Jesus who cares about the logo.

So as an old collector - loyal and grateful to Mattel for the elite scale side - with compassion for who WWE will sign and who will Mattel pull the trigger on - I will express ... I am SOOOOOO sad that there are not NEW to the line figures for Legends! I think at minimum there should be at LEAST one new to the line Legend. I do like JYD's red pants - that is how I knew him best. Warlord looks great but can we get him through Ringside or wherever they sell? If not what's the point? Nash looks good but I have tons of him. I like Piper's hair a lot and think there is a better Piper to be had ... but this face no. So I hate to be Debbie Downer ... but for a guy who loves his Mattel WWE elite figures this lack of NEW to the Line Legends has this collector bummed.

Legends 12 + Warlord for me. Totally happy with the announcements. That Outsiders shirt is a nice touch. 🤙🏻

A few good figures here (I love the detailed pants mold on the new Elite Strowman), but some of these are a huge miss.

Nash is pretty cool. Not the '98 one I wanted, but it's still a pretty memorable look of his early nWo days, so I get why they did it. Good choice on attire, and the shirt is an unexpected nice touch.

JYD is great. We got the original white one and now red/blue. Hopefully this one doesn't shelfwarm as much as the Elite did.

I gotta be real about that Piper - that figure sucks. I don't know why Mattel is so inconsistent with hair color; he looks like he's wearing a wig. I also feel like Piper should've had this kilt:

They always default to the plainest one.

Billy Gunn is disappointing, too. The spreadsheet problem rears its ugly head here. No logo on the crotch again (being overly cautious for no reason), awful kickpads that don't connect to his knees like his real gear did, etc. I don't think white was the way to go, but that's just personal preference. I guess they wanted black boots to not distract from the DX Army outfit. I'll be skipping this one.

That Basic Braun joins these illustrious Worst Basics of All-Time:

They all have this ugly pea green color, too. Painted on shirts look terrible, and Braun having crazy baggy Hardy Boyz pants with neon green shoes further seals the deal on this one. Not all Basics are bad - The Flair/Giant set is fantastic - but I feel like the $10 pricepoint is no longer conceivable in terms of consistent quality. Drew and Charlotte have no neck, and they aren't the only ones with glaring flaws. Retailers really want the budget figures, though.

To bring it back home to be more positive, that Asuka is stunning. They even molded her stomach wrap! I don't know who a lot of these NXT people are as I don't watch modern WWE much anymore, but the girl with the pastel purple gear looks really nice. I love her gradient details in the entrance vest. Warlord looks cool - it's different enough from the other one to warrant a new figure.

I'm looking forward to SDCC to see what else they got planned. I have a feeling the Ultimate Editions are going to steal the show.

I'm thinking that they probably don't... I mean, it's been over 3 years since the Flashback 3 one and there's been no sign of him since - knowing that he had a very limited release and is quite sought-after, I'm sure Mattel would have released another one by now(?).
