily mean that he has them in hand and hasn’t photographed them yet. It could mean they’ve shipped and he just doesn’t yet have them in hand. It could mean a million things but if he expects to show them shortly then the last thing I would assume is that they haven’t gone into production because that in and of itself will take time… then for then to be shipped… then for then to be photographed… it would be impossible for them to be shown shortly (depending on your definition of shortly) if they haven’t even gone into production, so that statement leads me to believe that everything is actually more in schedule than people are convincing themselves of.

The word sample Prior to going into full production samples are made - obviously they’re not going to produce x thousand of a figure until it’s signed off and that’s what a production Sample is. Exactly the same as a test pressing for a record, it’s done to a-ok the final product. If he said “the final product will be shown” or similar but he said production sample “ A production sample is a perfect prototype of your design that reflects your the finalized specifications” As I say I could be wrong but I’m going on the terminology he is using

Living in Australia I'm super bummed about not being able to order the latest Danhausen offering, but I've got to be honest, I'm loving the sculpts that I'm seeing from ZST and will probably end up paying more than I should to get my hands on a few of them (JJ, Danhausen and Series 2). I've only just stared collecting in the last year or so (WWE Elite, AEW Unrivalled, Chella & Micro Brawlers) and I cannot speak or weigh in on the debates about LJN or Hasbro accuracy, but this output seems like a must-have line in my un-educated opinion

He said yesterday carded samples will be shown in the next few days, not sure what that means but the Kevin Sullivan sculpt looked fantastic.

Could well be - but again that’s where the communication is lacking imo, it’s unclear. Might be because of my line of employment but a good message would need no explanation and his often contradicts or leaves things unclear. Literally that one word “carded” could’ve made it clear. Just a bit more care and attention to the message he puts out and keeping it consistent would go a long way imo Look at chella, junk shop dog etc. Their communication is always very clear and there’s no ambiguity. Junk shop especially - doesn’t need to consistently put messaged out and when the do it’s spot on imo Literally there’s a list: 1. Conflicting dates 2. Saying Danhausen comes with accessories then months after saying “bonus accessories for early pre order only” when originally the bonus / pre order part wasn’t mentioned 3. Putting Dan Hausen up for pre order then a few days after saying the current price is a Black Friday special and price will increase after when that wasn’t mentioned in the initial tweets mentioning the pre order All very basic rookie mistakes and not something you would expect or put up with from experienced business people / companies and he’s been selling toys for a long time and is successful snd experienced so shouldnt make those mistakes imo

Totally his prerogative. Us consumers can only base our decisions on our interpretation of the information we have. So far he hasn’t falsely advertised and if he ever does we'll hopefully have some recourse. His reputation will definitely impact the his sales. I’m sure he understands that and I haven’t heard him complain about that yet. If he’s good with the repercussions of his communication (or lack thereof), so am I.

He hasn’t publicly promised anyone he’s sending figures on a specific date and then had that date come and go. That would be false advertising.

I would give ZST the benefit of the first release here. He is clearly enthusiastic to finally release his first wave. Pretty sure he has to learn alot as all the others before him also had to (Super7, Chella come to my mind). I don’t expect wave 1 to being released in Febuary, but he should just aim for it. If it turns out that Chinese New Year or the pandemic are causing issues (very likely), we will look at a later release date. I really don’t see any problem here. This guy is currently creating his own toyline. That is a wet dream for everybody herr. Allow him to celebrate and enjoy it. Pretty sure he will be more disappointed than anybody else if the figures are getting delayed.

The basics of communication are the same though I mean what doesn’t help him to be fair is the fact Twitter still doesn’t let you edit a tweet which is silly! Facebook, Instagram, message boards like this all let you edit but Twitter doesn’t so if he’s too eager snd sends the tweet it’s a nightmare to delete it and re-do it to add a word or two in or whatever.

With the recent Chella announcement (BC Ultimo Dragon an Sonny Ono) the inevitable ZST announcement is an alternate head/or even an alternate figure. I like it. http://instagram.com/p/CYAU6bjsKJY

I’m mixed on this one.
The head looks really good. However, I don’t want to buy two blue strap Andre figures. I also don’t necessarily want a repaint with a new head. If ZST were to at least change something else about the body, I would be more interested. As it is now? I would prefer if he just made it into a second head.
Honestly, if any figure could use a second head, I would give it to Bundy. His mouth-open look is iconic but so is his mouth-closed/imposing look.
